The sizzle in the Steak
With the RDX engine under the hood, and true entry-lux interior (instead of Accord version 1.1) this could have been a big winner....loved by all.....one can only imagine.

That's because the interior IS good. The only complaint I have is about the silver plastic trim that was on the 2nd gen when it first came out. I don't know if it's still there after three model years though. It's definitely on par if not above most in its class.

Same...I don't notice anything feeling cheap inside the TSX, both 1st and 2nd gen. I'd say that my friend's Audi Q5's interior feels cheaper than the TSX....so much hard plastic.

+1, last time I sat in a TSX it was a 2010 but I don't recall anything being low-grade.

Look at the photo comparos of the TSX v Crosstour.
http://blogs.insideline.com/roadtest...tour.html#more
Crosstour looks far and away the more "lux" interior.
Acres of hard silver plastic "looks" very "cheap".

it's the same wheel with different cover and slight trim variation.
Stitching?!?!? Seriously?
Nothing can hide the acres of hard silver plastic.
Fake plastic wood trim in the Crosstour even looks like a step up by comparison.

i have said it years ago. Accord and TSX have almost identical interior.
i wouldnt call it a step up but they are the same to me. You cant really say either interior is better than the other cuz they are the same...
I guess good for Accord owners and TSX owners will find every possible excuse to demonstrate their interior is better but they are the saem

Fit and finish of TSX is above Hondas.

^^ If an overabundance of buttons makes the car, then Honda/Acura wins in spades!!!!
#3014
Infact TSX has the least amount of buttons among its competition.
Count the buttons left, right, up, down & also on sterring wheel.
Center console is full of buttons.

I've always hated the wrinkled leather on Honda's leather seats. The wrinklyness is reminiscent of a puckered anus.
I know they have to differentiate from Acura somehow but Jesus, pick some other pattern. The seats look aged even when they're brand new. Just can't beat the perforated leather.

A4 even has jog dial to left for lights

Steering wheel is thicker with much nicer seats for EuroAccord. This is fist time interior of Euro Accord is better than TSX apart from electronics, bi xenon active cornering lights and newer rim design.

i wonder how many people have actually sat inside a TSX or done more than read a car and driver where they commented on the buttons D:

I didn't mind the 2G TSX. Drove it a few times as a loaner when I had my TL. Not bad for it is, the buttons made sense to me and I quickly adapted to the car. It was definitely not as raw as the first gen, but I liked it.
Not enough power for me to want as a DD though.

Honda/Acura perforated leather =
Honda suede/red stitching/Acura umber interior = OMG do want!!
Honda anus-look wrinkled leather =
even a brand new off the lot Honda looks like it has some wear on it's seats... not a good look IMO.

Intermediate
New TSX Special Edition Coming "SE"
Rumour or fact.... in October...coming for 2012 TSX SE, exclusive black seats, accented with a red backing and new for TSX, a black headliner + red interior stitching and red interior lighting, combined with aluminum pedal plates.
A dark wheel finish will be unique to this model.
Only four exterior colors to choose from, white, black, silver, and a true red, (do you remember Milano Red).

Too bad the wagon won't get this, with a 6MT

What they should have done was avail the 6MT for TSX V6 consumption and then badge THAT as an 'SE' (or Type S).

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. When they price the TSX V6 just 500 cheaper than a base TL, I'd imagine most people who go for the more upscale TL. I understand that if they price the TSX V6 to cheaply, then it might hurt the sales of TL. I personally think the TSX V6 should be priced at $33k, and the base TL at $36k. That means the TSX V6 would be $3.5k more than a TSX I4, and $3k cheaper than a base TL.
