More shots taken today. Acura is trying to make a statement this will make it to production. You can see the rear taillights and pano roof!

From the rear pics, looks like a regular trunk opening. Not a fan of size or shape of opening, my A4 is rectangular which helps when loading big boxes. Disappointed if not a hatchback, reminds me of my TL

A4 is the best bro! This new TLX is not good and no one will buy it. I heard for the next generation of A4 is sold out for the next 3 years. Is that correct?

Let's say, I am biased and blind. Please show me one of your posts in the last 6 months that you had something good to say about Acura.
I am very respectful of your opinion and view. You don't have to like the new TLX and so on but if you are here, there must be something that attracts you....I have never been to an Audi forum in my life. I still believe Audi is an awesome brand and they make solid cars. Last but not least, the current A4 is a beautiful car. I won't deny that and I have nothing to prove.
But I also know the new TLX and Type S concept are awesome and will follow the success of RDX. You're making comments about the trunk won't stop people to praise or buy it.

Your point being? Only stating my point of view. Even with a million hp and pretty face, if families can't use it ...it'll sell less compared to RDX. If the RDX gets a type S, people will move to that platform. Other companies are learning, look at the VW Arteon.
Reason I'm here...I actually owned a 2007 Type S, 2012 TL, and 2015 TLX.

Happy to hear that you owned an Acura.
Enjoy the new Concept Type S. I am sure you know better than anyone the success of Type S.

Only thing I'm saying is that Acura better test their shit for this one and include features owners want. Other brands move much more quickly. If Audi creates another home run, I certainly won't be the only one looking at it.

In reality I don't think Acura is intending for the TLX to out sell the RDX.

This concept looks amazing
If the car is released in spring of 2020 that means we'll have to wait until spring of 2021 to get the 2nd year models. Damn I'm not sure I can wait two more years while driving my lackluster Ford Fusion LOL
Also much as I'm enticed by the turbo V6 a base 2.0T is probably better for daily driving. I'm really curious of augmented reality makes it into the TLX Gen 2 and what kind of sound system it would have (you know, tech that makes commuting easier). .

This Type S concept looks great. I haven't liked the way an Acura has looked since the 3G TL era.(07 TL was my first) I have about 6K miles left on my powertrain warranty (trans was replaced last year and rear diff replaced a month ago)
So I want something for the interim.
I test drove the new BMW 330xi the other day. That thing is a SWEET ride. My issue is you can't get ventilated seats or android auto as options, they don't exist. If you want to step up to the model with ACC + LKA like in my current TLX, you can barely even find them with that option (Driver Assist Pro package) and if you do the dealers won't play ball on the pricing or terms. Volvo S60 deals have been pretty enticing lately but they do have considerable more road noise.

How many of us buy Acura because we want more for our money than BMW/Audi etc..? A lot - part of that is also not spending more on maintenance.
Obviously value is not the only concern or we'd just buy 4 b banger Camrys 😅
But, don't go charging BMW M2 or C8 prices unless you're somehow delivering an even more appealing car. Hard to imagine a new modern Acura that's more fun to drive than an M2 (and not a > $100K NSX) - can they pull it off?
If they deliver a new base TLX w/2.0T Turbo without a price increase, that's the one for me, even though I'll be super jealous of the Type S, just can't justify an over $50K price tag...

Auto News, as of two days ago, is reporting that Acura is moving to a five vehicle lineup, with the RLX being discontinued at some point: 2 sedans, 2 SUVs, 1 NSX as the halo. The news was buried in an article about the Type S.
I don't think many will miss the RLX given its poor sales.

The key to pricing on BMW is don't use a local dealer. Shop nation wide for the best deal. Order the car & pick it up in SC at the performance center.

Summer is Coming
It is a nice looking concept, but given Acura's track record of dumbing down nice concepts... and the fact that this looks like a clay model and not even sheet metal.... I'd say the production car will look a lot different than this.

Marking them up, so they cost as much as a C8, sorry, nope, that's not gonna fly (Acura dealers are already cringing at the thought of competing w/the C8, even before the new TLX has arrived).

Kind of a strong statement to make that no one is buying them. I still think they'll sell everyone one of them (eventually). Either people hyped up about the limited nature or the unique paint color and don't know some of the down sides most know on this board. . Even if it doesn't sell at $50k, they'll mark it down to the point were it will sell.

Marked down enough, it may be a great alternative to a standard TLX.

350 units is nothing. They will sell it at their desired price, believe me.
We represent probably 1% of the buyers and there are 1000s of buyers who don’t even watch a single review before buying a car. I am sure people
will be impressed by the colour and buy on the spot

Be interesting to see if the C8 finishes the NSX off. Looks like Chevy will sell at least 50,000 MY 2020 units.
