RandomRon, thanks for the great pics again, but looking at the cars in the background, they ALL look like cars for the US/Canada market. I didn't spot one car in those pictures that are not sold in North America. Definitely looks like the U.S. to me.

The picture wasn't taken in China or Russia... they were obviously testing a production model for one of those markets. Remember when all of the initial production pictures surfaced...? Go here if you don't remember: http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=1182281

It was determined that those were not US market models...
For the other countries, the front headlights/side markers are all clear... In the US and Canada they have amber on the sides because of our regulations...

In the other countries, the wheels are different... The V6 wheels have five thicker, dark spokes... The US does not have this.

In the back, for the other countries the rear turn signals are clear/amber... because of their regulations. For the US models, they are red.

Also.... the other countries still have the "Acura" badge... versus just the emblem... We no longer have the Acura badge, that was done away with starting with the 2013 models... if you look at the picture on the rear, there's an "Acura" badge covered up.

I don't care if it's Russia or Peoria, that TLX looks way too much like the blue Sonata that's parked in front of it. How does something like that happen?

It cracks me up that they tape over the badges with electrical tape.

The only way to distinguish a Sonata from the TLX is to ask the Sonata driver if his shifter capable has been detached (lol!!!!!!)

From this angle I think it looks really sharp - even with the (IMHO) poor choice in wheels.

Looks sharp, I am excited about seeing this car in person, sitting in it and driving it, so tired of all the conjecture and staring at 8 zillion pictures, getting blue balls here.

The q50 and gs350 resembles the sonata in some way... why not bash them too?

And please dont act like your 2009 TL is a thing of beauty

I had a GS350 and yes, the back looks much like the Sonata, as many cars have the same, similar, rear styling.

I wouldn't knock his '09 tho I am not a fan of the 09-11 4G, at all.

I think the protoype raised the expectations of too many here and now they bash Acura for every little thing.

sonata has a huge chrome strip between the tails, and the tlx doesn't...that amounts to a big difference imo.

not sure what's so great about the prototype tlx, too much chrome imo and I didn't see that the wheels were that great either.

The rims on 4 banger TLX are terrible. Certainly not befitting of a premium or aspirationally premium vehicle.

I don't think the point is to actually trying to fool everyone. It is a bit naive to believe that they are trying to do so.

It probably has something to do with obscure legal or corporate safety reasons. It could also be very simple explanation, such as: this car has been around for months, even before the production model unveiling, and they just didn't care to remove the tapes now.

Anyway, if it makes you feel better to believe that they are totally retarded, be my guest.

It would make me feel better if I thought people didn't still use that word in 2014. It usually says more about the person using it than the people they're talking about.

What? Didn't know the word "retarded" was a trend. LOL

Sensitive much? Besides, I wasn't even calling anyone as such.

Can I use this in 2014?

Indeed. I don't understand the sensitivity to words when they are not derogatory towards anyone.

Redskins = bad word? I don't like the name Cowboys, I want it gone!

It is a slippery slope. I find it difficult to express how conflicted I feel on this topic because it's often misinterpreted. Essentially, I support the right to be an jerk, as long as it's "just words". I also support the right to have enough self esteem to not let mere "words" bother you.

I don't say this (or do it), because I want people to be rude or mean spirited. I view it this way because I fear the alternative where someone starts telling us what we can say based on his/her criteria. Who needs another round of McCarthism or worse, book burning.

Yet we get up in arms about hidden exhausts, ugly rims, and about 10 horsepower too few or by those who view those things as not being important and argue till we're blue in the face with those who oppose our views on those things.

So if I called your wife the "c" word you'd be fine with it, right? Just a word. She's probably a b!tch too. Oh well, no big deal.

Did any of you Einsteins ever think there might be an actual REASON a person would be offended by that "word"?

It's not being politically correct. It's called not being ignorant. It's the same reason evolved, intelligent people no longer use the "n" word, or say f*ggot, or say "colored". Get your heads out of your asses, get off the internet for 5 minutes and try to educate and improve yourselves.

Not that I expect much more from a used car salesman and assorted other troglodytes who post on the internet.
