Well....after seeing the white ones, I am now back on board!! I guess I'll be joining Treblig and Stew4HD on the white TLX clan

I am offloading my TL this fall and will get my TLX in the spring. I will go with the bodykit despite the fact that its not as nice as I had hoped, its not a show stopper for me. Now I have to decide which engine/trim level. I am likely going to go with the V6 TECH (SH-AWD or P-AWS??)

What did I say, Weather!? :-)

OK, be daring and go with White on Espresso, but not White on Black.... how about that!? LOL

Oh! I got it now. So the button transmission thing was for the V6 Advance, but not for the SH-AWD.... sigh!

They had the first TLX rolled out as the silver one, and your dealership didn't get that!? LOL

love the recent pics.

interesting to see they opted to not put the "P-AWS" emblem on the TLX like they did on the RLX.

Weather.. White with Espresso and SH-AWD. That way you can tell us how much better the new SH-AWD is compared to the old system in your current TL.

The electronic button-shifter is in all V6 Advanced models, both P-AWS and SH-AWD.

Hey that's a good catch. Huh.. I would want the badge to show off that I have the system and not some model that doesn't, even though that model doesn't exist, it does now mentally in my head.

Cost cutting at it's finest!!

Black is equally, if not more difficult to keep looking good, no? Tough to hide swirl marks and fine scratches.

Ostrich and Timmy18....I am not sure if I'll go that bold with the expresso interior however, I will give it some consideration but I love my black interior that's for sure!

I am leaning toward the SH-AWD just because I like the system so much but before making teh final decision, I'll try the P-AWS just to see. I may be just as satisfied with it...at the end of teh day, it will depend on the features availables etc. I don't like to throw money away for nothing but at the same time, I never skimp out on the things I want. Rest assured I'll keep you guys informed when the order has been placed....in the meantime, I keep enjoying the TL

I think the electronic gear selector is in all V6 models. At least in the US, it is, I believe.

lol. I've been thinking that my last 2 cars have been black on black and I'm sick of trying to maintain their appearance -- I'm going with white.

Man, I can't believe all the complaining we've seen about the TLX's styling. Both the pics above show it to be a very nice car. That black SHAWD model is hot, hot, hot!

Just realized you have to get the Advanced trim to get the Puddle lights and the ventilated seats. Not sure about the LED door handles (Exterior)

WHY.

Advanced packages should only include the advanced technologies like the safety and driving tech. Not the amenities you find on Kia's and Hyundai's. Having pretty lighting is not advanced, it is a necessity lol unlike the driving tech.

They either do this because they don't think much of it or they try to lure you in by making you get that tech in you wanted the cooling seats and lighting.

Was it confirmed that there are LED door handles? I'm not sure if that's a feature on the tlx

I've seen an ILX with a bodykit in that color and it looked really nice. I still think the wheels are partly killing the excitement for this car. These aren't as bad as the I4 but still, not what I call Acura's best delivery.

^^Yes. Look at that black SHAWD pictured above. I don't know if those are standard or optional wheels, but it really changes the look/stance of the car. I like.

Actually, I don't think it's bad at all - in fact, it's much better than I had expected!

The Dark Cherry Pearl on the 2014 MDX is a different colour, isn't it? I also thought that it looked decent on the MDX too. Different strokes for different folks! :-)

Actually I like this pic of the Espresso color. I'll have to see it in person but White/Espresso is looking pretty good. My last two cars were dark, and my wife's new car is going to be White. I'm warming up to white....

The push button control is for the 9 speed transmission, so the V6/SH-AWD should have it.

The V6 wheels are the only ones I like. The I4's look awful, and the optional wheels are too busy for me.

Best way to describe it is little orange dots from all the road grime and contamination. Best way to get rid of it is spot treating it with bug/tar remover. However, if you give it a full detail like I did, it will prevent it and obviously protects it. So far I haven't had any orange burns or spots.

I didn't see that on my BWP TL. That sounds odd.

TL and TLX comparison

So... I realize I'm opening this up for all of the 4G TL hating trolls. and I almost hate doing this, but I thought it was necessary. lol. Here's a quick comparison of the 4G TL versus the TLX exterior size/proportions.

I didn't realize exactly how much of a boat the TL is... lol... and sorry (but not sorry) to you RLX owners, but as much as many hate on the 4G TL the RLX looks basically like a stretched out version of this with some tweaks. ijs.

Oh, side note... interestingly a guy was at the lot this morning looking at the TLX's... he had a newer 3 series. I wonder if he was just trying to troll.

Ps... I don't know why this always happens, but when I upload pics to photobucket, they significantly lose their quality. Thoughts??

Looks so much smaller than the TL! Interesting photos. But tales elsewhere that it feel smaller inside than the TSX are worrying. How it is possible to build a car on the Accord plank and end up with less volume inside than a Civic, if true, is very perplexing. It's almost as if some idiot up high said better make it small inside or it will hurt RLX sales.

That said when positioned against the TL it looks very neat. This car does seem more of a TSX replacement than a TL. Maybe the whole section should be as third gen TSX...it's only as it has SHAWD available that it is here.

Thanks for posting. It almost looks wider than the TL and maybe even a bit lower in the front. Obviously less in overall length. I like the TLX's appearance, but putting it side to side with the TL like this, it does not seem (to me, at least) that it instantly makes the TL look outdated.

The TSX is extremely wide, which makes it feel more spacious than cars generally thought of as larger, at least in the front seats. IIRC, the TSX was wide to accommodate a diesel engine in Europe, and Acura's U.S. team was irritated by the width until they discovered how well it handled.

BTW, I dig the Basque Red Pearl II color, which looks like a perfect match for the Ruby Red Metallic finish on my new G&L M-2500 bass guitar. Sweet! I'd probably go with white or silver though. As the traditional Japanese color for international racing, white is appropriate, and it looks great on the TLX, but I like how well silver hides dirt and it looks pretty good too.

Thanks for the comparison shots as I have been waiting to see the TL side-by-side with the TLX to compare its size. It looks like the TLX is sized in a neater packaged than the TL; especially considering the rear trunk opening - minus the visible exhaust haha. It also would be interesting to see it alongside the TSX.

Weird that they're saying the silver cars won't be produced until later when that's one of the 2 or 3 most popular color out there usually for any car, if not the most popular one.
