Hmm...
I like the CE's. Not sure I like Bronze CE's on Anthracite.
I think the Bronze would look best on WDP, and Anthracite needs Gunmetal.

My 2 cents, and that's all they're worth.

just my opinion, but i don't think CEs belong on ANY colored TL...best looking volks i've seen on a 3rd gen TL is Progressiv Spoke, Progressiv ME, TE37s, GT-V and SF-Challenge. I can only imagine it right now, but hopefully my GT-S will be right there with the rest of my favorite volks. I was gonna go with SF-Challenge at first but too many people have them and it's one of the oldest volk designs.

Everybody has opinions! I see so many UGLY circus looking chrome wheels, they make me SICK! The Mercury Silver 18" Volk RE 30's on my ASM 07 TL-S looks great. MANY people say they look great on a TL. I had a circle of people around my car at the Acura dealer, and today when I had springs put in many people said it looks real good, perfect match for a TL. These were not MY opinions, BUT I agree!

see now those are some hot Volks! i was planning on getting the same exact style and color for my 6spd Anthracite but changed my mind and might just get either Mercury Silver or Gunmetal. seeing these pictures makes me consider getting it in Gold again.

yeah please tell us the specs because I have brembos as well and it looks like you barely cleared the caliper.

Alright folks...here's the magic. My Volks are Face 1, 19x8.5 with a +43 offset. I STILL HAD TO USE A 8MM SPACER (5MM + 3MM) TO BEARLY and i mean BEARLY clear the caliper. +43 offset with the HIGH TYPE is what i got and it still doesn't clear and this is the highest offset they offer. I'm gonna go get a 10mm spacer and that should do the trick.

IF YOU USE THESE WHEELS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 235s if you're going low! Tomorrow...my car will be dropped =) After the Indy 500 though

GT-S is ultra sexy....don't jock my style...go buy some other volks

well right now i'm using the 5mm + 3mm and i get about 9 revolutions on the lugs...my guess is with the 10 i should still get about 5 so it should be fine...i have them torqued down at 100ft/lbs. But you raise a good point and HOPEFULLY i don't have to run new studs.

Ya know what else RS... Those spacers suck. Running a +43 offset with a 10mm spacer. = the equivalent of a +33 offset, and that's danger close to the outer fender. On a 8.5in rim, that's 18mm wider than stock.

Even with 235 tires, I don't think ou're gonna get as low as you want without a serious fender roll.

i used to run a +30mm offset using a 8 inch rim running 245s....and it was perfectly fine with the height i'm at now. Looking at the sidewall, i can tell that i can go lower and i will go lower because of the 235s. Before i used Falken FK-452 and it had a TINY bit of a rim protection so it rubbed the plastic when i hit dips on the freeway...

Tommy, I looked at GT-S specs on rayswheels.co.jp and if you have 19x8.5 and +43 offset, you have the LOW pad or C offset, the least caliper clearance. Someone somewhere told you the wrong information.

That's why you have so much lip, because the face is very low. You should have ordered the +36 offset (High pad or A offset) because this is the only one that will clear the Brembos without spacers. Look at it this way, if you have 8 mm spacers right now, you're already equivalent to +35 offset, just like my rims.

I'd start bitching at whoever told you that GT-S with 19.8.5 and +43 offset will fit your car. I'd try to demand a set of new rims at the correct spec, pronto.

If he ended up getting the +36 offset, would the lip still be the same? I thought the lower the offset, the closer the face of the rims to the caliper. I'm confused. I don't wanna have to get spacers when it's time for me to order Volks.

i'll check with Mackin on Tuesday...it's not Danny's fault cuz he wasn't sure so he asked Mackin MANY times cuz i kept telling him to check and Mackin said that it would fit. But honestly, i don't mind running a spacer cuz i get a nice 2.5 inch lip

Danny also told Mackin that i need the HIGH PAD model to clear the Brembo Caliper

Either way, it looks sick, yeah i have to run spacers so it kinda sucks i guess cuz my wheels in the front aren't Hub Centric...i'm gonna see if i can get some hub centric spacers OR get custom spacers made at a machine shop. But i'll talk to Mackin on tuesday or talk to Danny and have him talk to Mackin because they're all friends on a personal level outside of the business. Maybe try to pick up some kinda sponsorship for a Project Mu 6-Piston brake setup

No. There's no real direct correlation between offset and lip width. If you click on the link I submitted above, the rim depth column hows the lip width.

Right now he has 75 mm lip from from the spokes to the flange. If he gets the 35 offset High pad, it will be only 62 mm.

If you're happy with them, that's good. Oh, and I wasn't saying Danny messed it up...

My point is, you paid quite a bit money for them and they should fit perfectly without having to mod it.

Not sure if ths B offset should clear the Brembo, but B offset with +34 will set the rims almost exactly at where you are (with spacers) right now and still gives you 75 mm lip.

well...i'll make sure i get something for free...i'm not saying Danny messed up at all...he didn't know so he asked Mackin...Mackin messed up. But right now it looks like i'm gonna get some 15mm Eibach Pro Spacers since they're hub centric and then probably get 5mm shaved off.

Right on... Your testing will yield the oly true verdict. Just understand that the 8.5 in. rim makes 6mm difference, and this rims physically ride 3mm WIDER than an 8in rim with a 30mm offset.

That's a greta catch 260Hp. I was sitting here sweating my balls off that my GT-S's weren't gonna fit. I ordered the +36 offset pad A face.

Good luck RS, you can make it work.

Feb 22nd. I expect them any day... but I gotta tell ya. If I get the runaround, "next container" crap, I'm getting a refund on the spot (ordered gruppe-s.com).

Those GT-7s are lookin great, and I can be more than happy with them.
