I used to go to Baltimore regularly when my brother lived there, but he moved. Going to any big meets this summer? Or maybe we can do an ATF/pressure switch day for my car in B'more hehe....and then we can do simulaneous GoPro rolling vids of both TL's. That would be nuts!

I thought about that...how awesome it would be to mount my CONTOUR GPS on my fiancee's accord and have her record me coming up from the rear (lucky girl!), then mount it rear facing for the front of the car rolling shots. Would have to plan it accordingly and also when the sun is facing the right way to capture the calipers etc but not be so bright that the vids look too overly bright.

PS, just hit 81K last night...
My baby is growing up!
and yes, welcome to Sofla...95 degrees in April

Also, went out field checking the West coast (Ft. Myers) on Monday and ran into this community...these people have attached garages for their planes. WTH! Even the street signs are low to avoid the wings. How cool is that?!?!

ahh bummer. i'm going to 2 meets at the end of this month. cars for a cure and college park meet...check out the regional section (mid atlantic)...they are both big meets.

i'd be happy to help with the pressure switch/ATF stuff...lord knows i've done it enough times.

let me know man, seriously!

I have not even taken it out of the box yet, bud...
I'm weird about certain things and it's like a ritual. Even my DSLR, took me a month to finally start actually shooting stuff. The Contour is very straightforward, but figured I'd wait for something worthwhile to shoot. Plus, I don't have a mount for it in the car our out yet...I will probably get it working and go ride the mountain bike trails...or maybe stop by tootsies with it on.

Fark. I almost definitely can't make either of those meets because I plan to be overseas. It'll be well into May before I can get away. I'll definitely let you know.

Oh yeah, I remember you mentioning that at the meet hehe. You're right, it's pretty straight forward operation if it's like the GoPro. Just record and go. Does the Contour come with a weatherproof housing and some simple mounts out of the box, or do they sell all that separately like the GoPros?

Separately...what my sister did include is headband strap mount, and the bluetooth module to be able to view on smart phone and change settings. It's pretty robust to begin with and is water resistant, but they have a case for full on waterproof.

PS, Tootsies is a scripclub that used to be a wholesale place like Costco...it's HUGE. Not that i've been there more than once...but it left a lasting impression...

haha I assumed Tootsies was like an ice cream parlor or something. In that case, hide the Contour in your hat and take it with you...DO IT.

The one and only time I went there...was for my close friend's BP, I got hammered, and he got hammered. We stopped and picked up McDonald's at 4am...got home and I proceeded to tell my fiancee' how "In LOVE" with this one girl that was the "perfect" specimen etc...thinking she was just one of the boys.

The next morning she wasn't happy with me and I couldn't figure out why.

Well, she had to TELL me why she was pissed the next day. I was like WTF..."NO WAY, i wasn't in LOVE with her, although she was gorgeous and perfect and didn't look like she belonged there".
LOL...the things my girl has put up with...my saving grace is I've never cheated and never will.

Car's coming along good as always; those pics look amazing.im curious to see how you'll like the intake. I've always been skeptical about putting one on mine as well; almost seems like too much to risk. Especially with New england weather, im actually workin on my TL a little more now, you should check out the thread man and let me know what you think so far.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/project_cleans-progress-thread-852444/

nowhere near as much work as you; but hey at least i started lol

What?!/!
I went to stancenation meet last year, i swear, my car looked stock compared to most of those dudes.
I'll check it out, brother. Thanks!

I actually cancelled the order for the CAI for now. I have a plan, I already have a Dryflow filter on the way, and technically, if you remove the intake resonator you are drawing in air from the same "cold" area of the rear of the bumper rather than the engine bay. We'll see.

Hmm...cancelled, but you have a cone-style dryflow filter on the way? Going to make custom piping?

Yeah, planning on trying to modify the stock airbox from the bottom...to use the conical 6" filter...it's a HUGE filter. OR, I may make something and wrap it in insulation. We'll see.
Itching to find out why IHC and innaccurate think the throttle body spacer is bad news.

I didn't bother posting anything from the meet since John did a GREAT job of documenting, but I felt like I should practice a LITTLE. Overdid a little...but like em.

Well, I read what they wrote about it, and it kinda sounds like they are knocking it in "theory" rather than having tested it. I agree that it may not change things that drastically, but I also don't remember thinking that I lost throttle response from it.

There was that other guy from that thread I posted that said that it was actually ideal to have an extra inch. I don't know, but it's more work to remove it now for me...I might as well leave it.

J.

About the NSX, I took a few other ones...but none came out great.

Quanaman, lol...yeah, really.

Steven, thanks man, glad you liked it!

at this point it might be easier to tell you what I DON'T use to wash my car.
I honestly have so many products and methods now...
Always 2 bucket, recently added grit guard to both...sometimes I use a long handled brush, sometimes I use a microfiber mitt, sometimes I use optimum no rinse and a wide variety of soaps.

For protection, I've detailed the car before with optimum and meg 105 products. As a rule, i seal with Zaino Z2.

J.

Thanks Sean, I know it...was trying to bring out the clouds a little, i figured I was getting a little too saturated and dark...but thought it accented the orange of the engine sitting in my blackhole of a car.

in that case, you gotta practice with advanced>levels>select custom, then play with your color override and fade, and 'paint' the areas you want to change.

The black specks in the picture. One above Brian's car in the first picture and one above your car in the second picture.

Yeah if you look closely you can see black specs (dust) all over the place. Jeremy, take off your lens, point your camera to a bright white wall or a plain blue sky and look through the viewfinder....you should be able to spot any dust that's on the sensor or the mirror. If you don't see any specs, then the dust might be on the lens. Given the amount of dust I see, it should be very noticeable to the naked eye once you take the lens off and look inside.
