Alright...so the last of my birthday gifts arrived on my doorstep today!

Namely:
Exogear Exomount for my Galaxy S2. This this is amazing...watch this youtube.

Ever since I got the phone, I've found myself leaving it in the cupholder to see who's calling or check texts etc...once I got Torque app and bluetooth OBDII reader, I knew I wanted it visible!

AND, my Mishimoto black (chrome, nice surprise!) weighted shift knob. I loved my Monster knob but after trying my buddy's weighted shift knob in his Mazdaspeed3, I knew I wanted one too. The feel is a LOT more solid feeling in your hand. (No Homo, no offense TO homo, just not intended here). In addition, it always irked me that my coffee mug was in the way on my drive to work. Nevermind if the top was open and I had coffee "dots" from the open top on my shirt sleeve.
This is a universal fit, so you find the insert that best fits...then you bascially force it onto your threading. I stopped at this height for now...I'll probably go a little lower in the future but it's hard to get it back up any so easier to stop now. LOVE this shifter. I'll have to be better about putting up the sun shade though because I can tell this will be scalding hot.

Thanks Sean, haven't even taken it for a drive yet, looking forward to it in the morning but I can say that the feel and ergonomics of it feel amazing.

I knew when I put my oem knob back on a few weeks ago...as soon as I had that extra inch or two it made shifting so much smoother...this adds another 2 inches to that AND nice and heavy...without it looking like a truck shift lever!

hmmm. Thats definitely something I would look into.

Shift knob looks great!

Random; I'm sure you probably thought about putting silver Di-Noc on those silver moldings in the interior; just curious why you chose to do them the way you did instead? I think I ran across your thread about sanding them down. Looks good either way!!

I just ordered silver di-noc for mine...but I'm liking how you have yours. I did my cousin's TL in the silver and really liked how it came out too though

Its crazy how the price of that crap has come down lately; last year I orderd 5 sq ft for 45$, this year 4 ft for 15$ lol. Oh well...

Thanks man, very much. Honestly, I had considered spraying clear over it...or rewrapping with vinyl but guess what...I see a BUNCH of marks where I miss with the seatbelt and nail the side trim again. And i NEVER remember doing it...no matter what I slap on there, it'll be doomed! It's actually holding up REALLY well though...still thinking about going ahead and sanding all the other trim that matched that too. I'll get to it.

About the vinyl, I tried some stuff that was supposed to look like brushed aluminum and it looked like scratched chrome. SUPER ugly. Plus, it was hard to work with, once you put a crease in it, it stayed...so I scrapped it.

All good, man...might not be sold on the location, either...but the mount...it's the bomb! Perfect for watching the Torque app...or seeing who's calling or texting etc without having to fish for my phone from the cup holder.

As far as the shifter, thanks man...I LOVE this thing. My old one was 105 grams...this one is 385...and you should see the massive 12" by 12" box they shipped it in...what a waste! It feel so solid and goes into gear very very confidently (if that makes sense)...I love it. Just went out on my break and tried screwing it in some more...WOW, this thing is brutal...it's bascially an insert you screw into the knob and then you force it onto your oem threads...and you have to just muscle your way into threading it...gave me hand blisters!!! Got it about 1/2" lower and I think it's perfect now.

This actually wasn't that hard. It took less than an hour to do both and I think this stuff holds up pretty well. Here's a pic but I'm sure you've seen it installed on other members cars. IIRC DeathMetal did it as well. I've had the black version of this installed on my car for almost a year now I think and its held up REALLY well; and I'm pretty clumsy with my seatbelt too

Honestly...I've taken off my spoiler twice...mainly due to forum members pushing for it. BOTH times I didn't make it past a week...wasn't even the holes...I had made little carbon fiber covers for that. I actually MISSED IT. Very rarely do you see a full sized spoiler that matches the body lines of a car so well...
PLUS, i started looking around and EVERYONE and their MOTHER are getting the lip spoiler and the roof spoiler combo. No offense to those that have it, it's nice...but I honestly like the regular spoiler.
I HATE you rockstart. The more i look at your pictures the more i want a wing spoiler LOL
I will get myself one soon. BTW do you know where i can buy clips to cover wholes? i have the type s deck lip spoiler so if i removed it, it will two wholes

Hmmm...honestly, I got some vinyl and cut out two circles and covered the holes. That's good enough to withstand water entry etc...you can get some silver vinyl and you'd never know!

But be sure, man...cause once you put the holes in there to do the wing spoiler, you won't be able to go back (without ANOTHER set of holes). I'd suggest you keep what you got, honestly...you may look back one day and regret changing it.

Thanks man, yeah, I'm pretty happy with it...pretty sure I have a small exhaust leak that I can hear on full throttle but overall, it does sound pretty nice. Not too loud and obnoxious!

On a side note,
got the parts I needed for my next project. Ever since I got my staggered set up, I'd been wanting to be able to rotate tires and maintain the same stance. they are not staggered enough to make a visual difference on being front or back. So here's my solution.

+35 front
+45 rear (with 20mm spacer achieve +25)

when I rotate
+45 with 10mm v1 spacer (already have the 40mm extended studs on there) for a +35
+35 with another 10mm V1 (will be swapping my studs this weekend on rear, have one stripped stud anyway) for a final of +25

There, same stance, AND tires are non directional so can do full on normal rotate. 12K on my last set of tires was not OK for me....will rotate, and in another month, will get another alignment just to be sure!
Don't worry, if I'm successful, DIY to follow to compliment my front stud installs.

thought this was a cool pic showing reflection of the trucks in the yard at work...AND new shifter! I love this thing...gives me so many grip styles to choose from and the extra leverage is awesome for getting into gear.

and i liked the angle of this one from this morning in conjunction with the white lines on ground. also shows that I put my Barkeepers friend to work last weekend!

^^like those. are your tires staggared too? you'll love the reverse stag handling...

but on that lower picture, next time frame the bumper of your car on the light truck, the well is dark and hides the outlines of the car. if you keep the outlines really stark contrasted or whatnot the background fades away and the viewer sees the subject more.

Thanks Sean...yeah, one of the downsides to me uploading directly to photobucket via my phone email...is I don't have the ability to touch up...or I don't take the time to, let's say.

Thanks though!
Yeah, I'm staggered by 10Mm, not enough to see a difference in concavity so rotating them won't matter. But DEFINITELY will give me piece of mind to know I can rotate!

Stance satisfaction to you is like Inaccurate's diet satisfaction or Performance satisfaction to me LOL....hahaha

but none the less, you need to do the door lock mod, the door pin on the inside looks tall as a bish, cut it dude

You guys are really too too much!
I had never even thought about it! But I probably will leave it alone...I love how with the size contrast it looks as big as the friggin shifter!

My spacer ordeals...yeah, not kidding, mainly stem from having to get for me and for the fiancee's car...but I was super happy to finally figure out how I could rotate my tires AND keep the same stance with the use of spacers. AND, 40MM studs are long enough for a 10MM V1 spacer and short enough to run with no spacer with the oem lugnuts without hitting.

^^^ for a while i actually did a little research.....to replace the pin with an LED like in the BMW/AUDI models.....so when its locked it will look light up RED and when unlocked GREEN....

but them i realized i didnt have the skills to pull it off.....better off putting the same effort in the engine

PS: Jer....you are right....the height does match the shifter and the parking brake height LOL....otherwise the lock pin will look like a midget in a basketball game

I do NO auto lock and NO auto unlock...I don't want any extra wear and tear on all my lock actuators. Bad enough I have to lock/unlock twice every time to have the window AUTO up or down with my window mod.

Same deal but doesn't give the "P" option, I think it's upon ignition start and/or once you hit 10MPH...something like that.
Either way, I keep a police baton in the car so I don't worry about the doors being locked...that and I have a thing with biting strangers.
