Thank you Anil...that's awfully kind of you!
I may revert to red tails tomorrow...I miss rockin the OG tails...plus, I kinda miss the contrast. Maybe I'll do the type s tails, but to be honest...they're played out at this point. I don't miss the ghost tails, they look great on heatseekers, but the chrome corners were too much for me.![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Actually, I'm kinda pissed I sacrificed my original reds for science (since they were cracked anyway) because I could have used them to do the smoke diffuser removal mod...I am not doing that to these, in pics, I don't like how they came out that much.

I've been seriously considering putting my red tails and sidemarkers back on. I really want to but I'm too lazy to pull of the rear bumper

Wow that's not bad at all.

no sir, the secret is a set of those small 90 degree screwdrivers...honestly, that's what takes me the most time...getting the part behind the rear wheels...
Swapping the LED boards is butter now. The more we chat, the more certain I am that I'll do it. Only thing I haven't dug about the smoked rears is how dark the signal is since Simon decided to smoke the chrome reflector along with diffuser.
I think I'll probably leave the type s sidemarkers though...I like that you look at it and go WTF year is that...something about the reds is still classy to me though...again...on NBP and WDP, the reds look sexy as fawk.

Hey Fellers, I made up my mind. Bye Bye Jpipe...

Tyler, took me a little longer than usual today, but I took my sweet time. Jack the rear of car up a little, makes it easier to get to the bumper screws...one side at a time. I'm really happy, honestly, sometimes we reinvent the wheel for no reason. I won't say I'll never put the smokes back on, cause you know I'd be full of shit, but for now. I'm super happy. Even took your advice and threw on the base red sidemarkers too. Turn signal is super bright with the LED bulb!

On a car with so little contrast, I really dig how the red ties in my plate and adds some interest to the rear of the car. I was tempted to do the type s's...but really, they are so played out...they look great, but something about the OG's was so nice too.

Damn that looks sweet J. I love your car so much. We need to plan like a road trip or something, too bad we don't live in NC. I like driving on the mountain roads where my brother lives.

The first time I drove in the mountains....
My brother, his wife, daughter and I went bowling and out to dinner. They both were drinking and wanted me to drive. So my first time driving was in the dark, in my brother's truck I wasn't fond of and both drunk navigators lol, we were in the next county over that night. Wasn't too bad but I think it'd be hella fun going through in a TL with all the windows down and sunroof open, along with 60 degree weather.

surprisingly, I read this thread on a daily basis but have never posted anything in it.
on that note, I love what all you've done to your car. it truly has become a nice work of art.
I do like the contrast the Red's and the red sidemarkers give it. I will also agree with you that the Type S tails are pretty damn played out...
lastly, props to you for keeping the OEM wing. when I first got mine I hated it, but after seeing quite a few AM cars on here with the lip spoiler/no spoiler I'm glad that I have it to be an individual(well besides you lol).

Don't worry bro, I get that on the daily. But in the end they still agree that the Type S rear with the ATLP quads look BA. Back on topic, your progress is coming along nicely.
#2593
^^^oh...well, definitely wasn't knocking the look, my friend. Again, there's a reason everyone rocks em, they're gorgeous...and you have ATLP!?!? You must be a BALLER!
Don't worry about being on topic, I gave up that fight long ago on this thread!
