LOL looks good man. I remember reading this thread a while and you were basically saying you'll never get the OEM ones and only got the weather tecs because they were cheap. I was like, yea right I can bet you'll go oem and look what happened
That's the power of ACURAZINE for ya![Roll Eyes](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

Agreed! I have mine in a box waiting to get installed
OEM just looks a lot better than WTech.
BTW - was the install straight forward per the manual? I was going to follow this:

I used to sketch random things...a little watercolor too...never stuck with it long enough to get good though...you obviously have real talent.

The visors on a NBP TL are very nice because of the color blend. A very nice subtle addition on this color car.

Thanks fellas...I agree, it flows beautifully on NBP since it adds texture without clashing with the color.
Honestly, and I don't think I've seen it yet, I'd probably pay NEXSON to paint some OEM visors WDP if I had WDP, I BET that would look amazing!
Anil, already on it...have em on ebay for about what i paid for them (a little more to cover shipping to the next person).

Thanks Dev, I love em...glad others still like a spoked wheel too!
John...not only am I giving you the idea...I'll even tell you this, Brian (Nexson) drives past Acura every day and has a working relationship with them...if you paypal'd him in advance, he'd probably buy them for you at about $140 (rather than $200), you'd pay him to prep and paint them and ship back to you. I don't want to speak for him, but I would BET he'd be willing to do it. That would look AWESOME! I'm pretty sure it would...

Yeah, someone on AZ has an ASM TL with paint-matched OEM visors that looked pretty good (IIRC). Can't remember who that was...

Thanks Fellas...very much.
QUAN...dude, I have been quoted multiple times stating that I would never get window visors, they are a waste of money, look stupid, take away from the aerodynamics of the car etc...
and look at me now...
then I bought the Weathertech ones and loved it...get the OEM, NO FK YOU...never will happen.
and look at me now...
the older I get, the more full of sht I realize I am!
I used picnik to fix these a bit...
the trick, honestly Anil, is to pay more attention to what is framing out your subject than the subject itself...line up sidewalks or a building or a tree or whatever to give the picture's foreground and backround a balance...then, the angle of your subject is next...that determines how sectsy it looks...have you taken a picture and knelt down and taken another standing up and another up high, each one will give you a different effect and feeling...then you take a bunch and pic your favorite, edit it a little...then BAM!
Easy!
Stuff I thought looked cool a year ago, I click past now...even to this day, I rarely am "moved" by my own stuff.

^^^ in all honesty it depends on your driving.....i have the hawk hps pads and they last me 50K up front and 80K in the rear (still going strong) and they stop on a dime....i drive kinda spirited....
i dont cheap out on brakes/engine oil/basically maintenance items....i dont mind cheaping out on rims/aesthetic mods....my 2 cents![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
PS: I was telling Jer to get better pads but he likes these a lot....recently i got AAP (Advance Auto Parts) rotors and pads for my girls lexus to see how good they are

During the week I only drive on the highway, 65 mile round trip. But when i'm not commuting I have some safe fun. The one thing I AM looking foward to is no brake dust, cause these Brembo pads are rediculous.

^^^ hahaha yeah thats what most people want LOL....my pads dust like a bish...but the stopping power compensates for the dust i guess.....plus they dont make any noise (quite as hell)....
well I think Jer can describe the Autozone pads dusting capabilities LOL....but they do have an added advantage of never ever paying for your pads again....

^^ Ya i was thinking about going the autozone way just for that reason, but I opted for the BRAKEMOTIVE. I agree with you on the maintenance, I always use Mobil 1 synthetic with a Mobil 1 filter.

Hey fellas,
Yeah, as usual, Anil is right. It wasn't so much a matter of cheaping out though, I promise you that I've never in 3 years slammed on the brakes and thought "man, I wish the car would have stopped a little better"...these ceramics work just fine (at least for me...I don't autocross etc...and spirited is my driving style!).
MAIN reason is definitely the dusting...the brembo's...I SHIT you not...would leave the aspec wheels black in 1 day of driving to work and back on the highway...1 friggin day! Now, the cmax gold ceramics from autozone...it takes a solid week before the wheels look bad.
my Slow...yeah man...it was NOT worth getting the rotors without pads...I was ADAMANT about saving some money and not getting the pads since I didn't need em...the difference with teh group buy...$200 for our set with pads...$195 without it. LOL...yeah, for 5 bucks I figured I'd get em. I've actually got them posted on ebay right now...trying to get 60 for em.
Since I don't need them, and you do your own maintenance, see if you dig em...if you do, PM me and maybe I'll pull my auction and sell em to you instead (at a discount, of course).![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
J.
PJClean...thanks, brother...keep on checking in, man...I'm ALWAYS up to something!![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I use the FRAM too...it's usually the filter that's included in the package deals at autozone...PLUS, they usually have the dipped end with the rubberized grip.
PS, Anil...figured you'd be proud of me...for my birthday next month...I have a super magnetic oil pan plug on the menu...a mishimoto one. And a shift knob actually.

^^^thanks for the offer but im waiting for my brakes to wear till i put the BRAKEMOTIVEs on. Then Ill se if i like the pads, but until i see if i like them im all set.

Not a problem, man...figured they'd be worth some money in my pocket back and would hook someone else up that will eventually need them.
Ever since I got the autozone ones, I haven't really waited for them to wear out...I change them every 15K miles...usually when I'm doing some other maintenance. Finally figured out where to lube up to keep the brakes quiet!
Anil, heck yeah, money well spent. Yeah, I do FRAM filter and mobil 1 synthetic...honestly...i'm not brand specific though...i stick with the right weight and whatever is on a good sale. Always synthetic though...

Wrote this in another thread...but thought it was good to have in my build thread. Was addressing Sean, or Veggiemonster...
I agree...only difference between you and me, aside from photo touchup skillz, is that the TL is the most powerful car I've owned (and most modded). Every car I get is a step up. I'd have a hard time taking a step back. So, I feel you (in theory, at least).
J.
1988 Ford Taurus Station Wagon
1987 Toyota Corolla SR5 (very fun, carb'd and rwd, wish I still had it)
1991 Civic hatch DX
1997 Accord LX
2002 Nissan Frontier (my, "I'm adult now" purchase...auto and slow...lasted 5 weeks)
2004 EP Civic SI Hatch (LOVE, totaled)
2005 RSX-S in Blaze Orange Metallic (love hate, hurt to lose the EP, RSX clear step up)
04 TL 6MT Aspec (loved it from day one, picked it for my stepdad with intention to buy out his lease...when the time came, wasn't done fkng my previous girl...the RSX...but had to strike while the iron was hot).
Now, I ain't selling ISH...I would miss this car like nobody's business...I have days where I'm like F this car...I want teh RWDZ!!! OR more power...but something else goes along with those desires...usually a +$30k price tag.
So instead, I wash my car...and take pics of her...or put on rotors...
