do it!!!!!!!!

those are like 2.5-3 years old. the red of the calipers is only 6-8 months. so they are still a nice red color. (these 2 are the raw jpg's from my D90)

Sean, that looks really really good, man. I used to be partial to red, but with my NBP, since we have that blue flake I was inclined to go blue. PLUS, the valvestem came blue when I bought the wheels.

The red looks pretty awesome though...and good to know they'll NOT fade!

totally understand what you mean. i'm not sure if i really like the blue of NBP anymore...used to be all about blue as a kid and now it's really 'meh' to me now. i wish we had like the subaru black...love the gold flake in there!

i actually put those wheels on my TL once...wish i could steal them from him

so what's next for the rockstarship? per the flickr comment, i would like to see the orange creep out of the engine bay and into some other places more visible

Yeah, if I were to redo my calipers I'd end up going with either trying to mimick the blue of the lugs OR that copper color. We'll see. For the time being though, I'm afraid of adding too many colors on the outside of the car.

That's ironic, I've NEVER liked blue...till now. So now I'm ok with the blur ring, lugs and valvestem. I love the combo of blue on the black.

Yeah, those wheels are gorgeous man...

I got my rotors last night, so that'll probably be going on tomorrow...and the CCFL mod too. Maybe Sunday. I used to be in a big rush to do mods...now I take my time and space them out. I realize now 1/2 the fun is DOING THEM, not just seeing them done. After that, I'll take some high res pics...I think the rotors with the black wheels/calipers will look amazing.

Your thread is so busy with so much good info it takes time to go through all those pages. BTW really love the way you painted the engine bay areas it look clean and very unique.

whats the CCFL mod? that's a long acronym lol. cold cuts for life? you like sammiches????

actually, he sent me a picture msg last night...i think he curbed them. knowing him, that means he had to avoid an accident and clipped a curb in the process. feelsbadman.jpg

so wait, are you changing the calipers back to black?? or keeping silver?

on colors, i would love to have some teal/green or even white accents on my car. not sure how/where i would do it, but i think it would look nice

FYAH, thank you sir, coming from you is quite a compliment! I love it too.

Sean, TEAL is great...I'm just not that JDM (yo?!). LOL...
Yes sir, I friggin LOVE sammiches so much! I can't believe you guessed it.

CCFL = Cold Cathode Fluorescent Light. Like the license plate lights on the Lexus'. I have LED's but my fiancee's leds are failing and I want to do this mod on hers too. Cost is like $10 for the CCFL kit.

Who curbed the rims?! the guy on flickr that commented?

and get this, I already have ceramic pads warrantied for life from autozone, right?! So I'm going to sell the pads for $60 or more on ebay as a set. Then, my rotors will have cost me about $140. I checked out Adams and loved it but they were $400!

I highly recommend you talk your friend into how bad the damage is and how he should just sell them to you. buy them cheap, add $300 for teal powdercoat.

you're WELCOME.

well no joke a long time ago he and i set up a deal, if i get him 18" rpf1's he'll give me those works. he got them on the same trade, and made $300 cash off the deal from our dumbass rich friend, so he would basically gimme the same deal. get rid of the 255's, get another 1" lower, rock that shit all day. if i were to throw them on it would look like this in front, although these are et15, his are et22/25 all around (and this picture the rears are 18x10's instead of 17x9's)

so it would def need to be wayyyyyyyy lower to pull it off with the tires i have now

It would have to be WAY lower to pull it off period but yeah, that would be great! make it happen!

Swoosh, no, his buddy has some wheels he curbed that he wants and John wanted to know about the upkeep on red lugs.

In addition, I received my rotors and did some research on removal of the dust shield.

J.

Oh, and I'll get some proper pics in the next week or so. But here's a pic with the rear lowered a bit to get it even. Looks perfect IMO.

Hmmm...to be honest, if you look back at some of my previous threads you'll see I was NEVER a window visor fan. EVER. Member on here sold these to me for super cheap (weathertech) and I went for it.

Damn you John...why would you even put the idea in my head. I DO like how they cover the rear quarter too, I will admit.

what's 'a good deal'? under $75?

still looks nicer with the visors i think

swoosh, you'll love that he has an FP-red turbo as well, and the red boostin stickers (his tuner), and the same nice red boost gauge as i had. thing is so mint.

Try $40 shipped and they were new. He test fit them, and was freaked out by the window hitting them on the way up. He didn't know you have to "seat" them for a few days first. If it wasn't for that kick in the pants, I never would have bought them and used to talk cr*p about visors. Now that I have them, I love that I can still crack my windows when it's drizzling out...and think they look good on NBP.

enought to spend ANOTHER 100 bucks to make them extend over my rear quarter...don't think so.

Anil, gracias, amigo.

Do it! Get them from Delray Acura since they're local and use the ACURAZINE promo code to get another 5% off the order.

Ok, I actually get better prices than that at the local acura dealership. Don't know why but my account is set up that way.

Hilarious...my wife says, "supposibly" and "glove department" instead of "glove compartment". The "your vs. you're" and "they're vs. their vs. there" are just a small piece of the pie...

Indeed sir...it's just a habit, I don't hate a nukka or nothin. Was just an overall feeling when dealing with a lot of people in every day life.

J.

PS...
Look what Ebelp started...put the 25MM on the rear of the accord and of course my "I don't care about cars fiancee" immediately asks me: "I need something for the front now, it looks silly." Sure sweetheart...how much you wanna spend? "I don't know...sixty?!?!"

Sure enough, found a seller on ebay selling some ichiba 15MM v1's for $75...made offer for $60 and he accepted! Might see about tackling this tomorrow too if I'm not too tired after rotor swap.

"better" is relative to you...
v1 is where you replace with longer studs and slide the spacer on...some say safer but obvi MUCH More of a PITA to swap out the studs.

v2 is where you bolt the spacer with it's own set of studs onto your oem ones. Easier...Tyler has these all around...I was so paranoid about introducing any vibrations etc to the front that I preferred to go with V1 up front for me (and now my fiancee). Plus, they don't make a V2 in anything smaller than a 15MM spacer.

PS: I see what you did with your sig there

Funny enough, I suggested to another member to put his build threads in his sig, then thought...wow, I hadn't done that!

PS...thank you, I am a little wordy, but I try not to miss any logical steps. About 10 or 15, my suggestion is to first get rolled...no way around that, get it done. THEN, set whatever height you want to be at. THEN, decide if you want to stance or flushness ( ) and whether or not you're going to run a set of camber kits. Get ALL that set and THEN measure how much room you got going. With a +45 or 42 you can pull of the +15 without issue.
