Interesting. Can you measure the distance of visible threads you can see between the bottom gold collar and the one above it? I have barely less than an inch of threads showing.
EDIT: I guess it's sort of irrelevant how many threads you can see. If your springs are so stiff they aren't allowing the shocks to compress as much, then there's the reason for the height difference right there. Just curious, why did you go with those springs? Going with the middle rates (street sports) seems like the best choice for daily-driven vehicles because you can let the damping control your soft/stiffness. If you get the track springs and they're too stiff for you, you're screwed!

^Check the top mounting bolt on both front shocks. Mine have come loose before and started clunking. You need an allen wrench (3mm I believe) and an open-ended 19mm wrench.

I'm not talking about the top plate, I'm talking about the very top bolt. The one that the damping adjustment knob slides into. It's a 19mm hex bolt. You won't have to disassemble anything to access it. Just pop your hood lol.

Hope you get it figured out Anil...nothing sucks more than being disappointed by such a big purchase. Aside from not being as low as you wanted, what are your driving impressions?! Everything you were looking for (this is the setup Tim recommended, right? same feelings?).

I have always wanted to be the kind of guy who troubleshoots problems in a single attempt and even thow I have seen a little success in that matter, you blow me away !!!
I went home for lunch and tightened all 4 corners with a 19mm wrench and no more clunking....i think its cool to say over here, i love you mangggg !!!

^Uh yeah about that plate frame....I have a seized plate bolt that I can't remove, which is the only reason I've kept the Crest frame on there so long. I want a chrome Type-S frame :/
No problem, Anil...it helps that I've already been through the same situation!

John, remove the trunk liner and then the 4 bolts holding the black license plate area to the trunk...I'm ALMOST positive that that whole piece comes off with plate on...then you can just drill it out from behind with a small bit, then work your way bigger, I bet once the inside is drilled out, it'll lose some of the tension that is holding it in place and will come out without even screwing up the threading.
J.
And Team Squat all the way...the front/rear are even...look at the bottom of the car.
John, you're a lot more critical of your own work, trust me, to us mortals...it's perfection.
and to access the rear adjustable knobs...won't take you more than 10 minutes...take rear seat out, lift up the back portion off the upper bolts and you can just reach in and make adjustments without taking out the entire thing.

I'll try to get at the plate bolts from the back like you mentioned, thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the updated title and compliment, Steven!
Very tempting!!
