Another iPhone pic from this morning:
Got the new narrower tires for the front to help with the rubbing:
Hopefully, with these tires, I can put the spacers back on the front and still be clear of the fenders. We'll see. I need to pull the trigger on the Skunk2 camber kit and then get it aligned again so I can dial in some negative camber.
Other projects going on right now...adding an addition to the house.
Should be done in a few weeks.

Whoa, awesome addition to the house. How many square feet is being added?
You know, you can just send me some of your extra money if you want

Thanks! It's actually only adding like 500sq/ft, but that doesn't include the new attic space we'll have. We're in dire need of more storage space, so this modest addition will remedy all of that and make the existing areas of the house seem larger because we'll be able to unclutter everything!

John....both the ongoing projects are looking awesome....
The addition to the house is a good mod....gives you more space that you need....
And the car looks fantastic !!! When you ride that low ALL your attention has to be on the road....take your eyes of for a second and pothole....fuuuuuuuu !!!!
What do you have your coilovers set to? how is the ride ?

Thanks Anil. Yes, I'm constantly surveying the road ahead when I'm driving so I can dodge potholes. I do that normally though, I'm just a little more OCD about it now. I have the coilovers set about 15 clicks from full soft and the ride is fantastic. I would like to add that I am not running my OEM strut bar and IMO the ride is noticeably more forgiving with that "tension" relieved. The car still handles wonderfully, so I have no plans to put it back on. I'll probably end up getting an RV6 bar eventually.
My only gripe is that it's so low that I get UCA clunk when I hit moderate dips/bumps/etc. The clunking will happen with any coilovers though...it doesn't have anything to do with ISC specifically.

^^^ yes I get that clunk with my Tein Basics and wanted to see if the ISC will get rid of that

The only way coilovers can get rid of the clunk is by raising the car back up. There's nothing else coilovers can do...they only go up and down lol. Supposedly the Skunk2 camber kit gives you more UCA clearance which can cure the problem, but I need to verify that for sure. Not going to drop $300 on the Skunk2 kit if it won't fit the clunk.

Nice iPhone pic, but that road makes me cringe just looking at it and I don't even have to drive on it, lol. I can only imagine what the rest of the ride looks like on your way to work.

It's really not that bad, the roads here are usually shitty after the winter, but they patch them up pretty good. I'm on the same roads every day, so I know where all the threatening areas are and I can avoid them. I really have very little rubbing/scraping...my main issue is the occasional clunking.

Get the Skunk2 kit, Anil...I know you be clunkin!
I asked this in the slammed thread, but no one replied: Before I installed the Skunk2 kit, my front camber was about -1.5 to -2.0, according to the spec sheet the alignment shop gave me. Supposedly the Skunk2 kit only goes to -1.5 to -2.0. Does that mean that my camber can/will be no different with the Skunk2 kit installed, or will the camber of Skunk2 kit be added to my existing camber (-3.0 to -4.0 degrees)? Hope that made sense...

^^^ well from what i know....the ingalls can range (read correct) between -1.5 and +1.5.....its depends on how much you are dropped but just to give an idea....
and the skunk2 will go between -2.5 and +2.5
I wanted to run a -2.5 upfront and -2 in the rear but ended up being -1.5 upfront and -2 in the rear....

and I took your other recommendation (and Sean, obvi) to get the 50MM 1.8 Canon lense...
Stepping our games up!
Anil, if you flip the balljoint around the other way (like the way it goes in when you press it into place) my understanding is that you can add a lot more than 1.5 negative camber.
John...wow...hadn't seen the house update...your car is just gorgeous.

USR Switchback Sidemarker Mod:
Wiring these up was a cinch, although it is much different for Type-S TL's compared to the base models. I tried to go by Anil's youtube vids, but they do not apply to the Type-S at all.
Front side markers:
-Base TL - You tap into the middle turn signal harness wire on both sides according to Anil.
-Type-S - On the passenger side you tap into the white wire, and on the driver's side, you tap into the red wire with the blue stripe...neither of which are in the middle.
Rear side markers:
-Base TL - According to Anil, you tap into the red wire for the switchback indicator to work.
-Type-S - On the passenger side, you tap into the white wire. On the driver's side, you tap into the red wire.
IN ADDITION, for you Type-S drivers, the rear side marker harnesses do not fit the USR harness connector out of the box. You have to put your Dremeling skills to work.
Comparison (USR switchback on top, OEM Type-S below):
Modified USR harness connector:
(in the vid the rears look a little amber'ish when they blink, but they're red...it's just my iPhone playing tricks)
Now...I have a bone to pick with Anil because these new switchback side markers were supposed to be 6k white as compared to the 5k white of the previous non-switchback versions. Many of us have LED switchback for our front turn signals that only come in 6k white, so it was very important for me (and others) that these new side markers be 6k white so everything would match. Unfortunately, these new side markers are NOT 6k white as promised. They are the exact same 5k white as the previous version. This is fine for most people, and it's not a huge difference, but it is definitely noticeably different compared to our 6k front turn signals (photos don't show the difference, it's more obvious to the naked eye). The main reason I bought these new switchback side markers was because we were told they would be 6k white, so I'm pretty disappointed that they aren't.
