Updates...
So I made it back on Saturday, just in time for Mother's Day and some quality time with the family. I lurked on AZ while I was overseas which helped contribute to killing my international roaming package I signed up for. Anyway, saw some nice cars in Thailand that I want to share...first some food pics:
Snow beer:
Lotus root:
Donkey meat sandwich (it was good):
Shot out of the window at the airport in Hong Kong, awaiting my flight to Bangkok. I liked how the clouds were creeping over the mountains...
My buddy in Bangkok picks me up at the airport in his brand new E250 coupe with the AMG package. All the other white people took overpriced taxis from the airport to the city....haha
Ever seen a real Toyota Aristo? (note the FMIC):
R32 Skyline collecting dust:
Civic...Type R??
That's it for now....glad to be home and looking forward to start modding the TL again.

Thanks guys, I missed you too. I really tried to make time to go to the Lebua State Tower in Bangkok where the filmed the rooftop restaurant scenes in the Hangover 2, but it would've been a nightmare to get to with the insane traffic there. The Intercontinental hotel in Bangkok has breathtaking views on its rooftop and it is probably half the size of the Lebua tower, so I can't imagine what it would be like...here's a view from the Intercontinental where I used to stay:
Chillen...
Jeremy, I totally agree. It's completely normal to see modded out Skylines and Supras on the road there. All those crazy cars are usually imported from Japan. From what I understand, to avoid all the luxury taxes, they'll import the entire cars, but in separate chunks...they'll actually separate the front clip/motor from the rest of the body and then reassemble it once it's in the country to save a shit ton of money.
Check out this clip from Friday afternoon in downtown Bangkok:
Pretty normal, right?

Minor updates....got a new floor jack. Love this thing. It's long and flat (only 2-5/8"). It also has a foot pedal, a t-bar style arm and a release knob (instead of having to twist the arm). I've been using a prehistoric BFG floor jack, so this Pittsburgh jack is a huge upgrade for me.
Also, dropped the front another 1/2" so it's even with the rear. I also removed the air deflector underneath for obvious reasons.
The good: the car is slammed and is exactly where I want it.
The bad: The tire rub in the front is horrendous. Before it would only rub if the wheels were turned going over bumps, but now it'll rub if I turn the wheels on FLAT ground. Ugh. I'm going to take off the 15mm spacers for the time being and I just ordered a pair of 215/40/18's (currently running 225's). Hopefully I'll be able to run the spacers with the 215's and not have too much rubbing. If it still rubs bad with the 215's I'll have to go to a 10mm spacer I guess. We'll see.

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU I'm getting 18x9. They're being made now. Probably not going to be as low as you though. And I'm assuming fenders are rolled, yes? I can't remember...sorry...

np, the rears are rolled, the fronts aren't....there's really not much you can roll on the fronts. You just need to cut off that inner tab, but I haven't done that yet....should probably do that soon.

+1 on the jack, might need one if I can't fit one under mine once it's lowered.

The jack is amazing. It was only $129 from harbor freight.

^Anil...forgot to show you. My last night in Bangkok my buddy took me to this road with a bunch of street vendors, and this one was locally famous for its chicken rice. It was so damn good...
