Chicago has direct flights to Shanghai and Beijing daily. Rates are pretty reasonable...you can get a round-trip ticket for less than your JNR ECU.

it will be insane flying there:

Kansas City - Dallas - LA - Hong Kong - Jakarta

the Manila, Philippines was better:

Kansas City - Dallas - Tokyo - Manila
Yeah, a coworker of mine has flown from NY to Indonesia before and it was the same 3-stop process. I think his total one-way travel time was like 28 hours or something ridiculous. Enjoy the Hong Kong airport though, great food there, and lots of swanky places to shop.

Just for you, Sean. Here are some of my previous veggie experiences:

Chinese broccoli w/ beef and noodles (HK style):

"Chinese spinach":

Eggplant & peppers (bowl of fried snails in the background):

Leeks and baby shrimp:

Tasty fried beans:

Typical Chinese salad:

Endless veggies (typical setup in nice restaurants in China so you can pick and choose whatever dish you want, this particular one was in Shaoxing, China...great city):

The Bacpac is pretty wicked. So much nicer having live-view. It comes with 4 different back doors to accommodate itself (a waterproof and nonwaterproof case for normal orientation and inverted orientation). My only gripe is that you can't use the LCD screen to change settings/modes. You can only use it for live-viewing of what you're about to record, and for playback of existing videos and pics on the SD card. It's not a huge problem, but I find that changing settings/modes is a bit cumbersome.

how much did it run you? if you don't mind me asking.

also, did we ever figure out if that extension arm needed that top plate adapter with it?

The Bacpac was like $79 on Amazon. The bar mount was $16. I also got the tripod adapter. You can't attach the GoPro to a tripod/monopod/extension arm without it.

Thanks guys! Still got a long way to go, but I like where she sits now.

Next on the list:
-roll the fenders (ASAP)
-drop the rear 1/2"
-throw the 15mm spacer on the rear
-replace 3/4th pressure switches + Redline 3x3
-clay bar & wax!

I experience the occasional tranny "shudder" and I feel like it could shift a little quicker/smoother. Hopefully the switches + fresh ATF will remedy the problem.

Nice! I've yet to begin thinking about audio upgrades. I'm sure it'll come eventually. By this Saturday, I'll be in south FL hopefully doing a photoshoot of Jeremy's TL.

Ugh, don't remind me. I would take it off but one of the screws is completely seized and I can't get it out. I don't want to use an impact screwdriver on it bc I'm afraid I'll crack the plastic behind the plate. My attempts at using my screw extractor drill bits have failed as well. Grrr...

Great pics, John...
Why not use a dremel and cut AROUND the bolts (cut the plastic plate off!)...that would also give you a little room behind your seized bolt to spray some penetrating liquid to bolt it tighter to break away the rust.

You don't think I'm low enough already??

also read this thread before you do the redline ATF flush:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=834299
That thread just gave me a headache...I actually have a case of the Redline D4 that I was going to flush with (not the Racing ATF).

I think that's a perfect drop. I dont know the road conditions at your neck of the woods but here in Cuse any lower will have a problem driving.
