UGH! NO! It feels like an eternity! I've had my rims and tires sitting around for like 4 months waiting for these. They were supposed to be in at the end of March, early April lastest and now it's almost May. If they weren't such a good group buy price, I would be asking for a discount for having it take so much longer than expected. Though it would be nice if they did that anyway.

that's why I have my card full of old ones. Especially since you can touch up a shot, reframe it only slightly, and get a totally different feel, 'old eye' shot, with 'new eye' style.

That sucks! I checked the GB thread a little while ago and Josh said he was expecting to have them earlier this week. Oh well, I'm sure he's doing all he can. I know what it's like to work with ocean lines and customs and it can be a nightmare.

I was talking more about dealing with the paperwork to get stuff through customs and also having to deal with delays and other BS from the ocean lines. They're ruthless.

I have the first aluminum unibody Macbook (13") that came out a few years ago. Still runs strong. Looks exactly like the current 13" Macbook Pros.

Yeah, I keep waiting for them to announce something significantly new to their MBP lineup. It's not like Apple to keep things unchanged for this long hehe.

Yeah, I heard that too, although I do use my optical drive from time to time. I also heard a rumor that they might integrate 4G into their future laptops. It's an interesting rumor, but unless Verizon and AT&T start offering unlimited 4G plans, there's no way I'd subscribe to that service.

13" is a great size for traveling IMO. If you're doing a lot of editing or multitasking, you may want more real estate, in which case you can just use an external monitor of your choice.

I have a 13" also, it's a little smaller than my old Dell (15") but the 15" MB was like a huge jump in price. Right now they offer 13, 15, 17. 15 would be a pretty happy medium I think.

^Agreed. My iPad is a great companion on airplanes. I send a shit ton of emails when I travel, so I gotta have the laptop. Speaking of travel, I'm heading overseas tomorrow morning (5:40am flight), so I'll be off the grid for a little while. I can access AZ when I'm in China, but it's ridiculously slow. I'll try to keep this "chat room" alive while I'm away hehe....

On a funnier note, I'm bringing my Jeremy Lin jersey to China. Can't wait to wear it and see what kind of looks I get since I tower above everyone there. I may buy a basketball to walk around with too.
