Update:
Ok I was all set to tune last night when the shop noticed the brand new Zex plugs were fouled and needed to be replaced. The new plugs have been ordered and will be here tomorrow. I am going with Ngk 8's since they are easier to get. My plugs got fouled by the RDX injectors being run with the stock ecu pig rich.
I thing we should be able to get up a running tomorrow at which point I will post another update.
This being the first to run this kit thing sounded better in my head than it is turning out to be. All these ups and downs are killing me, one minute I am excited about the prospect of running this bad boy and the next I am questioning why I am doing this. I had a supercharger on the car prior to this install that was running great. Thank god my wife is cool, because the getting a tune up excuse didn't work for a month. I had to come clean, just not with the cost of anything.

If you are refering to the Corrola I rented, it's alittle slower than I'd like. The car is still in the shop so no driving it yet. I have been dealing with all the issues so it hasn't been ready to drive. I did go see it on Friday and it's impressive to say the least. I had a exhaust cut out installed and the guy started it and then opened the cut out, wow the sound is wild. Sitting there at idel the car sounds stock, but open up the cut out and you can hear this is no stock TL. We couldn't go into boost because the Fic was not installed. Let's hope tomorrow is the day, because I badly need something with more power.
I spent the whole day yesterday listening to how I should have left that " stupid jap car alone" and bought the 4.6 litter DOHC Ford engine for the Mustang.

So that means no RDX injectors with the stock ECU?
I'm going to have to see if the ONLY dyno in this area will do my inspection. They don't sniff tailpipes here but I don't know about physical inspection for the cats.
I was considering using adapters so that swapping injectors would be easier. Depending on the first inspection, I might look into them or build them myself.

But i definitely understand about stoich. In my N/A motor with stock inectors, above 5800rpm (all the way to redline) AFR goes to 11 flat which is quite rich . I could probably get a bit more power out of the top end with an FIC and a tune.

I would go this route, but from what I heard and seen is on a TypeS you don't get that much power because of the high compression...Unless there is a tune out there for the supercharger on a TL-S...I think last thread I seen was a TL-S making extra 50whp or so...

14.7 is stoich but really the engine will go slightly leaner under low load and much richer under heavy load. 14.7 ensures the emissions (combined) will be at their lowest.

It will eventually but will throw codes, once the fuel trims hit 17% eaither direction in the ECU it will code for "stuck lean" oir "stuck rich". I must say thou I have never seen 7 AFR with the RDX injectors on the stock ECU, usually 12AFR during cold open loop startup but not 7. Generally when I do install them with the FIC I will just start out with setting all cells to pull 25% and then start tweaking from there.

Very good info on the +-17% required to set a code.

I have been driving the car around for a few days now and am impressed with the change. I have never driven a turbo car before, so it's a change in power band and overall power. I was running the supercharger before so I am use to the car having the extra power, but it seems hard to get into full boost without hitting other motorists. I am running a little less HP and a little more TQ on this tune than I was with the blower, since I havent perfected my tune. The TQ comes in a lot lower in the rpm range and the power seems more smooth.
As far as the sound it is quieter than the supercharger, but still very altered sounding when at idle or driving easy (out of boost), under boost is a whole different story. Now I have and exhaust cut out and that changes things quite a bit interms of sound, now we are talking race car. Even at Idle the car is loud, start getting on it and everyone in a 3 block raduis knows your comming. I have opened it twice. Once to see how it improved spool on the freeway and again to scare a new M3 in traffic. The blow off valve is what gets most peoples attention.
Lastly I changed out the clutch to a 8 puck P2R clutch with the stock PP and flywheel and did the clutch slave mod to help speed up the shifts and hold the extra power. There is some chatter when you first get going and trying to inch along in traffic but, the engaugment is more solid and with practice I can avoid the shutter.
Here are some pics I took. I didn't take too many durring the install.
My oil cooler that I will be installing shortly.
