the first 2 data logging i sent you was when i was driving, log 1 might of been cold but log 2 she warmed up. but i just sent you a log from cold and just idle

This is as basic as you can get. Throttle Position (TP), MAP, RPM and Coolant Temp (CLT).
I wanted to see if the TP was fluctuating during his unstable idle and if he is logging while it is running unassisted or needs to blip the throttle to keep it running. Also wanted to see if the MS3 was seeing the readings from the coolant sensor, which it is.
Since the MS3 does not control the DBW at all, then the TP motion is either caused by noise or someone stepping on the pedal.
It's really hard to diagnose this remotely without knowing for sure what is going on.
His idle looked pretty good in the latest log he sent me. You can see the coolant temp going up an then take a dip which I assume is the fan kicking in. The green indicators means that conditions to be out of warmup enrichment have been met (coolant temp above a specified setpoint).

is there anyone else with an N/A build who can post their logs? most likely everyone with an N/A build should have relatively the same calibration/specs.. either way when/if you post then put your mods down
Joey, what does SC DELETE stand for in rou signature? Second Cat Delete? I ask because you have RV6 V3 Jpipe after that.. wasnt sure if they were the same or not

He's running with a tune modified by someone. He is going to reload the original tune and do some logging and we'll go from there.
Rodney seems to be MIA right now, I am hoping there isn't complications with the family. So for now, I will try to at least get the data in line for him or his tuner to look at. In the end, this may help all of you.

i guess both of us caught him today !!!
he is taking his daughter home today !!!
also i told him to ship out everything that he has and just send out the harness when he gets em.....seems like even AEM is out of them
btw Gary and Ryan....your ECU's should be out this week....

^it's running fine from what i can tell w/out monitoring AFR or knock.
sometimes has a slightly delayed start up (cranking) but then again, i do leave it parked for a week at a time without driving it. overall it is good tho.
burns through gas like crazy however, so thats why i'm anxious to install the AFR gauge and knock to dial everything in appropriately.

your shit with everyone elses shit will go out this week (what I heard from Rodney)....the only thing he is waiting on is the harness which KN was helping Rodney to find....its in backorder everywhere....so you will get everything else that you ordered and the harness will be mailed to you as soon as rodney receives them.....
you should get it.....but you should wait 2-3 weeks before you order....Rodney is trying to clear up all the orders and then take new orders.....

These cars out of the factory balance gas mileage with performance and put it somewhere in the middle.
You can't expect performance increases and the habit of getting on it because it's so fun to result in anything other than lowered MPG.

^yeah but i'm saying even when i grandma drive...i still kill fuel much faster than i did before the ECU was installed.
so i'm thinking my AFR is out of wack.

we just rode around and did some WOT runs to check the numbers and they all looked OKAY to him at the time. but after i install the AFR gauge/knock sensor i'm going to go back out with him and do many more runs to make sure it's all right.

Tunerstudio !!!
yeah livetune, tunes the car as you drive once you specify the conditions....and Rodney was telling me it does a pretty damn good job....
PS: all this info is what i have heard from Rodney....since i dont have my ECU yet, i dont have any hands on experience with either Tunerstudio or Livetune and i bet KN/Andy/Rodney can explain this further.....

You can play with to fine tune are timing and fuel curves. Stock ecu controls DBW and maps which are fixed with the MS3. Also you can calibrate tps/thermistate temp etc. My tuner told me this

he didnt go with the livetune before as he didnt have the AFR unit....now that he does he might/will be able to go with it....the thing is he will have to wire the AFR unit to the MS3.....

well there are 2 methods:
1> just monitor your AFR....in this way you do not have to run any wire to the MS3....since you are running a static map....
2> interface the wideband controller with the MS3....in tunerstudio you have an option for turning livetune ON and when would you like livetune to tune your car (over certain rmps/over certain coolant temps/etc)....i believe livetune is 50 bucks....
so you can do it either way....if you are running a static map then i wudnt worry about running the wideband controller wire to MS3, just run it to the gauge and call it a day

^yeah i guess i could just do option#1. good point. seems easier and would suit my needs. i mean, it'll give an accurate AFR reading so why not?
but what do you mean about static map?

dynamic means something that changes over time....so if you wire the wideband controller to the MS3 and have livetune ON....your maps will change over time depending on how you are driving (sprited/grandma/aggressive).....this version is good coz if you are driving like a grandma, you wont be running so rich....will be running a little leaner so will get a little more gas mileage
in the dynamic map you will have to wire the wideband controller to the MS3 so it can tune according to your AFR and hence Option 2 that I mentioned....
hey man....dont kill the messenger....i just keep updating the thread with what I hear from Rodney....if you dont like it, will stop giving out updates and you can contact Rodney with all your questions
am not making a dollar out of this deal and seems like i have a ton to worry about !!!

^hmm maybe i will wire to MS3. that seems like i'd have more control over everything. and i'm sure it can't be hard to wire it to MS3.
thanks, anil. we'll figure it out when the time comes....

It just occurred to me that many of if not all of us are running on maps that are auto generated by TunerStudio. That's why there's numbers in the 16's on my map.
I also ASSUME, haven't found anything yet but the maps are based on MAP vs RPM which is data available to both those with Wideband and not. The ECU must calculate the amount of injector pulse/duty is required to achieve that target.
I am still also not 100% certain where the setting is to allow the wideband to use that feedback. I was told even those with the wideband installed aren't using it. (from Rodney).
Livetune is only going to fine tune based on the map. So if your target is 12, then it's going to just fine tune the crappy gas mileage.
EDIT: I almost forgot to mention. Based on what I just said, there are entries for engine size and injector size. Now that I've said what I did, those values are extremely important. Light bulbs and bells are going off in my head now.
EDIT2:
I just looked at my original tune and I am really confused why things are the way they are.
Under the fuel tab, there is EGO/AFR control. That's where you enable the wideband. For whatever reason, between Disabled, Narrow and Wideband, mine is set to Narrow.
Under Tools, there is a place to cal the MAP sensor. That is just so it's accurate.
I am going to ASSUME that fixed map people should have the EGO/AFR control set to disabled. I checked the manual and it doesn't really say what Disabled does with regard to fuel delivery calculations. Must be somewhere else.

Like I said he's ^^^^ the man. If you want to let tunerstudio to tune for you it's going to cost $60 for registered version.
I'm engine size say 2 liter in tunerstudio. Lol

My AFR is 10.20 but it's really not. I don't have wideband so tunerstudio isn't given me proper reading. Not happy with my tuner he hasn't emailed me my dyno chart.
