Jay's, yea it's pretty clean. I saw it in person.

You know I actually thought about an F100. I've seen some nice ones as well, of course on TV though. Of course I catch myself watching that show that's based in Dallas and they give me some ideas.

I was seriously contemplating buying this unibody '62 F100. Just gorgeous.

Wait, is there another purple TL? I know for a fact Jay's wasn't trashy.

NVM, I see which TL you are talking about. That's not Jay's and the quality is no where near Jays.

Damn, that's not bad! He probably spent close to that. Full restomod isn't cheap.

Yeah that's completely insane, definitely stretching the envelope of "street legal".

The big bad nova in the video got a cracked block, not sure if it died at some point.

We're not talking about the same car, i believe. I was talking about the 06-07 Subaru Legacy GT spec B. I'm pretty sure it only came in sedan form.

I hate how the dash looks. Too much of that plastic silver shit. It looks much cheaper than it does in this photo. Also, exterior styling isn't bad, but nothing crazy either. I also preferred the TL 6MT over the subaru 5MT these came with.

I like the Spec B. Friend has one modded as well as an STI. I would buy one, but it's really just a Legacy.

Oh yeah, not the same car indeed. I looked at these too instead of the TL, said no. Don't think I could relive the old days with the newer Legacy.

For what it's worth I still think it's a WRX for older people

Also, what intake are you running? If it's the stock box, remove all the plumbing. You might have a fucking towel up there for all you know. New PCV, clean out EGR valve (don't 'delete' it), replace APP sensor, new Tstat. There are also two mods that do wonders.. first is removing lower air dams to let more air in, then cutting up the cowl to let the hot air out.

If you haven't done the TB coolant bypass, do eeet. That's a biggie. Fucking Tstat gets hot AF, especially if you're running a 200F Tstat. It's sole purpose is to keep your fucking TB from freezing up, which is only a concern if you live in the Tundra

Oh.. the biggest fucking reason why the J is a dog.. Timing.. you should be filling her with fucking sunoco, but at least 93 top tier petro. Look at those retarded octane threads.. it pulls timing on 93! That being said, I forgot what miles you have on her, but if you did 105k already, make sure everything is in-spec, including valves.

I'm running stock intake but its free and clear. Have checked it many times. Haven't looked at the Tstat yet, but its a possibility (obviously). Coolant bypass is already done.

I'm not going to cut up my cowl, and I already have the lower air dams removed. I've done everything suggested outside of the thermostat.

The problem with all of this is that I came from the J30a4 with a decked head running the same compression as these motors and I never had a SINGLE issue with it. That thing was straight power, all the time. Roll race machine.

And btw, the Subaru Legacy GT Spec B had the STI 6 speed trans in it, which made it more fun.

Also, when was the last valve adjustment?

APP sensor is like three months old. First thing I changed. I've actually changed it twice.

Last valve adjustment was last summer, and that was at 120k miles. Some needed some adjustment but most were well within their tolerance.

Yes, with the WRX engine and drivetrain. Sleeper, right out of the box!

Thing is, like most subarus, the ones for sale have been driven like a rented mule.

Tstat.. get a 160F one.. check the orientation before install. Sometimes the gasket is turned around. Easy and cheap. Might save you from driving a shitty TSXagon.

I mean seriously..

Yup, to hell and back. That's why the Legacy was good cause you know it's rarer so people tend to baby it. All the rex I see are falling apart.

which car are you talking about? Newer WRX? Legacy? older ones?

Subby have never been about the look. The interior is bland and boring, the outside not much better, but they're good machines.
