J, have you used that mount yet? I'm wondering would I be able to mount it on the inside of the windshield and still angle it properly.

I haven't...but he also sells an extension for it that adds 2" and allows you to position it any which way.
I'd plan to run it on the inside.

I mainly bought it because it was a sturdy threaded metal based camera mount for $18. I'd more likely use it on my 7 year old canon point and shoot (IIRC, it has the same threaded base).

I think it looks like a decent quality mount. I will probably use it for a little bit with my dSLR then buy a gopro threaded 1/4" attachment of sorts to use that on the outside?


and yeah J, 1/4" threaded screwed are pretty standard for Point and Shoot, dSLRs.

If that's the case, this is probably overkill...it's a serious suction mount...you press the center thing down, which took a lot of force, then lock it down. It even specifies on his site because he has light duty one too...
