p.s. hey mods, think its time to break this thread up since its starting to get difficult to keep track of... i.e. performance/electronics/styling/updates
plus, its bout 2 break 100 pages

Yeah, well.........it would only be about 50 pages if you llamas would keep on topic and quit drifting off into discussions about other cars.
It's too complicated to sort into different aspects of the 2007.... and too time consuming.
There are a lot of people checking into this thread on a daily basis for breaking news. So, if you drift off-topic, expect your post to be gone. If you do it too many times...... you're going to get a nasty-gram from a mod.

Take it for what it's worth.

9/1 Still the 07 TL Release Date?
We're still on for Friday right? Acura is still considering 9/1 the "official release" of the new TL. I'm guessing by Friday we'll see some kind of media splash and perhaps may even be able to 'build your own' on the acura site.

I like being a conspiracy theorist...
I say that Acura did a smart thing and leaked out the info and pics and are seeing what people's reactions are so that they can make changes prior to the "official" release. We'll know for sure that this is their tool if they don't sell the TypeS with those rims that nobody really likes.
Good move Acura...
I remember meeting a guy named Mike at the first Acura meet at the Block in Orange. He was pretty cool. I lost his card but I think he frequents this site. Mike, if you see this, I hope you've been passing the info on to your TL team and making some suggestions. PM me if you want anymore info if I can help.

This thread is crazy long. Half of it with no info and most only on the Type-S.
The Type-S with it's red dials and dark wheels? No way. And I don't care for the tailights having the clear bars in it in either model.
I'm so glad we didn't wait for the '07 and grabbed an '06. I thought the '07 would offer more changes/features.

The NEW G35 with RWD (as usual) and 306hp will kick the shit out of it with excellent automatic yet finally improved interior, but TL-S should be good enough for those who care about just get from point A to point B in a nice package of course and hope THAT 5AT will be solid and won't have any issues (as seen in 2nd gen.)
But personally, new G35 here I come with with EXCELLENT aftermarket and REAL POTENTIAL besides anything else.

To really get the 60' down there are A LOT of things NEED TO BE corrected and INVESTED on FWD. That's why RWD vehicles just take off and GONE .

September 1st is just around the corner and with that comes the lifting of quite a few pieces of embargoed information. Here's what you'll see here at the TOV in just a couple of days:
All-New 2007 Acura MDX
All-New 2007 Acura RDX
All-New 2007 Honda CR-V
MMC 2007 Acura TL
First-ever Civic Si Sedan
New Honda Element SC
For each of these models, expect to see full technical, feature, and specification details. Of course we'll have lots of photos as well.
Also, since we've already driven each of these new models, you'll be able to read the TOV's driving impressions our take on how they stack-up against previous iterations and the competition.
So mark your calendars and take the day off from work, because Sept. 1 is going to be a big day here at TOV!
Note that not all driving impressions will be available on Sept. 1st. It may take a few days for us to get them all posted.

interestingly acura does it again ,in releasing a sportier model near/at the end of a model cycle instead of upfront...my prediction is that sales of the top model are dissappointing like what happened with the '03 CL type S coming out with there 6mt. acura not realizing that some of those sluggish sales were because people that wanted a manny already bought autos because they couldnt or wouldnt wait to see if acura would realse what they wanted from day one ,and when acura finally realsed it they were already stuck with what they had...same thing may happen here

It would be extremely hard for me to believe that they forgot to mention that the new TL has SH-AWD.

Definitely a possible scenario, but unfortunately, still unlikely. It would really be cool to be at the official release if that did happen.

Then several news sources "unexpectedly" leak what seems to be all the information on the '07 TL and TL-S, leading everyone to believe that's all there is to hear about them. Then, BOOM, Honda comes out on Sept 1st and says, "Oh yeah, the TL can now be had with SH-AWD." Everyone hearing the news has small orgasms on the spot, and all is right in the automtive world.
