you should also notice one on the gas pedal also, but futher up though, and not quite as big, but the exact same function, to dampen out any sort of vibrations (remember this is a "luxary" car afterall, so any sort of vibrations from the factory are bad in the manufactures mind)

i kept the TL gas pedal. didn't see a need to change it, i do have the CL's gas pedal though

Awesome man...wish I could have made it over to see your work in progress. Just couldn't find the time this weekend. Id love to see the finished product though and pick your brain a little. I have a sneaking suspicion with just over 145,000 on my factory trans (it is acting a little sketchy..) its going to be swap time soon.

haha nice. well my family/girlfriend is all in louisville, i'm only in richmond for eku.
hopefully you have a garage, i've been doing this in my driveway out in the weather and it's been KILLING me.
i'll have no problem helping you out. since you have type s already (i think) all you'd need is just the tranny and few other things, makes it easier and cheaper (and more fun
)

the week days are shorter now because i'm working during the day
day 5
it's been a very progressive day. since i have had others to tell me to take out the steering dampeners, it has given me ample room to run my shifter cables. i rigged them up and hooked it all up to the shifter. now i can shift into gears :w00t:
i know i need an upper radiator hose, the other one was dry rotted and i'm going to buy a new one.
then i decided to test fit the turbo components on the car. i know i'm going to have a hell of a time installing the downpipe, but i'll get there.
i also found the o ring that goes to the sandwich adapter. lord knows what would happen if i ran the car without that.

tough day. i had to pull the engine a little bit to get the downpipe in. everything is now in and torqued minus the intercooler. and the clutch lines need to be bled. tried starting the car, nothing. when the battery is connected, the srs light and maint req'd light stay on, but when i try to crank the engine over, nothing. i know i have the connections to the starter there, the relay box is all connected. nothing. guys?

then the next place to start looking, would be do you have all the grounds hooked up, especially between the engine/tranny and the chassis

i know i left the car in park when i removed the A/T although there is no draw on the battery when attempting to crank. no CEL's at all. i even made you guys a video
![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h299/fenderi/th_DSCF3735.jpg)
the ventilation turns on as soon as i try and crank the key, you'll see me try to turn it off.

grabbed a new grounding strap and installed that.
![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h299/fenderi/DSCF3736.jpg)
i even tried jumpstarting it with the car behind me. no dice

but yeah did not even think about mentioning the park/neutral switch
![Tomato](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tomato.gif)
next thing might be is to hook the positive straight to the starter, and bypass the solenoid completely, you might have a bad starter

aee that gold nut below where you connect the cable normally, there should be a wire going to that from the solenoid itself, so basically just connect the jumper cable there, and not really trying to start it or any thing, more just to make sure it will spin over

i'll have to try that tomorrow
i even tried switching out the ECU and nothing
what's odd is as soon as i turn the key in the ignition, the ventilation turns on and even when i take the key out of the ignition, it stays on until i disconnect the battery. come to think of it, all the windows and sunroof and everything work without the need for the key.
i haven't cut any wires, i plugged in everything that needed to be plugged (besides the tranny plugs). i'm such an electrical n00b

but now as far as the hvac still working with the key out, something is screwed up there, it should turn off immediately with turning off the key
maybe doable check the ignition switch harness (it's the brown connector coming out of the driver side fuse box, when you look up underneath the dash; it has like 6 or 7 or so heavier gauge wires coming out of it, i think about 10 gauge sized wire), might have been damaged when you installed the clutch pedal, it runs in pretty close proximity to that area (also it might have happened when you removed the e-brake pedal)

didn't have a chance today really, my mom and step dad came in town today to surprise me and couldn't really troubleshoot more. school starts tomorrow, i'll see about either taking it up to the honda dealer or another shop to have them work with the wiring.

sorry no updates lately guys. i started fall semester yesterday and i am totally overwhelmed with classes. so the car is at evans autocare (i know the guys up there) they are going to finish working on the odds and ends i have left, and then i take it to the tuner.
once it's up and ready i'll see if i can get with ndub and get a photo/video shoot of the final product.
