hate that look , rather actually have more tire on the ground, so i can swerve if needed ; let alone not wanting to spend a fortune in tires either (part of the reason i went with high quality all season tires instead of summer tires, and even i have already driven about 1/4 of the rated tread life (40k)(since i have already rotated them once, and they need to be rotated again already, i do it with my 5k oil changes [and i put them on about 2k or so before that first oil change with them]; synthetic oil btw) already since like march/april, and the summer is not even over yet , just getting to the peak of summer here (100+ degree days)

btw i don't know how i actually have driven that many miles, when i don't even drive for work (all pleasure)(and only like 38 miles roundtrip to work)

, but yeah mine are actually quite flush already with the 45 offset and those 245's on there
when you actually look from the back for the rears, you can actually see like 3/4's of the tires before it actually goes behind the bumper (and that is with a tire friendly camber of only like -0.6)

and if i rolled the quarters more, i probably could put on like a 10mm spacer if i wanted to (maybe even 15 idk, depends on the roll though)(easily a 5mm though)

so i got another email from delray saying that the part is on backorder for another week, meaning i won't be getting the shipment until the 14th.

it's part number 21. now this is silly, i'm sure i can figure out a way to rig up holding the clutch master cyl reservoir. but i've called around to many junk yards and no one has this part. can i call delray and tell them to ship ship me everything else? and cancel the backorder item? i'm at a loss, i just put in my last order today for my motor mounts and i'm 100% ready for parts once this backorder shit is taken care of.

call them up and cancel that one part, should be able to easily without much hassle

as far as rigging it up, just zip tie it to the master for the time being or something, till you can get it

i'll call delray tomorrow and have them cancel it. i've got oxmoor acura (local) going to try and see if they can order it in "critical status" maybe that'll get it moving? if not i'm sure i can find some kind of bracket to work.

basically overnighting it, puts it at the top of the list (they finally did that for that intake spacer bolts, when i got them, then i sold it lol)

here's the engine and tranny mated with a few bolts with the starter installed (some bolts are still on order)

here's a quick mockup of the setup, just checking to make sure everything is there as far as bolts and oil line lengths

i've spent the past two days working on the pedal setup. i got the old brake pedal out and the new one in

behind this bracket (it used to be for the emergency foot brake) are the dimples for the clutch master cyl/clutch pedal. i grinded the bracket off, now i have to go to lowes and get some more cutting discs to clean off the metal chunks that are in the way of the dimples

i'm still set for the swap this weekend.

a little furthur out pictures please, so i can see exactly what i have to do to mine, to get a clkutch pedal in there, in like a week or two (yes i am going manual also )(btw that $300 bracket from the dealer that the clutch pedal mounts to, it is the exact same part number on the 4-cylinder accords, which are a whole lot easy to find too, so $45 for the bracket instead of $300 plus from the dealer [pedal itself shows a different number though, but still coming out ahead though ]

good luck on your swap. i happened to get my pedals used from juan c lopez used, so i didn't have to worry about getting a new one for expensive. if you need a flywheel and not looking at high performance ones i can let you know where i got mine. about $400 cheaper than the dealer wants haha.

pictures suck cause my cannon is fucked up and i've had to resort to taking pics with my cell phone. that's why i haven't shown many pictures lately. but my gf let me borrow her camera for the swap (next weekend) so we should be good

already got one clutchmasters stage 3, why just not upgrade when doing it, instead of having to pull it back all apart and redo it (and spend money on stock components; in the first place, if you are eventually going to upgrade anyways)

next weekend , mine will be midweek sometime, on my day off at work (i am a lazy ass when it comes to working on the ground, i like using a hoist )(let alone all my tools are at work also [at least my nice ones lol])

haha when i bought my stock quality clutch and flywheel i was not aware that i'd be buying the turbo kit.

yeah man, the tl is my daily driver and i've been collecting parts since january, now i have 99% of all my parts now and i'm ready to go this weekend. that's when my brother and some friends are coming in town to help. i'm gonna have to save up for a tune though, haltech isn't cheap.

only been getting parts for like the last 2 weeks , but even then basically all parts are ordered and such, so i am basically good to go once i get them all (btw the best part is that it is going to be part of my 120k sevice, litially i am at 119,450 miles)

and as far as a turbo, i want to at least gat a stroker or fi at some point, so an upgraded clutch would be crucial (and already crucial when i start spraying soon)

ummm...., just making sure... but is that oil return going to work with the header, or will you need a right angle fitting for it

day 1, we've got all the vacuum lines and all the wiring harness free from the chassis. we started running into trouble with the axles and had to run off and grab a ball joint removal fork. we were getting tired and it was getting dark. tomorrow, finish removing that axle and pull engine.

day 2

nice, finally got the axle out of the intermediate shaft. unhooked the last bit of lines and damnit if the engine and transmission are too long to pull together. so now we're disconnecting the engine and transmission to pull it. the six speed will be able to go in there together though.

damn we had a hard day in the sun.

transmission was giving us issues so we were able to rig the chain to let us out a certain way. tomorrow calls for an engine bay clean up, installing new motor mounts, finish installing clutch master cyl/ clutch pedal, and installing the new engine. I imagine the turbo will be installed sunday.

auto shifter, prepare to meet garbage can!!

Day 3

had a big problem with not having the rear engine mount bolts, so i'll have to order them from honda. i have some substitutes for the time being but the car will not be driveable. we installed the shifter and even the clutch pedal, clutch master cyl. man it was friggin hard, such a tight space to work with. rain stopped our work for the night

tomorrow engine/turbo gets installed.
