Yeah, finally have some money from work. Also tax refunds came back. 1g in my pocket lol. Started my new job midway through the year so I got most of my taxes back this time around. Probably going to replace my speakers with jbl or polk too. Teins for our cars are much cheaper than when I first bought them too. it's like 750 on ebay right now or "make an offer" which you may save 100-200.

Got a new battery after having the previous one testing bad at autozone. The Duralast Gold Battery is taller than the triple A one i had in there and the securing bracket does not reach the frame casing the battery sits in. Do any of you brackets on your batteries or dont worry with them?

I have a battery with the same situation. It's been unstrapped for months without incident.

I just got new tires! Bridgestone Potenza Pole Positions, just on, but they are sticky and quiet AND were pretty cheap I think.... $133 per tire.

Nice! I have Toyo Proxes 4 215/45R/17 and they are way nosier than I expected! Slowing down from 10mph-a stop and the car sounds like a german tank!

Seafoam 1/3 in pvc, 1/3 in crank, and 1/3 in gas tank. 25 mile "spirited run" then synthetic oil change. Feul filter as well. OBX throttle body spacer should be here Teusday.

The shop recently listed the car at $3,800. If it does not sell within 30 days, they will be parting it out. D:

Attempted to change my fuel filter. What a PITA. Leaking like crazy, don't ever buy Oreilly brand. Doesn't seal right. Btw anyone know if the banjo fitting holes have to line up with the holes on the bolt? If it does that shit ain't tight enough.

Since I fixed the passenger quarter panel yesterday I thought I would tackle the bumper cover tody. It did not line up very well the PO had backed into something in the past and pushed the cover in and was bulging out on the pass side, I pulled the tail light out and the trunk plastic, as soon as I pulled the light I could see the damage in side the the light opening so with a couple of body hammers and dollies I got it back it shape then had to push the mounting bosses out a little for the light to get it lined up, I found the hole that the stud for the inner bumper support that mounts to the body,I had a long drift put it threw the hole right on the stud and with a few good smacks with a 3 pound hammer I was able to push the support out and the cover. Then a little massaging to the very outer channel of the support pulled the cover right out and inline with the fender, trunk and light. Then threw some new spark plugs in done for today. Next week repaint rims.

Can't wait to see how the panel came out. I couldn't expand the pic in your garage so you somehow have to get me a pic. If your willing (and I would compensate) I'm going to locate a fender and you could help me with mine.

I is not that hard to do,take your time welding spot weld only let every other weld cool off do not get the part to hot after a few spots walk away let it cool off, slow and steady I have a lincoln sp135 plus mig for body work.It is a 110volt unit.
The front fender fits well, the angle on the tip has to be straightened a little so the bumper cover will sit flush.

Did you use a pass side fender ? i have been thinking of doing this but making the fender wider about a inch with a little bit of body work. to make it more aggresive with the wheels.

Quarter panel repair

To repair the passenger side quarter you use the drivers front fender. For the drivers side quarter repair you would use the passenger side front fender.

Today I put the CL up on the lift and checked all the suspension parts over, I have a clunk/rattle in the front end that I heard when I was hitting bumps. Checked front and back besides the bushings being cracked on the control arms in the front the passenger side lower ball joint is toast, grabbed it with a big set of channel locks and it moved alot! So that will be the next job.
Also today I took the right rear ABS sensor out and got the broken stud out that holds the ABS sensor on the right rear knuckle.

i did oil change(switched to mobil 1 full synthetic), changed battery(duralast gold) and found out my c/v boot on my left front is cut (thats geting fixed on Saturday for free.)
The battery was free to because someone at autozone gave me the wrong battery a long time ago.
with this string of luck i should play the lotto.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find out if a fuse box harness (for radio, gauges, etc.) from a 98 Acura CL 3.0 is compatible with the 97 Acura CL 3.0?
