Just spent about 3 hrs washing the CL. Main focus was the rims as they hadn't been cleaned in months and had lots of brake dust caked on them. They look brand new and shiny which was the goal, so that I can put some wheel sealant on them. Also cleaned the carbon fiber hood and washed the rest of the car. Put gas in her so I can add stabil and put her away for winter. Also, got the battery charged (in order to drive it) and now have it on winter tend. Nothing like having a nice clean and shiny CL!

Put in silver stars for the low beams - nice improvement.

Looks like it's time for the engine to be dealt with. I've had the car for two years, and put 50k on it. It's always burned a quart every 1200 miles, but now it's up to a quart every 700. My mechanic is going to give me swap vs rebuild options and prices. Any input here is welcome. It's a '98 - 2.3 stick.

Painted the bay!

Got bored and painted all my plastics! Used Krylon Fusion spraypaint. I actually am impressed at how it came out.

put in my new stereo system. kenwood head unit, all 4 speakers replaced with kenwoods (broke the wiring harness clip for my mirror controls when taking off my door panel, fun stuff). threw in a mediocre sub for the time being. and starting to swap out all my interior lights with LEDs.

Driver side seat stopped reclining. Took the cover off and banged the motor a few times with some WD40 and works better then ever now!

I got mine on ebay. Came with the 2.5 piping and all the peices needed and included a k&n filter. Paid $75 bucks! I have the car half lowerd on neuspeeds and gr-2's. Still waiting on the front struts to come in so I can finish lol. Also scored an energy suspension master bushing set off a kid on here for 55 bucks shipped! That's going in as well. Not to ramble, but I got my clear corners in the mail today and my flowmaster muffler should be here by monday at the latest.

Damn dude. I wish I had that much money to throw into my car haha. But let me know how the flowmaster sounds when you get it on. My buddys got one that im gonna buy for like $30 and I wanna make sure it doesn't sound too ricey. I was planning on going with 2 1/4 inch pipes and dropping the middle resonater. Wasn't sure if that would be too loud or too ricey.

it's been a long time since I've been on the a-zine. busy with school, work, etc. going to dental school in July. got an oil change. i've given up on selling my racing harts. I'm just going to put them back on my car. have new work lug nuts. going to get the racing harts all polished up and some tires on them. going to change out all of my bushings and get an alignment.

Lowered plus Energy Suspension

Finally dropped this thing. I put Neuspeed sports with KYB GR-2's although alot of people disagree with that I'm sure, lol. Also did the energy suspension master kit on the front end minus the upper control arm one's that I'll get to later this week. Not the greatest pic cuz it's getting dark out! http://www.flickr.com/photos/57040365@N06/6691458785/in/photostream/lightbox/

Been there! Bought my one owner CL cheap cuz it had been sitting for over a year due to the owners death. Had to pretty much change out the whole suspension because it was worn and that includes the cv axles. I did all the work myself though!

But as it stands.. Took the emergency "all weather" door popper push button switch off cuz the recent move up to the NW Seattle area had a lil accident and tore a small lil slit in the switch housing. Everything had corroded over and cold icy weather froze water in the switch which shorted it out. either the switch or the solenoid.. ahhh specialty electronics... why must thou drive me to grey hairs!!! still able to get into the car due to remote window action.. but for how long...? better get this re-wired soon! dont wanna have to deal with seized door poppers!!
