Had to swap in a spare bass amp because mine overheated and tripped the protection, also started using the front aux input on my HU because the aux input I had hooked up in the back of the HU came loose somehow

Nice man, I left mine in the garage, so the CF hood didn't have to cook in the 105 deg heat

That seat is actually out of my Supra haha, I'm kinda tired of the Supra to be honest so I'm back to the CL now, it's nicer having a car that spends more time on the road than on the lift lol

Puller hood bumpers and mirror for repaint
My friend is a out of work painter and he offered to repair and paint the hood bumpers and mirror for me. Plus he is painting my black spoiler from my crashed 97 cl. Only catch was he had no room for my car at his place so I had to bring him the parts and I have to put it all back together when he is done.
I will have picks later with results.

He's going to wet sand and buff the whole car after its all together
He said that should bring out the origional white like the new paint and it should match pretty good
We will see I guess
Sure beats the beat up bumpers and rock chipped hood

Gave some Accord guy my stock suspension and took his F&F Type 2's today. I haven't had time to adjust them yet just put them on, and their current setup from the previous owner is completely retarded, so I have no real opinion on them yet. They seem nice though.

I also removed the third brake light from the rear deck and made a cover with tan grill cloth. Done for a while now.

Cruisin'
Started my winter prep today... Washed and waxed the exterior, Vacuumed/Shampooed/Leather protected the interior, & put in a new starter. Next up is a new radiator since mine decided to crack along the top, fresh coolant, New IACV, new rear caliper and winter tires and I should be ready to tackle winter!

Heres what Ive done in the past three months to my 97
35% tint
new front tires toyo, brand new backs general? (dont ask)
hayden tranny cooler
putco headlight bulbs, fresh lens wet sand/polish
relocated new optima red top battery to trunk
installed cai (ebay) with specter filter to remove the hummm
fresh oil and filter
I also had to replace my raidator this year had a tiny crack on the bottom.
My car basicly looks like montanas above^ idk if thats cyclone blue tho. and yes is think you should get yellow TINT for those lenses not paint. IMO
Now time to do wheel bearings on my ford exploder, cat and muffler OEM of course. and fluids duh.... so its ready for the winter.. then park the CL till spring

Burning Brakes

Finally installed the NSX calipers
I use mine to hold my navigation antenna. I placed the round metal stick on thing in the third brake light housing (since I have the rear spoiler and don't use the high third brake light anyway) and have the antenna looking out the back window
I also removed the third brake light from the rear deck and made a cover with tan grill cloth. Done for a while now.

Forgot to mention if you ever change the ignition switch yourself and it looks like there are rivets holding the bracket on the steering column instead of 8mm bolts like its supposed to have, its because the heads of the bolt are very easily broken off if you over tighten them. All you have to do is cut a slot in them with a dremil or a chisel or something and use a flat head screwdriver to remove those bolts. Its pretty easy to remove them once you get the slot cut in them because they do not tighten very tight before the heads break off

CL in lawnmower status
Had to change over to my winter set of wheels on the CL, because my other set went flat with all the cold weather here.
but because my car is still lowered, couldn't move it due to flat tires, and since i can't get a jack under the front end normally, and in this situation could not get the jack under either front or rear jack points behind the front tires or in front of the rear ones, i could only start at the rear towhook and use some dumb ideas to get the front ones off
so in order to change all 4 tires on a cl on a quite steep driveway took me about 2 hours 1 low-profile jack, 2 jack stands, a block of wood
...and some very unsafe and hilarious looking jacking techniques...

Today, I laid my '99 CL 3.0 to rest. :/ The tranny finally did it! It's stuck in second gear. Bought it used in Feb for $3500 with 104k on it, it now had 120k and it is going to the depths of Craigslist. I'm kind of pretty sad about it, I started college with the car and was hoping to make many great memories with it.... So much for that. Tranny is at least 2k to fix, not worth it to me. RIP car! </3 (andddddd now on to a TSX! wish me luck with that.)
