First snow of the year, was driving in rear wheel drive, roads were all clear, got up on a bridge that crosses one of the rivers here, and it was a solid sheet of ice. I started to slide, and was heading toward 3 or 4 oncoming cars, so I chose the wall on the side of the bridge instead. Luckily I wasn't hurt, and the truck's still driveable, could have been a LOT worse. Sucks my winter DD is gonna be down for a week or so though, time for a rental

Fender is smashed, bumper is busted, passenger door doesn't open, headlight is pushed and it's brackets are broken, turn signal lense is busted. But, Tire/rim are fine, all lights and bulbs still work, like I said, I got lucky, and drove it all the way home, and have been driving it for a week since. Hoping the hood is ok, it's like a grand for the hood by itself

You can kind of see the gap between the fender and hood in this pic, hoping it's just the fender causing issues

Thanks man, I consider myself lucky, it's been 7 years since my last car accident (CL) and I got real lucky with the damage and being able to recover enough to not hit the cars coming at me. Just sucks I have to pay a deductable and rent a car right before the holidays

Unless it is too late, tell the insurance company that you hit a deer first than hit the ice. The deer being involved is considered an act of god and will be covered under comprehensive and not collision so it wont effect your insrance rate. meaning you wont pay more each mont.

Too late bud, and I don't lie to my ins company when I wrecked my CL I had to pay 2 deductables cuz I didn't want to lie and say the rear end damage was from the same accident in the front

Thought about the CL today when I got an offer from Bilstein for a coop job the upcoming quarter. It's a good offer, so I'll probably be taking it sometime next week. Bilstein coilvers for the CL? Me thinks yes...

finally got the wheel installed and switches put in also. Took awhile to get all the parts because they had to come from another dealership to the one I purchased from then to me, so took an extra week to get the parts here. The switches I bought from Chris (BlackAck) and they just arrived today, but she is finally in

I wish you could add it to the factory acura syetem. I was thinking about getting the VSS5000 but heck I hate the viper horn on my camaro and not sure if they can wire it into the factory horn from the Acura or not because my camaro didn't have a factory security system

4Runner looks awesome, looks like a brand new truck.

Today I bought a set of fender liners, and a set of black fender washers for the ack as an early christmas gift.

Took the CL for a drive today, and the right rear sidewall went out. Finally getting the exhaust fixed as well as the blown tire, so that will probably put the audio build on hold for a bit. Then again, I'll have 2 good solid checks before my first real one at Bilstein, which is where I start on January 3rd.

Got mine officially certified and plated today.

Certification took a while since I picked it up in an okay condition. Needed front rotors and pads, ball joints, exhaust from the cat back (fell off one night from a hole haha) and put in a new radiator, and hoses with a full flush.

Can't wait to keep reading up on other mods and fixes for this car. Looking to just tint, sound and lower a bit with some nice rims. Anyone know of other sites for our cars?

What are your sound plans?

As for my CL, ~$400 later, I'm back up and running 100%. Just burning in the new exhaust gaskets right now. Smells like shit, but it's all good. I have a feeling I'm going to need a new alt soon. Mine was on the fritz yesterday. Then again, the batt was way down in terms of charge, so that could be it. I'm gonna give the batt a good charge today, so that should help out quite a bit. We'll see I guess. Also gonna be working on a 1 competition only setup tonight. It will be very interesting...

I used to be into SPL and everything, not anymore haha.

I just have a pretty solid system at the moment. 2 12" Rockfords, 500w Alpine amp, Pioneer Deck. Picked it all up for $150 so can't go wrong! It does thump really nice and doesn't kill my power.

As far as my car today, I am finally driving it and not having it at the shop for once! These holiday travels should show me how comfortable the CL can be.

Not exactly my choice of equipment, but for $150, yeah, not a bad deal.

Well the past was years ago for me haha. I had a custom sub made for me, it had 3000w put to it at one time, but my amp I had was only 1500w. It was made for that.

The system was in a Saturn, which was a bad idea since all the plastic panels vibrated like crazy haha

Yeah, this system isn't what I wanted but for the price I couldn't refuse and it does the job well for what I want right now. Soon enough I will put all same branding and a better system in.

Today for my car, I am replacing the clutch slave cylinder since my pedal went to the floor last night and kept getting stuck. It was hard to get in gear and all that as well... I really hope that's the issue since it's Xmas time and I am pressed for cash of course.
