Raised the car a couple inches and put the stock wheels back on. Also replaced the rear brake pads.

Not sure yet. I had planned on doing it just for the winter while I have the CKP sensor and rust fixed. It's so much nicer having some ground clearance, though. I may just get new wheels and keep it like this.

It's not worth the interest rate raping you will incur. Be smart w/money when you're young, it'll help later on

Pay cash for all car mods. It's already a depreciating asset.

my update is somewhat similar
i just got front brake pads done at Acura, and had the service advisor compliment me on how good my car looks like slammed, then continued to talk about cars for like 15 mins
i bet all the service guys hate it though, can't get that shit on a lift without a bunch of 2x4's first
and no winter driving for the cl if i can find a fun winter beater again, if not i'm gonna def have to raise it in a couple weeks, and rust proof the shit out of everything i scraped this summer
don't forget to do yours too blazin, don't want that frame rail or other exposed scraped metal to rust over the winter

That's a good idea. Are you having yours professionally rust proofed? I have a few cans of the Eastwood brand rubberized coating I could use.

My neighbor and I are working on a real wood shift knob for the CL. I'm using the Nardi Miata knob as a reference. I've always wanted one of those, but they had a different thread pitch.

Anyways, we started cutting it out today. I want to weight it, but it might not be deep enough. The wood will be stained with 3 or 4 different colors to match the OEM woodgrain. Then sealed with either an acrylic or an automotive clear coat to make it glossy. The company I work for makes graphics that can apply directly to the substrate using heat. I'm going to apply an "ACURA" over top a "CL" logo. Below is a mock-up of the design I'm shooting for.

My neighbor is a carpenter, I asked him if he'd make more if I could find some people that wanted them. He doesn't work much due to the economy. Turn around time should be quick. If you guys want one, let me know and I can get a price.

naw, i'm gonna try to do it myself, i don't want to spend a lot on something like that, but it's gonna be kinda hard considering i can't get it that high in the air with only jack stands
and yeah i was just planning on using the undercoating rubberized stuff i have laying in the garage, anything would help i would imagine though

Thanks Chris. I've done a few autocrosses before, but since the CL is my daily, I try not to push her too hard.

Forgot to mention, after paying for this like 4 months ago I was finally able to get it from my cousin in WPB lol. It's heavier than I expected, but being thicker and having a smaller diameter will def be better than the stock CL wheel.

Funny how I'm still collecting parts for a car I haven't driven for a year
