Bought a $40 intake off Amazon. It arrived today and man is it a POS. It's the most thin, soft aluminum tubing I've ever seen. It also required some cutting since it fit so poorly.

I thought you had a custom made intake, what did you do change it to this one? what was the reasoning behind it?

Mines a lower portion from a 2 piece cold air intake from a 97 2.2 accord. Fits prefect lol

The intake I posted before was off my other car. A friend with a shop welded that one for me along with an extension for drag racing.

The v-stack and filter was swapped to the CL though. The cheap-o filter from Amazon went in the garbage.

yeah I don't know whether to get one of those cheapo's off of eBay or save up and get a good one. I don't have a welder so can't really weld one up myself

Didn't know the cheap ones were this cheap. There are aluminum cans that are thicker than this thing.

i cant tell you how many times i replace the hubs and bearings on that car. the last time i finally did it, i did it right and converted to the rotor over hub so it will be a quick install for you.

you're doing all the things i wanted to do except for the black roof and tinted tails. keep up the good work though.

btw. how do you like the magnetic drain plug? the thing really does work. i already have one on my Accord.

i started a little brake overhaul project myself. piecing stuff together every paycheck i get.

i just got ITR/BB6/AV6 calipers from RockAuto.com (thanks blazinsi for the suggestion) for $30 each !

rest of the list:
OEM ITR/BB6/AV6 pads
OEM 4cyl EX pads and rotors
Russell SS braided lines
and high temp paint to match the gray high temp paint on the ITR calipers.

clutch fluid was low, drive to work was terrible, couldn't use first for half of the 30 minute drive
filled it up, drove home, back to normal again
but i think i have a leak, and it gets way worse when cold
my clutch was partially engaged the whole way to work, made shifting quite tricky, but she made it

im sure it would have slipped for me to if i ever took it to high RPM's. the most i usually ever took it to was 6pm. i never raced the thing so going to 8 was unnecessary. the guys i sold the car to told me they would beat it on from time to time.

but yeah i was gonna get an Exedy Stage 1 clutch and flywheel but never got around to it. the clutch was fine for the way i drove it so i figured why bother until it becomes a real problem.

as for your question. im not sure. but i doubt it matters.

Was stupid today. Broke the little ring that holds the cirgaretter lighter in. Stupid stupid stupid. Was trying to figure out why my car charger wasnt working. Fuse was fine (cause it is the same one that runs the radio, right??)
Anyone have a part number for this ring, interior is gray. so means grey ring.

Could either of these leak due to temperature? or should i be looking at the hoses or other stuff as well?
It seems to only be the worst when it's cold, basically freezing temperature
i just want to make sure what i need to replace for the winter
i haven't found a winter car yet, so if i drive the cl for the winter, i need to get this resolved before then, if it's this bad at freezing temps, it's gonna suck at -40
and i just put in some more fluid this morning, so i should be able to tell how fast the leak is, if i check it all the time now

Part is #16 on the diagram. The 97's have Quartz Grey interior and the part # is 77721-SY8-A00ZB. For some reason they also have Classy Grey as an option which I didn't think was available until '98, but the part # is 77721-SY8-A00ZA in case you need it.

Edit: Did you pull the cigarette lighter out and look at it? There are only 2 wires, power and ground, make sure they're intact also.

Awesome, thanks for the parts list. Much needed. I used a voltmeter to check for power at the wires leading into the cigarette lights and had nothing. But the little illumination bulbs were not lit either.
anyone know the fuse number that controls this circuit??

oh and what I did today, drained an refilled the trans, wow super simple job once you find the giant bolt that says ATF on it.
