I can has rims
So yesterday, got the car inspected (state inspection) and it passed for the 3rd or 4th year in a row with the same tires, pads, rotors and wipers.
Last night, got everything ready to go.
Today I got up at the asscrack of dawn again to be first at the tire place, and 40 mins later, I went for a drive and took a few pics of my dirty car with shiney rims
Had to put the rims on to see about rubbing before I lowered the car anymore, I'm going to drive on these for a bit and see how much lower I want to go, but the wheel gap isn't that bad.
Had these babies for 3 years, had the tires for a year, finally found a place that wasn't raping on labor to install them. Paid $85 out the door, NTB wanted over $200. But I am taking my truck there, so I stopped there to get a quote and took pics in their parking lot

Thanks man, definitely need to lower the coils a little more, there's less wheel gap than I thought, probably gonna drop another half inch or so
Sticking with the productivity, I took the 4Runner to NTB today to get an axle replaced, get the wheels rebalanced and rotated, and get an alignment. I don't know what I'll do driving 2 cars with good alignment everyday, it will be weird

As for my CL, I was supposed to have the box built for the subs on Friday, then that got pushed back to today, and now it's pushed back for another day or so at least. Subs should be here on Tuesday, so I may build then, just not sure yet. It's gotta be done by Friday night so I can get at least a bit of sleep before heading out Saturday morning around 9am for the meet. And this is just one of many audio things that need to be sorted out before the meet... Hooray, it's going to be a fun week.

Matt, you'll have to get them off the car first, and past 2 vicious guard pit bulls
Drove the car today on the highway for the first time with the new rims, car rides so smooth with the teins, the alignment, and the new rims/tires. You can definitely feel the road more with the 40 series tires, but it drives great, I'm very pleased

did an oil change at about 12 last night, hooked up the back speakers again after that.
And then started my drive from my house at 7am, just made it to chicago now.
so put 1400kms(870 miles) give or take on the cl today
so it's time for both of us to sleep.
nice work on the rims Chris, i think it needs more slam, but that's just personal opinion, maybe an inch or so... you should leave your ride height a surprise for the meet.
i especially want to compare my ride height with Matt
i keep forgetting how high cl's are stock, and i want to see what the difference is, cuz people always ask me how much i lowered it.

New box is most of the way done. I forgot to cut a couple pieces for the port, but they shouldn't make too much of a difference to worry about. They're just 45's, and I'll probably rebuild this box in a couple weeks anyway out of birch for the weight savings.

Had my buddy drain and fill my tranny fluid today, car shifts so smooth. It had been shifting real hard, but runs real smooth. I usually drain and fill right when I take her out for the summer, but waited a while. Definitely glad I finally got around to it. Also got my CF woodgrain piece switched out with the new one Travis made for me, and installed my Pioneer double din. Was a busy day, but very worth it.

Yesterday, I drove the Acura for the first time in a couple weeks. The bouncing idle that a car gets after sitting for awhile is becoming a normal thing when I do get around to driving it. Other than that, I'm still trying to figure out my power distribution setup for this weekend. If worse comes to worse, I can bolt ring terminals together, but I'd rather not do that if I don't have to because it'll look as hell.

One of the fibers had snagged, and it had a big U shape in the weave, also it looked rushed and a few sections the resin wasn't smooth or sanded right. Someone on here I think shnee pointed it out in the pics and Travis sourced another piece and made me a new one. Just took me a year to put it on

^damn, left already, what was it?
oh and we did one of the segway tours while we were there, it as actually pretty good, got to see a lot
well my front drivers side is a bit higher than the rest i think, and a little higher than i want it. i was going to go a bit lower all around, but i'm already kind of used to this height, and there are so many places i scrape but still get by, and i certainly don't want to get hung up anywhere.
so.... what did i do to the cl today... drove it from Chicago to Cleveland basically.
fucked up the flex pipe more when i bottomed out in Indiana, and got my amber corner almost completely knocked out by a tire the car infront on me kicked up...
all in days work for a lowered cl from Canada i guess

I'm sure you're lower than mine, but not by much. I'm leaving the ride height where it is until after the meet, but I'll have plenty of other things done by then. I did some work on her last night, doing some more today, and taking her to get the tranny fluid changed
