Bought stainless brake lines, high temp fluid, Ingalls camber kit and a new helmet. Hopefully I can get everything together for the HPDE at the end of month.

I went with an HJC AR 10 II (SA2010).

opened my hood to figure out my passenger HID cutting out on hard braking issue. Then noticed something that pissed me off.
I recently had the p0401 taken care of at the stealership under the warranty extension. They replaced the EGR valve, but I was pretty sure they were suppose to remove the intake and clean it.
There was not one finger print on the hoses, plastic covers or anything that would show evidence the intake was removed.
Does anyone know the exact procedure for the P0401 fix for the 97 CL 3.0?? I need some ammo for when I confront the stealership with my findings. Yes the CEL is off, but I dont want them to get away with a half azz job.

Chances are they just cleaned the port, and put a new EGR on

I have been real busy working on other projects but I put some rear mud flaps on the CL and also am building a box that will actually fit in the trunk for 2 13.5 JLW7's and am going to rewire the amps once I get that done because I got another 1000/1 so going to 0 guage wire instead of the 8 guage I have in there now. Then I have to find a higher output alt for this thing so its going to be a little while before I get all this done because I have other things going on also

Do you have a 2.x or a 3.0? I know Mechman has alts for the F series motors. They may also have them for the J series, but I'm not sure. Their some top quality products, and since you're working with JL, it doesn't seem money is a problem. And 2 13.5" woofers in an ideal enclosure seems a bit much for the trunk of a CL. I'd think a couple smaller subs could better take advantage of your space and power.

As for my CL, I walked by it this morning, and I'll walk past it again when I get home from work. That's about it. Audio rebuild coming soon, but nothing yet. Being in school and trying to do stuff to the car ftl. Although I should have an interview at Bilstein North American HQ here in the next couple weeks. Hopefully that works out, because that'd be one hell of a job, imo.

took off my front wheels to check out my brakes and decide if I really wanted to do the brake conversion. Pads almost new, rotors eh??, and then the real issue. I found one slide pin on the passenger side was frozen. Managed to get it out with a little hammering, then cleaned it up, regreased it and eased it back in. Moves great now. Drives pretty good now. May not have to do the conversion just yet.

4ga wire cannot handle 200A of current. You better step up to 1/0 wire. Just a heads up.

the power wire is 2 gauge which is what they sent me with the alt. I made the 4 gauge ground myself since I upgraded the power wire to the trunk to 0 gauge I had the 4 gauge wire I took out left over to make the ground wires. I thought I put both gauge wires (2 and 4) but left out the 2 gauge power wire part, my mistake. Whats on there now looks pretty close to 8 gauge so 2 gauge should do allot better than that I would think

I re-read the instructions and I don't replace the wire, I add it from the alt to the battery. So I will have the factory and the 2 gauge hooked to the back of the alt and both going to the positive terminal of the battery. That should be sufficient I would think

I got a Bosch AL1277HO, Its a 200 Amp alternator. I was going to get a 160 but it wasn't big enough considering ours is already 105 amp. I was going to get this 320amp alt but it was a little more than I needed https://www.dcpowerinc.com/8220-320-hp.html
