They may be different because the 98-99's have an immobilizer and the 97's don't

I envy your headlights. Mine have started clouding out of control. I'll polish them and 2 months later, look like crap again.

She is clean!

Shoot, I've been so out of touch with the forums for the last 6months or so, I forgot to mention that I moved again. Went from living in the middle of no where, but in the mountains. The only things I had to be scared of were Coyotes, and in Poughkeepsie. I'm in bumper to bumper traffic, live in a complex and feel the need to keep two weapons in my car, my Kenyan tribal human killing club and keep my SCAR rifle in a guitar case in my trunk. Last night I was driving home at about midnight and the area I went through was so sketchy I had the club ready I do get hassled much less due to my car but still. Oh and if you're wondering I did the move for a better job, so there's that.

Though there's way more to do down here and people drive nice cars. Done with my stupid rant

Same thing here with the headlights! I get moisture inside. I need to open them up and black them out and reseal but taking the front bumper off seems like a pita!

Finally put in some H.I.D.'s. 5k to match my corner led's. Also plasti-dipped my front grill and rear Acura symbol matte black. Looked at the power and grounds coming off of the battery and contemplated using the 15 feet of monster 1/0guage wire that I have, but again didn't go through with it, lol!

Plasti dip

Plasti dipped my wheels over the last week. Have to say I'm pretty damn pleased with the results for my first time! Also went to the Staggered 2012 car show here in CT and met up with about 5 or 6 guys from AZINE. Pretty big turnout and some amazing cars. Here's the wheels http://www.flickr.com/photos/timeizm...in/photostream

Usually when something like this happens, I just drill a hole in an inconspicuous spot in the top part of the light housing that lets the vapor get out.

CEL came on the other day. code said car needs new o2 sensor. took car to my mechanic and he said its fine, but the reason the car is throwing the codes is because i use gas with 10% ethanol. he said using a couple tanks of strait gas should fix it.

has anyone ever heard of this?

From what I'm reading, regular passenger cars will do just fine on up to 10% ethanol. What grade of gas are you using? I have a 3.0 and actually think the car runs better and has better mileage on regular. I read that with the j30a1 using a higher grade is actually worse for our cars as it doesn't burn it all in one stroke or something to that effect. The higher grades contain more ethanol too.

Thanks! I'm scared to wash them as I don't know how well this stuff holds up lol! Cost me $40 bucks and maybe 4 hours due to me waiting around a half hour between coats.

Since the weekend...
CL - Did all 4 rotors and pads. Hub over rotor... 1 day each front rotor. Also did front lower ball joints. Still got love for the CL. Fits my HUGE goalie bag no problem. Handles pot holes too now.

S2k - NGK Iridium Spark plugs, fixed HID's, my own custom seat locks. On the to do list are tranny and diff oil. WTB seats but we'll see when that happens...

Hard to sell my CL parts. If any of you are interested let me know. I'll negotiate with serious buyers...

Swapped my old leather seats for some nice clean cloth seats and only paid $60 for the whole set including the rear.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/timeizm...in/photostream

Also picked up a piece of quarter panel to fix my wheel well rust for $10. So seats and a replacement panel for $70, not bad!

The grey leather seats are for sale too. Both heaters work and only the drivers has rips and tears. If I could get $100 I'd be happy!

So after 8 years my Optima Yellow Top finally gave out and won't hold a full charge any more, so I ordered another 1 today. 8 years isn't bad considering all the abuse it went through

Mine lasted all of 3 years, never buying one again. I figure I could have bought about 4 cheap batteries for the same price. Though I did like the cranking amps.

I actually did stuff to my car.

Changed the oil and filter, Mobil One and Bosch respectively. Cleaned my K&N and got my interior professionally detailed. It's actually on day 2 of detailing, freakin amazing difference, like getting into a new car. I'll post some pics when it's done, today he's steaming the rugs. Not bad for $40 and tallboy.

Higher grade definitely isn't worse for the car, it can only help. All grades have the same level of ethanol in them, up to 10%. If anything the higher octane should be better with ethanol than regular. Either way doesn't matter for me, neither my CL nor M3 can run on less than 91 octane lol.

Today I shopped around for a tuner for my CL. I was hoping it would be tuned prior the car being transported to me but idk if that's going to be the case. As I don't know any of the reputable tuning shops in my area just yet, I've got some homework to do.

Also came across this commercial, really made me miss my car

Not trying to start a debate, but you are wrong. It has been dyno proven that anything more than 87 in the j30a1 results in less performance and worse gas mileage. Would love to post the whole article but it's afrom a different forum so i'll post the important part of the article. You can also search for it.

By today's standards, the J30A1 runs a relatively low 9.4:1 CR (compression ratio) which decreases its need for octane. 10.0:1 would be considered medium, and 10.5:1 or above would be pretty high for a production general consumer market engine. Typically a 10.0:1 CR is the crossover point on whether an engine will need higher octane fuel or not. A conservatively tuned engine with a 10.0:1 CR can do fine with 87 octane, but one with more advanced tuning will need premium. Due to the J30A1's low compression ratio and also its conservative state of tune (both ignition timing and air-fuel ratio), it performs the best on 87 octane fuel. Anything more will actually DEGRADE performance, not improve it. This was proven by a chassis dyno test on a J30A1 powered Accord by Car & Driver magainze in November 2001, and also proven at the track by previous G6 Accord V6 owners - they ran a few tenths slower
