^ Vince, someone requested it and it's to attract more buyers. And I was gonna do it anyway before winter if the car doesn't sell.

no he didn't say anything and because Jbond helped me change out my suspension he gets the first dibs. I hope the cat goes tomorrow, I raised it back up, took off the wheels, and I hope its not all for nothing.

so I got a funny email today regarding the car :"don't have that!..... plus its a high miler' and no warranty.is the belt done?..front end work?.....some of these ricer cars are more trouble than their worth"

he made me an offer of 13000 with wheels and everything. I told him no, and this is what he comes up with.

yea he test drove it and now he's trying to find someone to do the inspection. he's really interested. I was gonan return the car back to stock anyway, so this just gave me an extra push. Me and Justin did the suspension and all i had to pay for was wheel alignment and a new end link.

Cool did you guys swap suspensions? He's really interested in our LED sidemarkers, not sure if he asked you about those.

Lol if you have some spare time one of these weekdays or weekends would you be willing to help me out with my headlights? I want to open them up and replace the lenses with a pair of zkw-r ones I got, along with wrapping the amber in CF, paint the chrome strip black, and install the 6K fog light kit. Oh yeah install the 6K DRL kit too. I figure since you've done your headlights and removed your bumper already this would be a much quicker process if I can get a helping hand from someone with experience.

no we didn't swap, I had my stock suspension so I put that one on. And yea he's interested and asked to swap me his stock one but this guy that's buying it saw it already so I can't just take it off the car.

Yea I can help you out with the headlights, we are gonna need a whole day to do them tho so we have to plan for that haha It takes a while to get it done properly. You just need to get something good to seal the headlights, the stuff I used isn't the best.

I think I read Nissan Butyl is the best sealant out there. Do you think we can get it all done in an evening or would a weekend work better?

Not an evening. It's best if we start early in the day. So you aren't paining anything right? Then it might go faster since we don't have to take apart the inside of the headlight, that gets time consuming. Changing out the lense is pretty fast. Still I wouldn't wanna try and do it into a night, that's how you make mistakes and you rush

@Myron - Nah I don't want to black it out, just cleared. Only thing that needs to be painted is that chrome strip that runs along the middle of the headlight. I imagine that needs a few coats and wouldn't take as long as the whole assembly. I'll text u when I find out more regarding my schedule to see which day would work best for you.

Happy Birthday!

Haha acura ftw!

oh yea that would go quick if we are just painting the strip. That strip has to come off anyways to take off the reflectors and we can just hot glue it back, and then heat them up and put them together. We just need clamps. If you don't have them I think I can get some from a buddy.

yea I was looking at the interior if the EL and there is no possible way to mount a double din DVD/stereo. So that might not work for me. Stupid stupid design Acura very stupid

myron when doing the headlights i suggest the use of a heat gun not the oven, using a heat gun will aloow you to focus more on the joints and clamp each clip, one at a itme to ensure a proper seal, i used little to no aftermarket silicone the second time i did my lights and no condensation , call me ill come help if im not working

Is there any difference between the Depo tail lights and OEM? I wanna get rid of these ugly all red ones. Depos are like 130$ and OEM are 230$ Worth the extra hundred for oem? I had Depos on my BMW and they were a perfect fit but I've read that some don't sit flush on the TL.

From what I've heard, it's a hit or miss thing. Sometimes people get a good set of depot lights, sometimes not.

Crap forgot about this thread for a while.

@Myron - Yeah if you could get some clamps that would be awesome.

@Justin - I'll definitely see if you're available when I figure out a day that Myron and I can tackle the project.

@Quyen - Welcome! Post some pics man! I really like the styling of the 2G TSX. An a-spec kit really sets that car off.

@Ricky - Yeah Myron and I had the same issue. Just go to the dealer and buy that little o-ring for about $2. Here's the DIY thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/diy-105-power-steering-whine-fix-754586/

Yea I think that's the "O" ring on the power steering pump. I changed mine and put some amsoil power steering fluid in there, fixed the problem. That was in March when i did this and steering was smooth and no problems. And a buyer took the car in for an inspection and they told him that power steering fluid needs to be flushed for some reason. They seemed really dumb. Said half of my lights didn't work, DRL, license plate, reverse. And when i turned the car on they all worked.

On that note, TL is sold, got the money last night, new owner took the keys, I am carless now haha

And if anyone is interested in my suspension, progress springs and tokico blue shocks, PM me. I have no use for it and suspension is in decent condition. I have had no problems with it what so ever. Only some of the paint is flaking off the springs but they still work great.

Did the buyer take it into inspection at an Acura/Honda dealership or private? Half the lights don't work even though they do when you turned them on? Sounds like one half assed inspection to me.

Did you get a good price for the TL? Are you selling the wheels to Justin? No Acura EL?

It was a private inspection at some shop downtown. I don't know wtf they looked at when inspecting this car. But besides that it also said "OIL DIRTY". So I changed the oil for him.

I am checking out some preludes this weekend, one today actually. And waiting for some return emails and calls for a few other ones. Might be in a silver prelude soon
