Yes u do ^, A 2G TSX with aspec kit was actually my second choice behind getting a 3G TL. If only they were the same price it would be a toss up to which one I'd be driving at the moment lol.

Asking a bit high but damn this is a rare color in Canada. I've never seen this red one rolling around the city but it is definitely rarer than KBP. From my understanding MRP TL-S's weren't even sold in Canada.

there is a meet every Friday in the United Cycle parking lot. And there will be a Season Closer soon, not sure when, Late october I think.

To upload pics you have to host them on a website first. photobucket.com works for me. Then you can just copy the image direct link and paste it here.

Haha it's under wraps for now because I don't wanna jinx it :P a hint is that it's still Japanese, luxury, and I'll be taking a huge power bump. Arthur don't spill the beans! Haha he's the only one that knows because I leaked it out awhile ago when we were talking about future plans

Let's see your new wheels and drop Justin!

Here's what I've been up to lately in terms of detailing.

BMW Jet Black E46. This is the worst black to get for BMW. Most BMW paint has hard clear coat yet for some reason this one is stupidly soft. It's as bad as Subaru paint.

50/50 Hood Shot

50/50 Rear Driver Side

50/50 Driver Door

This was the case for the entire car. It took two days for the interior and exterior.
A longer write-up can be found here

2006 Evo IX RS. This is a DD and track car. Running on Nitto NT01 slicks and volks, like a boss. For you WDP owners, this is what your paint most likely looks like under the proper lighting in the non-corrected side of the 50/50 shots.

50/50 Hood Shot

50/50 Rear Driver Side

50/50 Trunk

Washing the car at night with spotlights

End Result

Longer write-up can be found here

That's one sharp looking TSX. Well done on the purchase.

I'd remove that Southview Acura dealer plate though. It's not like they're paying you to advertise for them

Hello, I do drive it alot as its my only transportation but i do live in mill woods. Not sure if you were the one with the video of your car doing a drive-by of your exhaust, but the place you drove by happens to be where i go to church. It would be nice to meet up with everyone sometime before the snow falls. Thanks for the comment on my ride, more mods to come eventually haha.

hey guys I'm new to this site. I drive a 2g Tl type s. But I'm thinking of buying a 3g. I just wanted some suggestions, I've read a lot about them and they seem to have alot of weird problems like rattles, cracked dashes, and recalls. Just wanted your guys opinion whether its a good car, and have you guys here in Edmonton had any problems with your Tl? In my Tl I know they had a lot of transmission problems and mine got replace under recall, do the new ones have any issues with auto trannies? I'm looking to buy soon so any comments would help, thanks!

I just sold mine only because I needed cash. if I wasn't in the situation I was in now, I would have kept it for at least 3 more years. AnD I owned it for 3 years before I sold it. It was a solid car, there were some creeks and rattles like any car gets with age. I would never say that would be something that would turn me off this car. And I was lowered for at least 2.5 years and rode lowered on 19s this summer and ride was still good.

I can't say about auto trannys because I had a 6 speed but auto tranny failures are about 90% less than on a 2G. I can't say many bad things about this car.

Post some pics of the 2G? I have a 99 TL as my daily right now

Hey everyone, really new to acurazine but lets hope things go well here! I'm on 780tuners.com more often. I recently picked up a 3G Acura TL and I am loving every bit of it!

Type-S Vtect, I've never had any problems with my car. I've owned in for about 8 months now. There are a couple of rattles here and there but I don't think it's a big deal. Also, you won't like the subwoofer especially on cold temps. And try not to get tan interior, they are hard to maintain.

ArenHam, welcome!

Haha agreed the subwoofer is weak sauce. A few rattles here and there but for the major ones, they're solved in the DIY's provided. As for cracked dashes, I believe that is only a 2004 issue but don't quote me on that.

For the transmission, there is plenty of preventative maintenance you can do. There is the 3x3 ATF flush and replacing the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches. I've done the 3x3 ATF flush and it definitely made quite a difference. My shifts got a bit notchy and rough but after the fluid flush it became a lot smoother. I'll do the pressure switches in a few months when I can purchase them in the states since they charge an arm and a leg for them locally. For 3G type-s's there is one extra switch that needs to be switched.

I had one of my TPMS monitors rust on one wheel but I got that replaced. I doubt it's necessarily a 3G problem, it could probably happen to any car that has TPMS equipped.

My main issue at the moment is a sensitive door sensor on the passenger side. Whenever I take a hard left turn my car makes the "ding" sound you hear when you open the door and my interior lights turn on. I previously had it replaced at Honda which alleviated the problem temporarily but it has returned yet again. This is a known problem with the 3G platform but much more common with the type-s's and 07-08 models.

All in all though, I enjoy my car and find it is a great balance between sport and luxury.

@Arenham - Welcome! Nice to see you joined! Did your buddy pick up a TSX yet?

Thanks a lot guys! I feel welcomed already! My TL right now is pretty much stock but I'm looking into putting a cold air intake in before winter hits, anyone know of any good ones? Preference over K&N, AEM or Injen?

@v|nsan|ty haha not yet, he'll hopefully pick up his TSX in the coming weeks!
