Good luck on the sale. If it doesn't go through, we should have another meet before winter hits us.

Haha yeah this meet didn't seem to have the organization the last meet had. There were a lot of random cars here and there.

Here's what me and my buddy were working on earlier today. The exhaust on this thing was deep.

Lol meh I'm still not a fan of the type-s aspec kit. As you can see in the pictures I just posted, the KBP I worked on has the full a-spec. I really don't like the front end. The rear looks good and the sides flare out just a bit more which I'm fine with. I mean for the $800 I would spend to get the kit, I think I'd rather put in a couple more hundred and get coilovers. Winter would be hell for the front end, especially with the a-spec. Good thing this owner doesn't winter drive it. He is considering to sell it too.. Original owner

^ yea I am with you Vince, that front end is just too bulky. I think that base front fitted on the type s would ne much nicer. And you don't need a couple more $ on top of that 800$ for coils, you can get good coils or 600$+ shipping.

Which coilovers go for $600?

I was looking at these ones, https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/bc-racing-coilovers-%40-throwdown-performance-813604/
They go for $1000 shipped in the states, then I would have to pay for install too. Would I need to get any other parts when lowering? I don't know too much about dropping a car.

here you go. I guess it's not shipped but I am sure you can find some lightly used ones shipped for the same price. http://www.heeltoeauto.com/Function-...-pr-65757.html

it depends how low you wanna go. For a TL they say it's good to have a camber kit if you go lower than 2"

Today, I saw a SSM 3G TL lowered with TL-S tails, as well as blacked out base TL rims and front grill.

yup. Apparently there is a way to do it if you reach from under the car but I found it to be a major pain in the ass so I just too off the bumper. Bumper is pretty easy to take off actually.

Are you finally doing your grill?

there is a set of wheels for sale on 780: http://forums.780tuners.com/showthre...x8.5-and-18x10

I think he's asking way too much for the condition of the wheels considering the condition so I would low ball him. Thought I'd post if anyone is interested, it would be a nice project over the winter. Maybe do something like Sanjay did to his type s wheels.

holy shit, your car is definitely modded. lol. I noticed your TL-S brembo calipers and drilled rotors. Then I got confused when I saw the AT shifter. Where did you get those brembos? Is it expensive to swap them? Do you have a stock diameter pulley? How many kms on it?

got those brembo's used off a crashed TL-S, yes it is abit more pricy than doing a aftermarket BBK, but the parts availability is much better.I do have the stock diameter UR pulley, i have 111,000km on it. most of my mods were done years back so it goes to show you get what you pay for and these parts are lasting in our climate!

if you are interested i have a thread that lists all the parts req'd to do the swap, its not just a caliper on caliper off job. it req's abit of work and lots of little bits and pieces to make it look and work like original. the thread is from a while back so you might have to do some diggin. but if my memory serves me correct it was sticky'd by mods

I definitely understand the availability of the parts if I decided to get a BBK. Mine is a 5AT too so I got uber jealous when I saw your Brembo rotors and drill/slotted rotors. Aren't you going to buy PCDs? A-Spec kit?

Anyone here tried to put XLR8 Performance quad tip exhaust on a base TL? I love the sound of that and want it on mine. So just wondering what needs to be done?

Those quad exhausts can be bolted directly to the base TLs. However, you need to retrofit a TL-S rear A-Spec to your rear bumper. Read this thread and you will know exactly what to do. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/e-121-diy-installing-type-s-aspec-rear-lip-base-tl-bumper-709992/

I can let you hear mine but I have a couple of bolt ons that changed my exhaust note.

Of course i remeber you myron, hahah yupp we didnt even know we raced each other till afterwards. Havent been there in a long time, i purchased a rotax DD2 kart at stratotech earlier this year and have been racing that and i track my motorcycle alot too. Thats why ive been neglecting my car. C63 is my next car im pretty sure, unless if honda/acura comes up with something good soon. And by that i mean a nice sedan.i got a 4G tech TL for a month or so. Didnt really like it as much as our gen. Thats why i started looking at german cars.

^Haha. It must be really fun to go out to the track and road race. Someday, I will try to do some of those, but not with a daily driver. I can't afford to get my daily broken especially now I'm at school.

@iChinese - I would do a 3x3 flush instead of just 1 flush. There are a dump load of threads on the reasoning behind this so I won't get into it. I went with amsoil since the factory Z1 is inferior in comparison.

@Ricky - I'm glad someone took the time to document how it's done for 07-08 models. I'll have to get on this since my shifts have gotten noticeably rougher. I did a 3x3 ATF flush which helped immensely but I probably need the switches changed out.

@Myron - Oh damn is it getting sold? Or are you returning it to stock to attract more buyers?
