hehe. I hate those punks in their LEX-I. Good kill.
I'm taking my car to the insurance company tomorrow. Is there anything that the insurance doesn't cover? Like the dash, seats, anything I should know? I hope I get some money so I can get a big tv for christmas. JK.

And yes, it's always a great kill to take someone who's messing with you . . thinking they are going to whip you.
I hope you get you car fixed without too much pain and that nothing will be sacrificed . . . such as the seats and such that may have unseen damage or damage that may not show up for a while. Especially if you have heated seats.

the stock headers and air intake crap weighed quite a bit, so swapping that stuff out for lighter equipment helps i think. an empty tank and no spare/tools had me weighing in at around what danny said. same speeds, too -- 96 to 97.

That is comparing to my last Dyno and what I would expect. I get 190 which seems a tad high. The artical states that chassis dynos normaly underestimate toque and power. Anyway its a good guess and cheaper than going to a dyno.

It sure is hard to keep up.
Sorry about your car, Funkeetown. That sucks big time and I would be pissed for a year. Damn...no respect.
RUF--you are a hero to me. Sneaking in a race with the wife and kids in the car...too funny!

The stereo sounds great (to me, anyway, and that is what counts). The only issue is the rear speakers which sound poor compared to the fronts. As long as they are just used for mid-range fill, they work great. If I wanted a better system, I would upgrade those to the Infinity reference speakers with the separate tweater. That makes a ton of difference in the front and would be great in the back for a better system. But it is perfect for me--I don't need better rears because I am always in the drivers seat (and if I wasn't, I wouldn't be listening to music)!
The basslink is perfect for what I want--and it is put in with a three way plug for the power that is a quick disconnect, the lines in are two RCAs, and there are two main screws that hold the unit in place. Removal is easy if I need to reduce the weight by 20 pounds sometime. I can still get to my spare easy, as well (without removing the sub/amp). I am happy with the bass.
The rear door panel needed a little trim work on the inside--the tweater wouldn't let it sit flush but that was easy to fix.
The sound control is really intense and I haven't had time to sit down with the instructions and work out all my settings. That will happen someday...
Overall rating--very pleased!

Just an FYI, if you ABSOLUTELY bored, come on out to Richardson (you can call me for directions) and witness the all popular SR swap. My buddy is putting an S14 SR20DET into his 95 240. Should be interesting and the car should run like no other when it's done!

glad that stereo install went smoothly Inferno, I don't know how long I would last without one. Sounds like a good setup, not neighborhood waking, but just perfect for you.

They are starting tonight and they are spreading it out over the next number of days... the physical motor should come out tonight and the new one should go in shortley afterwards.... that's ironically the easy part... it's just wiring everything up that's the difficult part

Just Google-checked on that engine -- what's the deal with 'S14' 200SX's from 94-98? I don't remember that model being out.
220HP / 203 TQ in a 2600 lb car must have been really fast. I didn't know those were out there back then!
You guys gonna push the boost past 8psi?

The 200sx is the name of the 240sx in other countries like in europe... a 240 and 200 are both Silvia's with different names...
The 240 has a KA24DE motor in it.
The 200 and Silvia's have an SR20DET. He's swapping THAT motor into it because it's turbo

Sounds like a sweet swap. BTW, that is the standard swap for the 240. The KA24 is basically a truck engine while the SR20 is a performance engine that they got in Japan. Good luck and have fun!

Still not a bad educated guess.

Man, I would have had time, but didn't get this message until late.
Maybe we can get together sometime next week or before New Years.
