i guess i'll have to help you out, upping the count

i'll be up for another meet, and yeah, it'd be better if it was after may10, when my semester of hell is over.. lately, i've been going to extra class sessions saturday morning cuz our teacher is so stupid, and our class is waaaay behind. he comes to class unprepared, takes 10minutes doing a sample problem, and later finds out he messed up somewhere, so he re-does it again, and you wonder why we're behind... btw, he works at TI full time, and teaching is only a side thing.. (not that i'm knocking on TI people.. i sorta hope to work there someday)

anyways, i live close to 75&635.. belt line in fact and so does casper
just let me know where's the meet...

whohoo, new page.. i get to pop in another sig again

I kinda feel bad, I went over to the Sacramento board (just for a little look) and all their posts are actually about the CL! Kinda seems like we're cheating...oh well.

Hey, did one of you guys call me last night? Jeff, was that you? Dude, I was fucked up(and still am). The music was too loud where I was.

Anyway, did you ask me something about Ennis? Please refresh my memory as I'm a bit dull this morning.

Am I in line for the new tranny club?

This morning I was just cruising in 4th at about 40, and ~1600rpm when my car kinda shudders and jerks for a second. It was too fast for me to check to see if anything happened to the revs, but it sure didn't feel right. I think this has happened before too, but I wasn't paying enough attention at that time to be sure, but now I'm sure I didn't cause the shudder.

I know I'd probably get more response in the car talk forum, but I'll start here.

Danny, it doesn't sound good dude. That's kinda how my car was acting before I took it in.

Jeff, they normally have it every weekend. But if something special is going on, then they won't have it.

Here is the schedule in case ya need it.

Hey Hanzie, you wouldn't happen to know anyone that could write a few things in Chinese script for me. I've wanted a tat for a while and I know what I want, but need someone who can actually write in Chinese to "draw it up" for me.

eh... i've looked, and no one really does, surprisingly. At first I wanted a small drawing of a turtle, and I could see the design in my head, but could never draw or describe it so that anyone could understand. So I thought I would have "Green Turtle" written in Chinese between my shoulder blades, but no one has that. I figured that was simple enough, but I guess not.

BTW. the reason I want "Green Turtle" is because my favorite color is green, and my favorite animal is the turtle. Just so yall didn't look at me too crazy like.

Thank goodness your favorite color isn't red, that would just be a weird looking turtle.

hahaha, i actually love the irony. my favorite color is not green because of turtles, and my favorite animal is not the turtle because of the color green....... just luck i guess..... or whatever you call it

BTW our post count is still beneath the sacremento thread, but our view total is higher.......

I can see green, but why the turtle? Why not a llama, or penguin, or baby cow or somethin'?

there's only two explinations i could ever come up with to explain that.......

1) a few of my friends that i've known for forever call me that as a nickname. they say i look like one...... whatever.

2) i love the sea and the ocean and all the life below. the sea turtle just always seemed to be my favorite. i got a scuba liscence just so that i could actually spend time in their environment. that and it's freakin trippy to hang upside down and not get a head rush. playing guitar on a fin upside down sounds wierd, but it's funnier than shit below the water.....

Hey I was just reading this post over in the car talk area...
http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...407#post756407
You can regester to drive Bimmers to raise money for cancer research. I called the number Shawn posted and got registered for one at Moritz BMW on Collins and i-30 on April 26. If you all want to do this at your local Bmw dealership I suggest you call soon. The Moritz dealership was all booked but they take walk-ons so I'm gonna try it.

Hey TypeS_Clark, since you live close by, want to give it a try Fri.?

Heh, I got a 22 today on the golf game. I e-mailed my customer service rep today... here is the reply I received.

Subject: Re: Any New News?

Hey Aaron.
Sorry haven't heard anything yet. Typically in these situations there will be no notification as to schedules on special orders from Japan. This sucks really because I'd like to keep my customers informed. Even Dazz the importer will have zilch for information, they just fax the order to Japan and wait. We tell people 60-90 days just from our experience and what Dazz tells us. I know you're frustrated but hopefully good news will arrive shortly.

The pic/link you sent to me before...looks like 18's and i don't think it was lowered so although it looked cool your setup will be totally bling'n...no comparison.

Feel free to chime in and I'll keep you posted the first I get any info.

Thanks,
Jim

That sucks! They've had your money for 2 months?!? That's some bad service . I ordered some shoes the other day and was pissed off it took 5 days. I hope for your sake they come soon, I'd be going crazy if my order took over 2 months.

I almost got a 21 on mini-putt, but I screwed up the windmill hole with a 3 and the last hole with a 3 and got 25. I usually get a 1 on both those holes. But I know...didn't happen, so it doesn't count.

I got back from that BMW Ultimate Drive thing a few hours ago. That was a good way to spend 3 hours . I drove 7 cars: 330ci, 330ci vert, 330xi, 530i stick :wackit:, the new 745, an X5 4.4, and a Z3 2.5 stick. Now I know what all those car mags are always taking about, that I-6 growl is music. And it's so nice to feel the rear gently sliding in behind you when you take a corner aggresively.

I'd forgotten how much faster sticks are, or atleast how much faster they seem to be. I had no idea the Z3 was "only" the 2.5L until I got out and looked at the back. And the 530 was sweet with the 5spd, it had power almost everywhere in the rev range.

The steptronic system, or whatever they call their sport shift, is pretty much like ours with regards to the speed of the shift. But it likes to shift for you way too much. If I wasn't really steppin on it, it would up shift for me way too soon:shakehd:.

The new 745 is cool, but way too big for me. I did like the new tech though. "I drive" is pretty cool, and not that hard to learn the basics on, like the stereo and climate control. And speaking of the stereo... almost all the cars had the best stock set up I've ever heard.
