Okay, okay,
Mantis now has the "offical" fastest time in the group and possibly the DFW area.
But only because I wasn't there. :P And as soon as Inferno gets those hot wheels he'll be whipping up on me for a change. :P
And yes yes yes . . . the sound of the Icebox is sweet.

Well, I didn't get to the track, but I did get out and play a little bit.
On the menu Saturday night was a Lexus SC430.
We went at it 4 times and I took all 4 without any problems. Other than I hit the rev-limiter 3 of the times. :rolleys: I must have been too excited to finally catch up with a top end Lexus I just couldn't control my self.
Anyway, I took him twice from 50MPH, once from a dead stop and once from 30MPH. The ones from 50MPH were the closest with me pulling just about a car length to 90MPH.
As you guys would have guess, I ate his lunch off the line. I pulled him a car length by time I hit 40MPH and by 70MPH I had him by almost 1 1/2+ car lengths.
On the menu for Sunday afternoon was a 3.5 V6 Altima. The dude didn't know who he was jackin with. Since he started it, I finished it .
The guy wouldn't play from a start or from 30, so I settled for 3 runs around 45-50MPH. Well, he was quick, but not quick enough. Seemed easier than the SC430, but because of a slightly twisty road I had to watch the road more and could look back in my mirror long enough to see how I was pulling away.
So while this wasn't the drag strip, it was good fun as 2 of the competitions fastest cars went down.

But i let her cool off and started up and started kickin. Emily said she would go again when it got warmer. The only good thing about that is she wont be wearin soo much clothes haha. She was the Big Marshmellow!

Good kills, Ruf. I've read about CL-S's going against the SC430's and doing pretty well. I can't believe how heavy those beauties are for their size. Must be the convertible and loaded-up features.
Only cars I ever see wanting to play seem to be 1999+ Mustangs. I typically leave them alone.

As for the 99 and newer Stangs, go ahead and play. With your mods you should be able to hang with the stock ones. Especially if the driver is slow. I've played with several and most were close races. I even managed to beat a couple who could launch their manuals.
Remember what you learned at the track, specs mean nothing in a real world race. It all comes down to the driver.

360, you wouldn't happen to have been in town because of a pool tournament would you.....?
I saw a silver CL (didn't stare long enough to see if it was type S or not) with reflective tint and it looked dropped at the North American Challenge Billiards Tournament. I'm just curious because most of the true mod crazy ppl in dallas that own Acura TL/CL's have at least once posted here.
Oh well, I did crappy in the tourney as expected, but that's what I get for not playing for a number of months.

I'm down for Friday boys. I've got a lot of frustration from this weekend built up and speed usually can calm me down .
On top of playin bad in the tourney, my car got towed from Lower Greenville Saturday night! I must say that walking out to your car and having it not be there is a very scary feeling.....
But needless to say a couple of hours and $186.06 later, I had my car back in my possession.
In short, let's go racin on Friday!

I hate those towing bastards!
Those idiots towed my car from my apts and I didnt' realize it until a month later. Needless to say, I let them keep the car because they wanted $745 fuckin' dollars to get my car back. Man, I'm still pissed about that one.

The only down side is if only a few of us show up. So check back and then decided.

It takes me 45-50 mins with no traffic and longer with.
Inferno is 10-15 minutes further north than I am, so it would tak him 55 mins to an hour.
Note: I live in Plano and Inferno lives in McKinney. Not Dallas. Dallas is 20 miles from where I live.
