I've got a 160. My music/video collection is much larger than 80GB, but hasn't hit 160GB so that model is perfect for me.

Not for quite a while. January at the very earliest. 16GB of flash memory is very expensive still (Apple is able to keep the price of the 16GB touch down because they're the largest purchaser of it around). 32GB solid state drives currently run over $400 and still aren't compact enough to fit in an iPod Touch. When it comes down to it, you really don't need that much, as much as you can claim otherwise.

Damn that sucks if it's gonna take awhile

Well it depends on the person as to whether they need that much space. Personally, i've taken up half of my 60gig ipod (no videos). I'd jump on a touch if it had 32...guess i'll wait!

Sure my 40GB iPod is totally full of music (80MB free) but really, when are you going to listen to several days worth of music without connecting it to your computer? It's nice to carry it all with but it's far from necessary.

i have the nano, but at times, especially when i'm traveling, i do wish i had an ipod so i can have more of a selection. and even though i take my notebook when i'm traveling and i can update songs on my nano, it'd be nice to just have a larger selection there already instead of having to update songs frequently.

I mean, for now I am fine with the 8gb of flash, I can deal with not having my complete music collection.

But if you produce a larger one for my whole collection I will gladly buy it

Anyone know if Apple still gives a 10% credit on Ipods when turning in an old (and busted) one?

I've never heard of that. That'd be cool.
