*Not a ZAGG Invisible Shield promoter

But the con of having the shield is if I drop it, the shield does not absorb the impact. I was thinking about getting the shield AND the hard clear case. I've been comptemplating about it but it just seems over kill and I might get weird looks from friends

Speck Products Candy shell

Its all one piece goes on tight....inner is lined with rubber so no scratching the iphone. Outer is a hard plastic.

I've also read some reviews about people not liking their clear case because dirt was able to get in it and scratched the device.

I agree...I purchase a rubber/polyurethane cover for mine. I was told those were the best because they absorb the impact if the iPhone is dropped. Plus, the plastic cases are 2 piece cases. Which means that they split apart on impact. Plus the case itself can crack. All this does nothing to protect the iPhone.

I like my belkin silicone case. has nice grip so I'm never worried about dropping it.

My old iPhone I dropped a couple of times but honestly I don't think it ever really got a scratch from anything but my cases. I had a old

What I'm looking for now is a pouch with a drawstring like the ones Oakley shades come with. That way I can put it in my pocket with other stuff and not be afraid of it getting scratched, plus it won't catch all the lint in there, AND I'll have a dust/fingerprint cloth to wipe it with without it getting all marred up. I was thinking of maybe one of those small Crown Royal pouches but I don't think it'll fit

any products like that out there? I remember that had something for iPods which were basically an overpriced sock that you couldn't actually wear, which came in fruity colors. No thanks on stuff like that

remember the ol' saying about any electronics portable product with rechargeable batteries you should let the battery run out often before charging? Would you guys say this advice still holds true with the iPhone? I'm always plugging my phone in the charger whenever I can, even if it's got 70%... With phones in the past, the batteries weren't built in, so I always figure if the battery goes bad, I can just buy another off eBay, but the iPhone's is built-in... I don't want the battery to go bad because I'm constantly having it plugged in...

Lithium Ion usually don't have the memory effect issue. "Memory effect" means that if you don't discharge it all the way, the batter loses charge over time. This usually happens to Nickel Cadmium battery. Li-ion does not does not suffer from the memory effect BUT they do lose charge over time. I don't know the numbers on how much Li-ion loses its charge but I do know that my laptop battery lost half of its charge after two years.

SOOOO, I'm pretty sure the iPhone uses Li-ion since my old Samsung uses Li-ion. So don't worry about totally discharging it all the way.

I got yellow and black.

But they actually all look good in person except for the white/red.

I've gotten a lot of compliments on the case since I got it.

yeah, I was leaning towards the black/yellow too. I'll probably go with that...

I don't know why, but it reminds me of this

Is there any way I can turn down the keyboard clicking sound without turning the rest of the sounds down?

Yes, go into your Settings tab. Then under "General", there will be a Keyboard tab. Open that up to turn it off.

And the fact that it has 'Speck' written on it had nothing to do with your interest in it?

For the textfree unlimited app, do you still have to pay the carrier monthly fee? I think it's too good to be true to only pay a one time fee of $6.

Yea it's flash memory. 32gb in flash memory is easy to squeeze into small devices nowadays. The iPhone, in its current size, does not have enough room to have spinning platters.

He's younger but he's getting up there in size...

For what he uses a phone, he probably wouldn't notice a difference between the two. Coming from the crappy phones he's had, he'd be glad I turned him to the iPhone. I'll entice him with all the pre-installed apps/music
