Apple: iPhone News and Discussion Thread
I saw Monopoly was on sale for 99 cents picked up and ended up addicted and playing it ALL day
Then I saw Game of Life was also 99 cents...
Hasbro did a good job on these games, really fun.

I saw that. Hopefully this comes soon
I remember these posts so I'm a little hesitant. I know it won't break but I just don't need the headache unless it's something like OMG wow like the above.

Up before I jb. But that restore was months old. I'm not going to restore to some old ass restore. Besides I think iTunes overwrite it because it was so damn old.

iPhone 4 jailbreak enables FaceTime video calling over 3G

We'd actually already hacked up a 3G FaceTime video call using an iPhone 4 and a MiFi, but now that Apple's latest handset has been jailbroken, you can toss the extra hardware -- you just need a little Cydia app called My3G, which lets you run WiFi apps over 3G. FaceTime video quality appears to be unaffected, but from what we've seen the framerates suffer depending on your connection -- pretty much what you'd expect to get when running a video stream optimized for high-bandwidth connections on a smaller pipe. Still, it's instantly the best reason to jailbreak your phone -- check a video after the break.
P.S.- If you're averse to jailbreaking, remember that Fring lets you make video calls over 3G without any shenanigans -- and unlike FaceTime, you can also video call non-iPhone users. Just sayin'!

but this kind of thing's been around for a while... ie 3g unrestrictor
i understand, but you said you didn't wanna jailbreak because there seems be no reason to at this point, and facetime over 3g made you wanna do it
3g unrestrictor worked fine on iOS 4.0.0 if you didn't know, so no, it wasn't the recent update that enabled facetime over 3g

yea you are correct.. who knows
but my guess is that it probably does
you jailbroke yet? i can't believe how easy it is to jailbreak now compared to like old days...
as far as i know, 3g unrestrictor is very simple coding.. whenever app calls a function to check whether you are in wifi or not, it changes the return value so that iphone thinks it's on wifi

Also alot of people think that because it's based off a browser that it's potential to out in virus/malware into the iPhone.
Also I read some posts that 3G unrestrictor didn't work with FaceTime.
