my mms is still working. havent tried facetime yet. but i honestly really dont even use facetime. mainly because you have to have a wifi connection to use the damn thing. so it really wouldnt be the end of the world if it did. ive only used it a hand full of times any and that was because peopel thought it was cool and wanted to see it for them selves.

 

i have no issues on my jailbreak.. woot..

 

i think it'll pick up when more devices have it and you can do it over 3G.

If you JB, is there another source to get music videos besides the Apple store? I asked, because I'm currently pissed at the Apple Store. For my iPad, I buy two music videos at $1.99 each and one beeps out the word "shit" and the other "fuck." I mean come on Apple, I want the original video, not the Disney version. Their censorship ruins the songs.

 

Since music videos are mainly shown on TV which is censored I don't think they bother to make an uncensored version for the iTunes store. You're one of the few people that actually buys music videos, so they don't care about you or your requests

 

Um I'm a jb noob what source would I need to add to find that?

 

MyWi is $20 now but I don't it doesn't work with iPhone 4 yet.

OK, I finally got the essential update (it's what I was failing before) to cydia and rebooted and now things are working better. I can find mywi now.

planetbeing is reporting that FaceTime and MMS should be fixed for new jailbreakers. If you're having problems you should update Cydia and reset your network settings. If that doesn't work, restore and rejailbreak.

my brother tried sinful (free mywi), but he said the version is not supported for iOS4

 

modmyi. I don't mind paying for it, it's giving me more features and saving me lots of money so another $10 compared to $20 a month.

The new version which supports iOS 4 has some cool features that really cut down on battery life. You can reduce the wifi signal strength so it goes a shorter distance and uses less battery and you can use a status bar icon which cuts batter usage another 10-15%. It also tells you how much battery is being used right now, really neat! It's a must have app and definitely worth the $20.

Three options...

-You can drop your .ipa into iTunes and sync if you have AppSync from Cydia.
-If you don't have AppSync, you can SSH the .ipa into your Installous downloads folder and go into Installous on your iPhone and install it from there.
-Download the older version through Installous and install it.

If you haven't done it yet then don't worry about this step since it's already fixed in the JB that's live on the site now.

 

I think they also dropped it because according to engadget they couldn't reproduce the death grip. On the phones, the bars dropped but the calls didn't. However, I think on the Droid X or one of the HTC's, the data did slow down with death grip.

Glad to see jb'ing is an option. Other than free apps and updatable themes, is there other reasons why I should do it?

I read through the apps. Some of them are pretty cool I guess and some you still have to pay for unless someone throws them on a torrent. I'm used to the Apple multitasking, is Backgrounder that much faster and better? I already have a wallpaper I want. I have ringtones and I don't care that much about the SMS beeps. I don't want a live wallpaper. Like what apps that I might not know about would give me a good kick in the ass to do it?

I jb'd my new iPhone 4 last night. Installed MyWi, and my 3.x license not only transferred over, but it also licensed 4 for me. Score. Installed Scrobbl, and that is it for Jailbreak app installs. Stoked to have these essential items on it

Yes. But I also pay for ALL my apps. I don't JB to steal stuff
