What if you don't use WIFI on your desktop and only use a wired connection? So far I've tried syncing 3 times when my MBP is connected to an ethernet port, no go. but when I turn on Airport, it works just fine.

I hope that this isn't the case.

yea, that's what I've heard and read, it should work so long as the device is on wifi but your computer is on the same network either via wifi or wired connection. but my iPad can't seem to find my MBP and reports that "Sync will resume when [computer-hostname] is available".

 

Nevermind, I think I just realized what the issue may be for me at work. Our Wifi is on a different subnet than our wired connectivity which is probably why it cant find my computer when my computer is using a wired connection.

i think i just bricked my phone.

tryed updating to ios5 through itunes and now i have this error... The IPhone "IPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3200). The phone only displays a usb wire pointing to an itunes logo and it wont boot =/

Any suggestions anybody?

 

Slim chance. I know some have gotten theirs early but Fedex has been instructed to hold them for delivery until the 14th.

 

A few people have been complaining of the same error code. The likely reason right now is due to Apple's servers being swamped. Restore again until it works.

SIRI will only work on 4S....for now...

The notification screen works the same as SBsettings screen, swipe on top, top to bottom.

Siri is only for the 4S. Pull down on the clock to view the notification center.

Ok, duh, doesnt work from Lock Screen.

 

You can't slide down from the lock screen. You can slide across notifications or clear them, but you can't access the notification center on the lock screen.

It's just an annoyance until it is able to get it into restore mode then drops it, and you have a useless phone until the servers stop pukin.
