I've never heard of Brokenstones.
And the 13" is just fine (thats what she said)
Oh and this new 10.6.7 update is sweet. I can use almost any ATI 5xxx or 6xxx card thanks to the new drivers. Time to update the Hackintosh.

i was looking at the mpb's at the apple store the other day. i'm pretty sure that the reason the 15 and 17 look huge is because the screens are longer vertically, they look like they're 16:10 and the 13" looks like a 16:9. this was just my guess glancing at them and playing with them for 5 minutes.
Not really, it's just a matter of keeping track of any possible hardware conflicts that the updates might cause.
Certain Intel processors like the Atom work fine on 10.6 (Snow Leopard) but beyond the 10.6.2 they don't work. Same with certain graphics cards.
The goal is to keep your machine as similar to a Mac Pro as possible. So i3/i5/i7 processors using specific Nvidia or ATI graphics cards. The main thing is the motherboard. Gigabyte motherboards using H55 or P55 chipsets are almost always compatible, same with their built-in audio and networking.

I love mine, it is VERY quick/responsive. Battery life is excellent, 8 to 10 hours with wifi.
well I was wondering if you were always a windows guy, what made you switch to mac. I've been in the situation before where I've considered it and its been basically for multimedia purposes, I think Macs are better for photo, video and music editing. but i haven't done it (yet...).

I just replaced the hard drive in my 24" iMac. It was much easier than I expected. I had a hiccup with the iSight cable since I forgot about it and accidentally ripped the connector off, but it wasn't difficult to reconnect the cables.
The author of that article is right about getting the lcd and the glass panel clean. I dusted and dusted and wiped and wiped and there are still dust specs inside the glass.

Do it.
