Also, here's a Transformer 3 theme for MIUI. Looks a little busy for me but others may like it:

I just couldnt resist FREE... LOL... my son will get either the nexus or my evo eventually...he is just so damn hard on phones... I will ML put a tablet on one of my lines and add the next big thing that sprint has to offer to the other... wish I coulda gotz the Atrix, but oh well... such is life...
I will have to see... I dont know that this will replace my main phone.... maybe just change things up for me... will have 2 open lines laying around in a month or so... who knows... kinda crazy my way...
Finally! Been waiting for something like this. Evernote just bought Skitch today and released Skitch for Android for free and it integrates into their app!
https://market.android.com/details?i...vernote.skitch

Here's a video of what Skitch can do with a Mac:

If you've never used EverNote, think of it as an alternative to Microsoft's OneNote. What's great about it is that your notes sync to every device you own no matter where you created it. Gonna have so much use for this especially with my Transformer and its keyboard dock.
I also bought a capacitive stylus which works pretty well for handwriting notes and drawing.

CM7 added screenshot option when you hold the power button and the menu to reboot your phone comes up, also you can have different backgrounds for lockscreen and home screen. Nice additions. I still want more customizable lockscreens like I get in MIUI lol.
Ohh and is there an app like the traffic monitor one in MIUI?? Where you can see how much data you are using for the month and all.

...so, I got an email this morning from Swype saying that there is an update. And to uninstall any versions I have... then launch the installer... but I keep getting errors
I can't go back to the regular keyboard
any advice?

I think Swype's server crashed after the update came out in the morning so you might've gotten a corrupted apk. Kinda weird that you can't change your keyboard though? Have you tried changing it in the Settings:
Settings --> Language and Keyboard Input Settings --> Input Method
Choose the Android Keyboard or whatever other keyboard you have. You can also long press and hold on an input box (text message) or in the browser url and change input method that way.
Try redownloading it again from their site.

Wow... this is a sick screen on this Nexus S.... color is incredible ... kinda weird with the slight bend in the screen... love the form factor ... posting from it right now... how's everything out there in Google land?
I think you should be okay to update since the Nexus S will be the last to be locked either by Google or Samsung since its a developer phone. And yes SAMOLED screens rock. It works even better if you enable Voodoo color (need root). That's why it was kinda hard for me to adjust to my Transformer's IPS screen although I'm liking it. Just wish it had the same saturation/contrast as SAMOLED screens.
ASUS released another 3.2 update for the Transformer today to fix some bugs and enable Netflix without the patch and root. They also now give you the option to switch between the circle cursor and the regular mouse pointer. I am now running my device at 1.4 GHz and I love it with no effects to my battery. (1.7 GHz seems to be the max but I haven't seen the need for it yet.) The keyboard dock works very well for this device and is very functional.

I let it sit all day on my desk at home and it went from 94 to 90% with the wifi on... that's intense standby!
Hows the battery life overall? I had to root that darn EVO to get it to last all day.... I must say it's nice having a Sprint rig without all of their crap on it!
Yeah bro.... had to hustle me one while BB had them for zero bucks.... now that's a best buy.. lol

By far MIUI has intense battery life, with heavy use i still had a good amount of battery left. I pull about 16-18 hours?? But the battery is quite low at that point
So no Galaxy S II for Verizon:
Source: http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/25/s...zon-after-all/
Not sure what Verizon is thinking considering the Charge looks
and doesn't have the dual core Exynos processor found in the Galaxy S II. They probably didn't want to downplay the Droid Bionic which is supposed to come out around the same time although giving the consumers a choice would've been a lot better.
We just heard from a Verizon spokesperson who confirmed the carrier will not be carrying the device, and offered the following quote: "We have a robust portfolio of devices that offer customers exciting options including the Droid Charge by Samsung which runs on Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network."

Someone came up with a script that pulls the Adobe Flash Windows version and pastes it into the Android Flash version. Doing this tricks websites you visit into thinking that you're accessing the site from a Windows device. Very useful for sites like Hulu since this is how they block out Android devices from accessing their content (Although Hulu Plus is out in the market):
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/2...ost__p__228782
Copy and paste the above code into a file and run it as a script using Terminal (sh filename) or an app like Script Manager. For noobs, its probably more user friendly to run it through Script Manager:
https://market.android.com/details?i...=search_result
You only need to run this script after every Adobe Flash update or every time you reinstall Adobe Flash.
The script is good until they update to version 11 and then you'll have to change one line of code as explained in his post.
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/2...ost__p__228782
Code:
wget http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ -O - | grep '10.' | grep -v 's' | uniq | cut -d '>' -f2 | cut -d '<' -f1 > /sdcard/version winversion=$(sed 's/\./,/g' /sdcard/version) andversion=$(cat /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/libflashplayer.so | grep 'AND 10,') echo "Replacing \"$andversion\" with \"WIN $winversion\"" echo "Will open the adobe test page on completion" sed -i "s/$andversion/WIN $winversion/" /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/libflashplayer.so rm /sdcard/version am start -a android.intent.action.VIEW -d http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html

The upcoming Droid Bionic:

Looks like its running pretty smooth and those LTE speeds.
Blur doesn't look fugly any more which is a plus but its still Blur.

The phone hit 25 Mbps down and 7 Mbps up. Seems to be the average people are getting on LTE.

http://www.phonearena.com/news/HTC-V...cation_id21591
1.5 GHz dual-core
1 GB RAM
HTC Sense 3.5
Adreno 220 GPU
1280 x 720 resolution
Beats audio
The specs are rumors at the moment but each day that passes by makes it more and more likely to be real. Also, the release date isn't finalized so if you need a phone right away and can't stand your OG Droid any more, then the Bionic is a good choice. If you can hold out a few more weeks and if the release date of Oct 6 is real, then I'd suggest waiting. I'm sure HTC will start leaking some more details around iPhone launch date to ease people trying to jump ship.

Any fixes for this fraking aggravating lack of a charge / missed whatever light on the NXS? Intangible... to not have a light of any kind... or am I just missing something?
It doesnt indicate charging i think, but for notifications like texts/missed calls and others
your lights for your buttons will turn on. Thats what I have.
Supposedly, the Samsung Hercules (Galaxy S II) is coming on September 9th. Samsung is holding an event on Tuesday to announce real launch dates for all Galaxy S II phones in the US. Was supposed to happen on Monday but Irene pushed it back.
What speedemon90 said. You get used to it after a while though. There's also the NoLED app from the market you can try out. Should br Nexus S compatible.

Go bln kernel route! Noled at least myself I didn't like. And I dunno if it keeps your screen on then. Which would kill battery. But its a ltl dot. Id rather have my buttons light up to indicate that I have a notification

I'm not sure which ones the one I did, the way I did it never unlocked my bootloader, but I didnt see that there, unless I missed it.
I'm guessing go with the 1-click way since that seems the easiest haha, I wouldnt know which ones the most popular method. But my way I kept having problems with my computer recognizing my phone and all that. But I also got it rooted without my bootloader unlocked, so not breaking any warranties
