Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX Ice Cream Sandwich update out.
Mash that check update button on your phone:

Someone will probably get it up on XDA soon enough but for now keep checking for that update if you want it. There also seems to be a Bionic ICS leak out there so its probably gonna be out soon for the Bionic.
I have no idea what the hell is going on in Australia, but Verizon just posted the support docs for the DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX Ice Cream Sandwich update. This almost always indicates that the update is days away from rolling out. I’d say that the June 22 and 27 dates we heard are definitely in play. The build number is 6.16.211 which leaked out 3 days ago.
Global roaming is included, a new video calling feature, new Smart Actions app, and a whole bunch of other goodies. Mostly though, it’s all about Android 4.0.4 and the complete makeover that Motorola’s Blur has received. It’s much less intrusive, but with enough add-ons to make it semi-appetizing. This is it, the update you have been waiting 7 months for.

Jelly Bean as Android 4.1?
And I’d say this about settles it. Jelly Bean will be Android 4.1, according to the Google Play listing for the Galaxy Nexus. We had all sort of assumed that 4.1 would be next, but now the question remains, “Will this be outed at Google I/O next week?” If Google is ready to talk about the G-Nex receiving it “soon,” I’d say that we should be surprised if it isn’t unveiled there.
Update: During checkout, the new thumbnail that shows up includes a picture of the device with that new glassy Google Search bar that we saw in from the IO app yesterday. It’s tiny and tough to make out, but this blurry blown up version gives you bit of a look:
Update 2: The checkout page that outed 4.1 as Jelly Bean has already been changed and no longer mentions it at all. Good thing we grabbed that screenie.

Looks like Jelly Bean will be what Gingerbread was for Froyo. Minor appearance updates with optimizations and such. We'll be finding out more next week at I/O.
Chameleon UI is coming to the phone.
So remember that Kickstarter for Chameleon? They had to restart their project because they had some issues with withdrawing the funds after reaching them and what not so they started it all over again. They've already reached their goal but they have a few more days before the project is done. They just released info that people who put down $5 will have an early access to Chameleon for the phone while also getting the Tablet version later on:

Update #2
This week Gabor discusses how we are working on supporting more tablet sizes and resolutions.
We also want to thank all of our Kickstarters for sticking with us, so make sure to check out the video for something special.
*Note - We have updated the Rewards section on the project homepage with details on the plan for Chameleon Phone.

Lol. Well the widgets are flexible and made using HTML5 so you can make your own if you like. You can resize all of them and place down as many/little you want on a screen. They have a good demo of it in the Kickstarter video. Personally, I think its a little too simple for my taste but I guess that's the beauty of Android. You can choose how simple or complex you want it to be.
Cyanogenmod 9 RC1 builds
Some CM9 RC1 builds are now available for certain devices:
http://get.cm/?device=&type=RC
Lots of Galaxy devices on there. A couple builds failed last night so I'm guessing they'll rerun those some time and will be added to that list eventually.

PGM Nexus (Slide2Wake)
Someone created an app that allows you to turn on/off your phone simply by sliding your finger on the screen and custom gestures:
Your phone needs root and the kernel must be built with the proper configuration to use it. Other phones besides the Nexus should be able to use it as well so long as they meet the kernel and root requirements. Battery use should be negligible cause it only runs when you're actually touching the screen. Currently the supported kernels include:

And then when i try signing in gtalk the authentication is failing. His pw has to be right since his contacts synced, but the market is not working, and he cant sign in to gtalk and so forth

Nexus 7 Specs:

So many leaks, the Keynote hasn't even started yet. lol. Alright I think I'm done posting for now.
The good golks at Modaco managed to grab screenshots for the sale page of the Nexus 7, replete with screenshots and specs. Turns out, the tablet has a 1280x800 IPS display coated in "scratch-resistant Corning glass," which we presume is of the Gorilla variety. Within its 198.5 x 120 x 10.45mm case lies either 8 or 16GB of storage, plus 1GB of RAM, and NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 3 SoC. Connectivity comes courtesy of GPS, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Micro USB, plus it's got NFC for all your Android Beaming needs. Rounding things out is the usual spate of sensors: accelerometer, magnetometer, and a gyroscope.

Jelly Bean is looking good.
Loving the gestures being implemented and all the new features they're bringing in. The Voice sounds awesome too. The new Notification features look awesome too. Its like putting widgets in the Notification bar.

If you're doing it through official updates then probably not. If you plan on flashing a straight up custom ROM like CyanogenMod then yes.
Nexus 7 on the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/device...d=nexus_7_16gb
Not sure if it includes a SD Card slot so keep that in mind. Still a few things I want to know about it so hopefully when the Keynote is over we get more info.

Looks like the Galaxy Nexus they're giving out today at I/O are getting Jelly Bean OTA. I hope someone rips it and puts it up on XDA tonight. I might have to flash back to stock just to play with Jelly Bean. lol.
I am big dumb on a lot of things including the software/firmware on cell phones.
In every day terms, are the flashes like putting a cold intake system on an Acura for 7 extra HP? Or is it more of letting the user modify their screens?
If I start to mod my phone, will something be better in placing calls, text, and connection to the net?
Thanks
