Uploaded about 2400+ songs. Finished early this morning. Also on the offline cache thing, it downloads the songs to your internal when you're on WiFi so that when you play the song again it doesn't redownload it. I had about 700 MB worth of MP3s after listening to my songs on my internal. There is an option to turn this feature off and you can find the MP3s in com.google.music cache folder on the internal SD and names them as #.mp3. Supposedly, it also deletes the songs when you need the space but I'm not sure how it knows. I have my cache cleaner deleting every 6 hours so I don't worry about these things.

ok, so instead of going back to stock I might use this rom called iceandfire, based off of CM7.0.3. The only thing I dont really like about switching between ROMS is that I have to do a factory reset!!
But I dunno if i can go back to stock, I just realized I'll be missing out on so many features!!

My battery lasts so long now... I dont even look at the % charged anymore...

Good job HTC. I can now recommend them again for people looking at Android phones. Screw Motorola!
"There has been overwhelmingly customer feedback that people want access to open bootloaders on HTC phones. I want you to know that we've listened. Today, I'm confirming we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices. Thanks for your passion, support and patience," Peter Chou, CEO of HTC

So google wallet was introduced, but for the NS 4G only!!! WTF!!! I feel so sad that my NS is getting left out One thing I am happy about the NS 4G is that Spring is actually advertising the phone which will bring more people to the NS and more devs and more ROMS and more goodness! Devs will have to work out how to get google wallet for the regular NS, if they can.
I am correct that its only the NS 4G thats getting the google wallet right??

Google’s new NFC payment solution, Google Wallet is cool to be sure, but as of now it only works with one phone, Sprint’s Nexus S 4G. T-Mobile users on who have the original Nexus S have been left wondering why they aren’t so privileged. Both versions of Nexus S models have the same NFC chip, but a spokesperson from Google has confirmed that they have not yet reached an agreement with T-Mobile, and until such an agreement happens, only Sprint’s version will be able to use Wallet.
Also, Google is planning to release a limited 1 credit card version to all other phones without NFC via NFC stickers:
Google doesn’t want a lack of NFC support in most devices to deter users from their Google Wallet payments service. At a Q&A sessions taking place after today’s announcement, it was revealed that Google will be issuing NFC-enabled stickers to users to facilitate mobile payment processing. The sticker can be placed on the back of your phone, though it doesn’t actually need to an Android handset to work. You won’t get the full-fledged Google Wallet experience, however. The sticker will be tied to a single credit card number, assigned by the user. With some finagling you could potentially have access to more accounts by tying the sticker to a Google Prepaid account (bonus: you get $10 of spending money just for signing up), which can receive deposits from various sources.

Loving Google music. The music upload takes a while, obviously depending on how much you upload. Just based of glancing I would say about an hour per 100 songs.

ALso why would google have to go through Tmobile? The technology is already on the phone

Here's an app that allows you to try to get Google Video Talk the noob friendly way for people who don't like flashing things through recovery. You will need root access:
https://market.android.com/details?i....talkinstaller
I personally haven't tried it because I like to do things manually so I know what went wrong. But for the noob friendly way of trying to get Google Video talk, try the app above and see if it works for you. Always make a Backup before you attempt to do this! The latest GTalk with Video by xillard allows me to use both FFC and Rear Camera on WiFi or 3G and is pretty flawless on CM 7.1 for the Galaxy S. The hack is hit and miss depending on which version you're running so its trial and error and the one with Google Frameworks will probably work the best. But try them all.

Amazon is supposed to have around 20 4G phones for free with a 2 year contract on Monday if you wanna wait for that. They're saying the new LG Revolution will be included in that deal as well.

^Great moddable phone. Learn how to root it and flash some custom ROMs. Plenty to choose from at XDA. Take a look at MIUI (iPhone like interface) and CyanogenMod 7.

Don't think it has Survival Mode either. I've been waiting for this game for the longest time so I'm a happy camper. lol. I've had the bootlegged Chinese version for the longest time but it was missing a lot of stuff.

Latest unofficial CM7.1 Nightly for the Galaxy S running at stock 1 GHz :
I'm not a Quadrant guy but the phone is definitely faster than stock Samsung Gingerbread and its not fully optimized yet. I think they were able to get 5300+ with the Nexus S running a 1.5 GHz kernel.

NoLED: https://market.android.com/details?i...=search_result
This is an application that runs in the background and show a notification icon on your screen. Its pretty customizable in terms of which icons you want it to show, what colors, etc. I haven't used it yet on my Galaxy S but some people are reporting it drains battery while others say it doesn't? Theoretically it shouldn't because the screen will be all black and on AMOLED screens, black = no power consumption. It also moves around so that it prevents burn-in on AMOLED screens.
BLN (Backlight Notification) by Neldar: https://market.android.com/details?i...=search_result
Unfortunately, this has to be baked into the kernel so unless someone makes a kernel or you know how to compile one, its not gonna happen. This method uses the capactive button lights to let you know when you have a notification. They stay lit and in some phones will flash until you open the notification. This one has less battery drain reportage compared to NoLED.
Tasker: https://market.android.com/details?i...=search_result
You could set up a task that will play a sound or turn on the screen or do whatever function you want with the phone every X amount of seconds, minutes, hours. This is a bit more complicated because you have to learn how to use Tasker and create the notification prompts.

There is no notification led on the G2X either. There is an app (Optimus 2X led notifications) that used the capacitive buttons, but it drained the battery way too much. The only times when no led notification was semi-annoying, was when you come back to your desk/table and left your phone sitting there and forget that there is no notification light. But, once you get into the habit of checking the phone periodically, it's not such a big deal. OTOH, it is nice to be able to glance at your phone and see if there is a message or not.

Ugh, I am hating the design of the Galaxy S phone. Why the hell did they put the speakers on the back of the phone? I've been missing calls and alarms because I faced the phone up, thus covering up the speakers and reducing its sound. Now I have to always place the phone facing down so that the speakers are facing up. Stupid design.
