Here's a more complete guide with APN settings on how to get it to work on AT&T and other GSM compatible networks:

I've basically run out of space on my GS3 haha. I have an extra card slot at home but i forgot it there

Its from a couple videos I took when I went snowboarding today and shooting in 1080p takes a lot of memory. Used 1gb, not sure how long the videos were. Cant be more than 10-14 minutes combined

Lol. I always thought you were from Riverside. Yeah Chino Hills isn't that far off. I'm usually in LA on the weekends cause my gf lives in K-town which isn't too far from USC. Everyone seems so close by now.

It varies. The home fix that everyone does is a reflow and that costs $40 but can last from 2 weeks to 2 years. A reball is more thorough and more costly. I know a place that does it with a one year warranty but that's $80 plus shipping which could be $50 total. I've already considered trading it in but all the PS3's cost $300 and I have to buy a 2nd one in a few months anyways.

Haha it was just funny when I was reading it and somehow my brain couldn't comprehend that it was a typo, but kept trying to make sense of it.... got worse when I decided to read it aloud.

Yeah I saw the meet info. Haven't decided if I'll go yet; depends on whether I have a job by then.
Jumping across a traffic filled highway from one end to the other was no fun. Felt like I was a cabbie in NYC.

The DNA's battery life is not terrible. It is just the same as most phones out there now that do not have the suffix: MAXX. It gets most people through a work day unless you have your screen on the whole day.

I'm liking the gestures capabilities of the new Blackberry 10 OS, but I sadly don't see great execution throughout the whole OS.

After using Google Now I never go onto the Nba.com site to check schedules. Shit is so cluttered that there were times when I overlooked the schedule and thought the Lakers weren't playing only to find out later that they just lost on the same day, bwaha.

So I've got a question that I haven't found a clear answer for.

I currently have a Galaxy S3 as a personal phone. Work wants me to have a work phone. I could continue to my personal number and have them pay the bill, but I want to keep my personal number separate from my work number. Is there a way where I can have them link both numbers to the same phone? What would also be nice is to be able to set the work number so that it would go straight to voicemail at night or when I am on vacation.

I currently have ATT and work is also under ATT. Another option is to get a second phone from them and carry both around. I'd rather avoid that.

Any suggestions or options?

We're probably neighbors. The new Diamond Bar library is nice. Not sure if you've been there.

Gonna have to agree with swoosh on this one. Google Voice should be able to do what you want and retain one device. They have their own Do Not Disturb mode I believe on their website which allows you to forward calls for a certain time that forwards those calls straight to voicemail. As for the not calling at night, just use the S3's built in Do Not Disturb setting. Using the Google Voice app, you can make Google Voice become your Voicemail so it tracks all you calls/voicemail in one box. It even transcribes it for you but that depends on how well people enunciate their words. Lol. You would need to give your work your Google number and then set up the app to ask whether or not to use your Google or ATT number to make the phone call. Note that this will use your regular minutes. The same happens when someone calls and it goes to voicemail as it acts as a forwarding service of sort if that makes sense.

^On top of that reason, I use it as my Voicemail because using a Nexus phone on AT&T doesn't allow visual voicemail on the wrong data plan. So I use the Google Voice voicemail. Its great now because Jellybean integrates the voicemails into the dialer so you don't even need to open the app any more to listen to them. Just check the call log and its there. The same goes for text messages. It goes straight to the messaging app and will respond using my Google Voice number if that person messaged me on Google Voice. It works great except no one really leaves voicemails any more.

EDIT: I should add that Visual Voicemail on AT&T requires a correct data plan such as the LTE plan or something like that. I'm still using the MediaNet plan and that's for dumb phones so that's why I can't use the Visual Voicemail AT&T provides. Either way, from what I've read, the AT&T Visual Voicemail sucks so I don't bother trying to set it up.

I remember when I got my GV number. I got a ton of harassing calls from the previous owner of that number one day later because I(Google) had apparently stolen his number. He was pissed. I gave him my 'Liam Neeson Taken treatment' and then had a good laugh and just blocked him forever. Good times.

Anyone know how to have a Do Not Disturb thingymajig on the Nexus 4? I think I can do it via Tasker, but just haven't had the time to figure out.

Lol. That's because the Google Voice number expires if you haven't used it after a certain time. I think its like 30 days or 3 months. The numbers get recycled because Google can only get so many.

As for the Do Not Disturb, Tasker can do it. Or you can download any of the free apps in the market. I've only had experience with this one:

Silent Time

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...lsZW50VGltZSJd

Although this looks better:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...GVlcC5mcmVlIl0.

If you use CyanogenMod or any of its variants its built in. Has been since Eclair as I remember it. Go into Settings --> Sound --> Quiet Hours. You can choose Notifications/Notification Light/Haptic Feedback and everything there.

^I forget, the downside to CyanogenMod's Quiet Hours is that phone calls go through. Not a big deal for me but for some people they don't want any calls coming through. You would have to use an app or Tasker for that. With Tasker you can make it ring with only certain phone numbers:

What would constitute a GV number being used? I just leave the GV app running ever since I got it and other than the voicemails, I rarely use it. Unless it is for some texting to people I don't want to give my actual number to.

I know it's ridiculously overpriced, but I'll most likely end up buying one or two of those Nexus Wireless Charging Orbs in a few weeks at $60 a piece.
The only other option would be the TYLT VU at $70, but that doesn't even come out till April.

Crazy how chargers are so high priced.

As long as you're logged in and have the app running I think you're fine. I don't use it besides Visual Voicemail and making phone calls from my laptop mainly. I had a backup/rarely used Google Voice number that almost did get recycled. That account I only logged in once every couple of months to test my phone usually when I flash a new modem or test ROM. I check to see if incoming phone calls work as I had some issues back in the Galaxy S days of missing IMEI number from flashing CM. (Backup your IMEI!) Either way I can't remember the exact number of weeks before they recycle the number but they do send out an email to notify you before it happens.

Yeah I don't get why those chargers are so expensive. I mean it looks cool and all but the parts inside probably don't cost more than $5. Oh well, I hope by the time I pick up a phone capable of wireless charging prices will drop. Have you tried the Nokia Fatboy chargers?

They should make a wireless charging mat for car use. That would be so convenient.

The Fatboy is $80 and at some places even $100. The cheapest I've seen it drop down to is $70. That's still higher than the two I listed. Yeah, it's nice as a pillow, but for that price, I might as well buy the coils myself and put it under an old pillow.

The new Toyota Avalon has a built in one.

There's a Korean company that has a wireless charging car dock thing. Couple of guys at XDA are in constant contact with them and we are just finishing with the final version for the N4. Everything looks good right now, but the aesthetics is up to each person to decide.

I've heard of it. Is it faster than the AOSP browser? I've used Naked, Tint, Dolphin, Firefox, Opera and I forget the other. I always end up going back to the AOSP browser though because of the gesture controls. Chrome Beta is also improved now compared to the regular version and I'm guessing its only a matter of time before its as fast as the others.

when you say "AOSP", you mean the original stock browser? If so, yeah... I think it's faster. It's free to use for 2 weeks, give it a try. Especially with pictures, it seems faster
