^^half agree and I don't miss the point....but I still don't like that he and the have-not mafia had influence on the trade. That's more of the issue for me. Its institutionalized Laker hate, manifested.
Bad trade or not, its a hell of way for the commish and small market owners (who the Lakers pay through revenue sharing) to treat the most valuable franchise, most recognizable brand, and most loyal of owners.
IMO, we were effed over, but Houston was effed over too...they had been planning this move with cap space, etc, for 3 years. Daryl Morey coveted Pau. They would have been a very well built team, post trade.

The Clippers/Hornets trade is one sided so far because Eric Gordon has said publicly that he won't sign an extension with the Hornets and Kaman is on the trade block and not playing so looks like the Hornets got screwed or should I say Sterned too.

^^yup...and the perceived 'steal' Pau Gasol was is in fact, almost equal value now. Marc Gasol is one of the centers that might be voted in by the coaches over his brother Pau now (Pau is listed as a center on the ballot, if I'm not mistaken).
Greg Popovich bitched about the Pau 'steal', and lo and behold, Marc and the Grizz beat the 1st place Spurs in the first round last year, without Rudy Gay.

I think you'll get your wish today. A lot of the Lakers on were saying they got into SLC at 430am last night. Not even into their hotel yet....delayed at Denver for de-icing the plane. Utah can probably beat em.

Last nights game Lakers v Nuggets was the Lakers starting five against the Nuggets starting 8. The refs tried so hard to give that game to Denver it was horrible from the phantom elbow from Matt Barnes that resulted in a technical foul, to all the non foul calls on all of the Laker players it was ridiculous. It just goes to show you that sometimes a really good team can overcome the refs throwing the game.

Hornets backtracking off of trading Kaman apparently no team wants a journeyman center who makes almost $14 mil annually.

I hope so too. You're right about the refs though. Usually our announcers don't complain about that, but last night, stu was saying the were missing calls all over the place.

Good stuff....followed him a bit through college, kid's got game and a good head on his shoulders. He deserves a spot on some team.
I think the Warriors let him go for financial reasons more than anything....

And I hope you mean the Clippers of yester-year... But in all seriousness, never been a clipper fan, but I've found every single one of their games entertaining this season.

JLin has went toe-to-toe with some good players though. He and John Wall went at it in summer league, and Deron Williams is considered an 'elite' point.
Jordan Farmar is certainly serviceable, even if his lateral speed straight sucks.
Still, he (JLin) couldn't have gotten into a better situation with than the Knicks.
What did the Warriors have an abundance of? Guards (Monta and Steph and others). He was buried under those guys.
For the Knicks, D'antoni's offense is point guard dependent. What does NYK lack? A point guard, at least until BDiddy comes back. Kudos to him for making the most of an opportunity. To do so on the Knicks at MSG, is an added bonus....imagine if he did this in a smaller town. I think it would be more quickly written off.

I'm one of the few that thinks Baron Davis is not the answer - he's lazy, prone to getting out of shape, is streaky as hell (in the negative way), and Dantoni's system requires a "Pass first" PG (aka Steve Nash) not a "shoot first" PG (aka Baron Davis and Westbrook).

...and I think he's way past his Warriors days....

Watching the Knicks game... Dude JLin looks legit against a solid Jazz team. At the half Lin has 9 pts, 7 assists (0 turnovers) and a steal.. and thats with Jeffreys and Chandler blowing 5 easy layups fed by Lin.

Mofo can ball. And oh, he graduated from Harvard. If this ball thing doesn't workout, I think he'll be fine in life, lol...

Lin had 2 good games and everyone is overly excited I haven't heard this much hype since Tim Tebow. There is a reason this guy didn't get a scholarship, there is a reason this guy has been floating around, there's a reason he was sent to the D league earlier this season. I give him credit for his good performances but I highly doubt this will last.
