Man ATL blew that game. Pierce blew by Josh Smith for an easy lay in after Smith had 2 monster dunks very late. Then JJ has some crappy play where he ends up taking the shot from super far and bricks it. Then single coverage on KG at HIS spot. Nice win by the C's. They're going to trounce the Sixers but should be interesting.

That Lakers/Nugs game was very entertaining. Nuggets have a fun style of play but LA will win 7. Well done Kobe. He would've played 40 if they weren't blown out at the end. The Nuggets were hitting everything. The first 11-0 intro run, you knew they were going to have that type of game.

I didn't get to see much of the Bulls/Sixers game. I feel badly for the Bulls because it could've been their year (ok I don't believe that) but I hate it when injury occurs. Yeah Watson made a boneheaded play but he thought he had the easy 2 points and they lost for many reasons. Why was Boozer riding pine late in the game?

I always believed that the Nuggets can keep up with the Lakers, if not beat them. No one else ever did. Actually, Barkley did, nevermind. We got chastised for thinking that. Where you at now?

This was the first game that Denver actually played decent as well. They've been pretty cold up to this point, even in their wins. Dre and McGee started to light shit up in Game 5, then the rest of the team finally followed after.

Bottom line is, if Bynum doesn't stop being a jackass and Pau chooses to disappear again, McGee and Faried are gonna make them their bitches and we'll snag the series away from Mr Potato Head's passionless, listless Lakers.

So by your own definition, the Lakers are beating themselves, not the Nuggets.

Meh. Series is over when its over.

So, did Bydumb cost his team the series potentially?

^^actually its been an overall lack an enthusiasm, adjustments made by George Karl, and an elbow by one Ron Artest (best player in the run up to the playoffs) that has allowed the Nuggets to tie the series to this point.

Oh and a manifestation of league-wide Laker hate in the vetoed trade CP3.

Barkley likes to pick upsets. He had us losing to Philly (I believe), Boston, Chicago, and Dallas last year. And I think Dallas was the one we were favored. Plus he picked us losing to Indy. I think it's more to rile up the masses. He doesn't really care if right or wrong.

I'll admit, yes it's mostly the Lakers' fault they're playing like scrubs and getting sandblasted. I wanna see what the game is like when both teams are on fire -- One of the most balanced, high-scoring teams in the NBA against a team laden with all-stars and a okay bench.

He likes to play devil's advocate. He picked against the Lakers in their championship years.

He's like Skip Bayless, except a bit more fun to watch.

I think one things for sure....they still made out better with the Melo trade. If they can make Javale into a player, then they made the widely criticized trade of Nene into a positive as well.

Pretty interesting watching them on The Association on NBA TV. If they win, plenty of kudos to them. My disappointment as a Laker fan would lie with their disinterest, but I still maintain this would be a very different NBA if the CP3 trade had went through.

Man, one day later, the what-could've-been really hits me for the Bulls. If Rose stayed healthy, I think they had a good of a chance go win another Title as any.

I wonder if there will be big changes to the Bulls. I wonder if they'll use the amnesty on Boozer?

I think they should, but I don't know if they will use amnesty. He's been too inconsistent this season, and they're paying too much for that.

If you follow him on Facebook, Watson places the blame on the loss on himself. Dude had a lot to live up to and unfortunately just couldn't deliver. It's hard for me to blame the loss simply on him, because there's also so many what-ifs for that game. Asik missed his free throws, and some are saying Hawes got away with not getting a flagrant on that last foul on Asik. Also, there's the last shot Watson made that almost went in. Wouldn't some argue he got fouled on that play?

Well, Watson is what he is: a back-up. And so, he had huge shoes to fill in trying to run the offense with Rose out.

Still, the most unfortunate thing was his poor decision to pass the ball to Asik in the first place. None of the other things would've happened you listed if C.J. just held onto the ball instead of dishing it.

Anyhow, again, just griping...such a promising season...gone.

Chicago's problem amongst the elite teams is that, they are only the best at 1 position. One A+ player, and a bunch of A for effort guys with B+ level talent at best. Great defensive system though.

If you look at Miami, you have arguably 3 guys in the top 3 for their position.

If you look at the Lakers, you have arguably 3 guys in the top 3-5 for their position.

OKC has 2 maybe that are, but their surrounding talent is better than most (Harden, Ibaka, Perkins, etc).

Spurs are a little different in that they have a system that's kept them consistent, but Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan are up there for their position. In terms of savvy, they are tops. But they are an anomaly.

The Celtics have a mix, but their big 3 were top 5 for their position, at least at one point. So they've been together long, so they have a mix of talent and savvy like the Spurs. But I think you get my point.

So I think Chicago needs another elite. Boozer isn't it. Their players are very likable and all, with the whole hard-hat thing going on, but the Bulls of the 90s had more than 1 elite player. Rose trying to do it on his own is gonna kill his career.

Of course, they didn't, especially Gasol and Bydumb.

Did you guys hear what Bydumb said after the game when asked about the fact that he was sitting down on the bench by himself when everyone else was in the huddle trying to do something?

well i didn't play in the 4th quarter.. so.. that sucked.

GTFO. The Lakers need to trade him after this season. He's just not the type of player that would lead a NBA team.

Hell, while watching the game last night, I thought Bynumb was the one who was fucking vomiting and having diarrhea all day.

Well, sorta kinda agree. But, as a follower of this team, I have some points where I think needs to be clear here...

Boozer is not the #2/sidekick to Rose Chicago had hoped for. Again, if LeMiniMe signed with Chicago, it would've been the ideal fit. But, obviously, we know how that sordid story went.

You guys are forgetting that the Bulls lost the 6ers plain and simple: injuries. Deng is playing with one hand essentially, Noah is out, and Rose is gone. Name me one team that can have that sort of injury list and still be successful?

While Noah is no "elite" in some eyes, he's a pretty darn good C and I'd say in the Top 8 in the NBA. So, you take him and Rose out? Not happening. Deng is and was not expected to carry that sort of load. And well, Boozer...we already know what he can't bring.

And Rip Hamilton WAS supposed to take pressure off of Rose. Too bad Rose is not playing huh? Taking pressure off versus replacing Rose is a huge difference.

I agree with everything. Maybe your message was to everyone, but I'm personally not debating the Sixers series. I'm talking about over-the-summer stuff.

I think Noah and Rose are the most important players on defense and offense respectively. I think the have an elite defense, its just that on offense, when push comes to shove, they need a player or 2 that doesn't rely Rose. I say elite, meaning, that at least 7 times out of 10, they can get their own shot like a Rose, Beef, Lebron, or Wade can.

I kinda hope for someone that can play with Rose, but doesn't rely on him to break down a defense. he can't keep doing that or else he'll break down himself.

Wow, Lawson and Brewer were on fire last night. I got home in time to watch the 2nd half and the Nuggets were playing very well as a team. I think they have a chance tomorrow.

Hope the Grizzles get the W tonight, I'd like to see that series go 7.

Clippers were 8 up in the 4th, I thought they would close. Griffin showed some hustle after loose balls but he and CP3 looked banged up late in the game. Frickin Grizzles couldn't make their free throws at the end, I thought Clippers still had a chance. They blew it by not fouling after sinking that tre at the end though.

Big game 7s for Hollywood today and tomorrow. OKC and SA getting a lot of much needed rest, with the truncated season they are probably loving every minute of it.
