Someone who knows the NBA rulebook wanna tell us why those two dunks are being hailed as offensive fouls everywhere? Or is it the effect of the NBA Superstar bias?
Regarding the second vid, I hear the argument that if the defender is within that half circle, Griffin has a right to defend himself in whatever way possible, except you know .. punching Pau in the face and that type of thing.
Some are saying no foul on the first one because Griffin was in the air before Gasol, so it's valid.
Otherwise, it's all a sea of over-the-back and illegal forearm fouls.
That said, double motherfucking homicide!

Both of Griffins dunks were spectacular but both were without question offensive fouls the first Pau had inside position and Blake came over his back and the other Blake used his off arm to fend off Pau almost any other player would have been called for an offensive foul but I think the refs let it go because its a rivalry game and because its Blake.

It was a good game by both teams and Caron Butler went off Andrew Bynum went off and Kobe was his usual self. The last 3 games Kobe is shooting almost 62% that's great especially after that 3 for 21 shooting debacle

Personally, I prefer Kevin Love or even Pau to Griffin.
The unfortunate consequence of the sportscenter highlights that Griffin's gonna get all the highlights while a guy like Kevin Love is quietly having an MVP season. Heck, even Kobe's been quietly having an MVP-type season.

Man... when Griffin went beast mode on those dunks last night, my fiance jumped off the couch and shouted.
I don't think the clips are contenders w/o billups anymore, but they sure are an entertaining bunch.

No use arguing that stuff. Good dunk, nothing was called against Griffin, Lakers win. Griffin led with his elbow, pushed off/up and there was taunted on the second one, but Pau is and always has been a high-road type of guy. Kobe's been the Lakers best player, but Pau probably was the most important piece to the championship/finals runs the Lakers had.

^^Body-wise, he sorta reminds me of Malone. However, Malone mastered the 15-17 footer, so much that no one could guard him (but Rodman, of course). Also, the fact that the Mailman had just as much, if not more of a nasty streak.
Blake isn't money in that regard yet. His back to the basket moves aren't nearly as creative, and I think he's a tad lazy on D.
Maybe he should start talking to himself at the FT line too, lol...

Speaking of Deng, they should probably rest him for a week or two once Rose comes back. Dude's playing with a torn ligament in his wrist. :|
Same with Kevin Love. It's a shame he gets no recognition since he's small market, but dude only gets an average of 5 minutes of rest each game.

^ I'm happy the Knicks won, but it was largely due to Orlando imploding. Apparently SVG confirmed during the shoot around earlier in the day that Dwight did ask management to have him fired, and then Dwight came up behind and put his arm around SVG without knowing what he was talking about. After that the reporters hounded him with questions about what SVG said.
Alot of Orlando fans seem to be unhappy with the way Dwight has been acting all year... I bet Dwight is really regretting waiving his early termination option.

No. Dwight Howard is an idiot.
He is spectacularly talented and someone I believed you can build a team around. But, his antics this year have made him drop a few notches. And I still say this: How can he NOT want to play in Chicago with Rose? Is winning not a priority for him? Clearly.

My man Demarcus cousins doesn't get much love, he will soon though. You guys should watch him and griffin go at it tomorrow, cousins said some words about him on Thursday last time they played. Might be a very physical game.

^^he's good. hasn't he had some 'behavioral' problems too? What is it with centers these days?
Andrew Bynum got tossed for talking taunting and talking smack vs. Houston yesterday. And somehow, the Lakers love making Goran Dragic and Luis Scola look like freaking Stockton and Malone.

Crazy game this morning between the Bulls and the Knicks. I managed to catch the 4th quarter and overtime. Melo was clutch, 3 pointer to send it to OT and a 3pointer to win in it in OT?!? Who needs Amare and Lin? lol
#1183
Yep. We might want to start looking at the next season. Even if we can keep ourselves in the Playoffs, we have some tough teams to go against. I didn't know Memphis decided to be such a big contender this year; they've been a bit hot/cold this season.

Let's just say some furniture moved around yesterday.

Odom and Mavs parting ways but they won't release him just make him inactive for the rest of the season and trade him in the off season.

He's still crying over the fact he was going to be traded by the Lakers way back.
The guy averaged 6.6 points in 20.5 minutes of play during his time with us, which is a far cry from where he was last year. I'm glad to see him go & can't wait to see how Azubuike does now that he's been taken out of the D-League. He was a pretty good player for the Warriors & was there when they knocked us out of the Playoffs.

There was an article regarding the deaths around him that happened a couple years ago and that he was depressed and that he is still grieving. Been trying to find the article...Can't find the article now...grr

I've always read rumors on Lamar... but after this Mavs stint and seeing him on the Crapdashian shows, I believe it's true that the guy is emotionally weak.
Knowing Mark Cuban (a player's type of GM), he probably did everything in his power to help out Lamar.
I also caught the Knicks-Bulls game and it was a good win for the Knicks and not a bad loss for the Bulls at all. Rose struggled and went something like 29 points on 27 shots, which isn't great, but he's been sitting for the past month? But I fully expect the Knicks to lose in Chi-Town on tuesday.

I usually don't care for personal lives, but it seems Lamar has had to deal with alot of deaths in the past couple of years, the lowlight of which was his infant son. I think he was in a car during a funeral procession for his cousin that actually killed someone during the lockout.
I dunno, I give him a pass. Basketball would be less important to me too.
I'm sure the trade from people he considered his family (the Lakers) was just icing on the cake. I just hope he finds a place he likes to play.
Edit: I'll add that I think the Mavs did everything for LO, and then ended up doing the right thing for their franchise. If lamar had ended up on the Lakers, that's the sort of thing that might have come back around to haunt the Mavs.

Derrick Rose possibly out again. Looks like he tweaked his ankle during the Knicks game. In other news, I heard his girlfriend is rumored to be pregnant.
